the howling now these are horror films

known to millions



what you may not know is that they were

inspired in part by the documented cases

of human-like anthropos or werewolves

which were extensively witnessed and

investigated in saint claude and pauline

france during the 1500s

these ancient accounts and the myths

they originated remain an indelible part

of our interest in the supernatural

is it actually possible for a man to

take on the physical attributes of a

wolf

having been contacted by the u.s

department of agriculture we're

investigating strange livestock

mutilations and a brutal murder in the

vicinity of a small farming community

i had to go federal with it because uh

well you can't solve a problem that you

don't understand what course of action

did you take initially

oh we went out looking for whatever it

was it was killing george collins

livestock

and i thought it was just a pack of bad

coyotes or maybe some kids pulling some

kind of sick joke on the old man

until mr velez was killed

something ripped british shreds

not a hundred yards from one of my

deputies that was not a pretty sight i

can tell you

did you find anything out there any

evidence nope

we laid traps all through them once and

never caught a thing

the report says that there haven't been

any livestock mutilations in the past 72

hours

that's right yeah it's kind of strange

don't you think all that killing

the damage to mr valez's body matches

the singular

bite and claw marks we found on the

mutilated livestock

the victim's throat was slashed first

so as to silence him as quickly as

possible this was followed by swift

disembowelment

he died of shock and loss of blood

i can't conclusively determine what

could have caused this kind of

mutilation

autopsy reports

all the cattle we found had their hearts

missing but velez the guy who died

pathologist reported that all his vital

organs were left intact

whatever attacked him was him to kill

swift and death

but it didn't want a trophy so you think

it was a different killer

no i mean the method of claw marks match

but

i'm thinking the reasoning behind

valez's murder might be divergent

different locations animals

attack for two reasons right one you

know for food

but two to protect their territory i

whatever this thing is people came too

close for comfort

and it felt threatened and witnesses

velez was some kind of a hothead said he

was out to kill something that night

instead something killed him well maybe

in self-defense

but still i don't know any animal in

this region that's capable of doing this

and not leave any traces

where the subject believes it is able to

become a wolf

i i still don't see how the bite and the

claw marks could possibly be man-made

then there's the epidermal condition

known as hypotrichosis

coming out of every pore in his skin

well that could explain what george

collins saw that though i don't

think hypertrichosis completely explains

some

psychopath that's ripping the hearts out

of half a dozen cattle and murdering

farmhands

what we're looking at here is an

individual who could be suffering from a

variety of ailments both physiological

and psychological

let's set up environmental monitoring

and surveillance on the farm and in the

woods

i want to know if anything so much as

twitch is out there
