Packed to the Rafters (2008–2013): Season 5, Episode 19 - Got What It Takes - full transcript

Coby cracks under the teasing from his mates, mixed signals from Frankie and Donna's lover Duncan Galloway's improper flirtation, which also worries Dave, leading to a true assault charge after a false car vandalism assumption by Donna. The whole affair sours Dave's fishing friendship with leisurely client Ducan. Carbo still gets a bank loan to buy the florist shop after putting up his beloved car as collateral. Training the girls for the job is as hard on him as getting up so early exhausts them, so he comes up with a plan to speed up the transition to their urban balcony project.

It might sound tough,

but in life there are
two kinds of people,

those who've got
what it takes

and those who don't.

And that can even apply
to fishing.

I never really caught
a real fish before.

Not never?
Not even a nibble?

A few little ones
but nothing too big.

It looks like things
are changing though, eh?

If you stick with me, mate,

then you'll be hauling them
home by the truckload.

Yeah, Jules will love that.
Here, I'll take those.

Yeah. It's the start

It's not even 8:30.

I mean, who knew

Carbo, we're just excited,

That's okay.
So you go to bed

Uh, uh, uh!
Girls, you have to learn

-Yeah.

I've been doing this

Right. Pace ourselves.

Yeah, yeah, look, look,
if you go to bed too early,

-Yup.

And if you wake up too early,

And if you can't get back
to sleep ...

-Goodnight, honey.
-Hey!

I can't see my ice cream.

Yeah, you know,
I do feed him occasionally.

Same again?

I'm not making a habit
of this, I swear.

No, really it's cool.

Are you guys planning
to come to work tomorrow

with a hangover?

No, no not at all actually.

Well, that's a shame
because I am.

I was hoping
for some company.

-Well, if you're lucky,

I'll bring you
a bacon and egg roll.

Does that look a little
intimate to you?

-Oh, Donna, please.
-Well, she's got history,

-you have to admit.
-Don't go there.

It's absolutely fine.
Just relax.

What'd he want this time?

Seriously, it was just
a hi and bye, Coby.

My shout, guys.
Who's ready?

Hello there.

We've got to stop meeting
like this.

Baby, if I could rearrange
the alphabet,

I'd put you and I together.

-Shakespeare, right?
-Huh?

-No, I didn't think so.
-Oh, come on.

I'm here,
I'm available ...

Yeah, well what a surprise
that is.

Look, I might take a pass

but that's just
personal opinion.

Feel free to try
the rest of the room.

-Piss off.

No, it's cool, Coby.
Under control.

-Yeah.
-Yeah, take it easy, mate.

-I'm not your mate!
- Oi.

- Calm down.
-That's enough.

You, out of this bar
right now.

What are you picking
on me for?

-Because you started it.
-Are you serious?

Frankly, I don't care
who started it.

-I'm sending you all out.
- What's going on here?

Bag my clothes
and then you're

-kicking me out.
-Just cool off mate.

Ah! Pff, whatever.

Are you blokes
hard of hearing? Out.

And take separate exits
please.

Seriously, it wasn't
Coby's fault.

These guys were being idiots.

Well, that may be
but I'm not having

that kind of behavior
in this club.

The show's over, folks.

Look, I know Cobes.
Let's just finish our drinks

and give him a bit of time
to calm down.

Let's not leave it too long.

Some big nights
at the back of the pack,

that you don't expect
to see down there...

Oh, oh, oh, here he is.

And for your next trick ...

Why didn't you answer
your phone?

We were looking
everywhere for you.

I'm sorry. Okay?

Yeah.
Well, it would be okay

if you just lightened up
a bit.

Oh, he was cracking onto her.
What do you want me to do?

-Coby. Calm down.
-Ah! Forget it.

We still had
a lovely night.

Apart from
the bar room brawl.

Don't worry.

I worry when one
of my guys gets evicted.

It's just high spirits.

Are we still on
for tomorrow night?

-Ah, well...
-Yeah, well, we're having

difficulty finding
a babysitter.

-Mm.
-Oh.

Well, unless you and Duncan

would like to come to dinner
at our place?

Well, if you don't mind?

Aren't you sick to death
of the sight of us?

-Not at all.
-We'd love to.

-That's settled.
-Okay.

Well, I can guess
who did this.

Coby can be an idiot
and I'm pissed off with him,

but he doesn't go around
letting tires down.

Yeah. He got pretty

Frankie

was flirting with Duncan?

What? Rubbish.
I don't believe it.

-No. Neither do I.
-Oh, one issue at a time.

First off, I've got to speak
to Coby about keeping a lid

on that temper of his.

He can't keep
