Outsiders (2016–2017): Season 1, Episode 1 - Farrell Wine - full transcript

The Farrell clan live by their rules away from society. They live in cottages in the forest and make their own food, garments, music and medicine. They also steal food and supplies from the local supermarket. The police chooses to overlook them in order to avoid possible problems. However, a coal company that want to exploit their land send them an eviction notice signed by the state. This gives rise to internal issues inside the clan. Meanwhile, Hasil, a young member of the clan, wants to integrate in the local town but his actions disturb the town's peace and defy the clan's laws.

Sheriff's looking for you.
Woman: ...Sheriff's department.
Executive: Yeah, we got about 200 informational packets we'll be handing out
And we'll set up a jobs table at the hearing.
(door opens) oh, folks...
This is deputy sheriff wade houghton, I was telling you about him.
It's nice to meet you, deputy.
Likewise. Deputy.
Good to meet you, sir.
So, any idea when you'll post the notice, sheriff?
Well, um.
Roger: What do you think our best course of action might be?
In terms of relocation?
And now that the mining permit's finally gone through,
We'll need them off our land, and now.
I'm sorry, I'm coming to this late.
But we need who off what land?
The farrells.
Wade here will be spearheading the eviction.
Of the farrells? From shay mountain?
We've got a billion-dollar investment at stake up there.
Not to mention hundreds of jobs for this town.
Oh, I'm sorry. (chuckles)

So when do you think you'll be able to convince them to relocate?
(clicks tongue) I'd say never.

To be perfectly frank,
I don't think you gentlemen have any idea what you're dealing with.

Roger: No, to be perfectly frank with you, sheriff,
