almost there, buddy

- you all right, buddy?
- oh, my god.

Kicking your feet

And you're caught up
in the reeds,

You could drown.

*bleep*

oh, you okay?

yeah, I'm good.

that was no joke.

what a long arduous,
very difficult swim.

Physically, I'm still one o

The toughest sobs
on the planet.

But amazon will take it
out of you, for sure.

That was tough
without any food in us.

that would've
been tough with food.

I don't care who you are.

I'm glad
we're on the side, though.

Now all we got to do
is go find our new home.

check it out.

fresh cut bamboo.

- it's obviously a beaten path.
- -yeah.

so somebody's been here.

at some point.

Some kind of structure
up ahead, buddy.

oh, my god.

hello?

Hello?

Are there people here?

hello?

it looks like
it's been here a minute.

- oh, yeah.
- nobody here.

you're right about that.

Hello?

Hello?

looks like...

Yeah, looks like
we got an old camp, buddy.

yeah, it don't look like

Anyone's been here
for a minute.

hey.

it's got some bones.

hell yeah.

That's about 10,000 calories
less work we got to do.

yeah. Just throw
some kind of an a-frame.

palms are everywhere.

- oh, palms galore.
- this is insane.

doesn't look like
anyone's been here
for a while.

Not sure why they left.

Maybe they weren't here
long enough

To tap into the resources.

check that out.

That's the tree
you don't chop.

That's the one
with that latex sap.

Poison stuff.

Some of the sap
got in my eyes.

I got to go.
I got to go to the hospital.

look at this.

Is this fruit?

oh, on the floor,
there's tons of them.

-We can eat this.
-Oh, yeah.

that's fruit.
We can eat this.

you know
what they call it?

I don't know
what they call it.

It tastes kind of like
sweet potato.

It's crazy how different
the entire ecosystem is here

There's palms, there's fruit.

I taste the sugars.

I feel that going right
to our body right off the bat.

In my bloodstream.

Animal sounds are different

It's crazy how
making your way
up a riverbank

A couple miles in this jungle
changes the whole jungle.

This is worth the move
in itself.

this is
a freaking game changer, man.

yeah!

one mile south.

heck yeah, boys.

Hey, this sucker
is looking level.

since joining up
with dan and waz.

oh, *bleep*.

matt's elite
hunting skills

Have yet to pay off.

Dammit.

leading the team
to take on
a major dock project,

In hopes of more
consistent protein.

You can fit
more pipelines here,

Like it's solid.

I'd say she works,
boys.

moment of truth.

With my experience
through all these challenges

I know there's a certain
amount of calories you need

To truly survive
in an environment.

That dock is hopefully
gonna get these guys

Back on track
to making it to 40 days.

Oh, fish on, fish on this one.

oh, no,
that's a good size.

Breakfast of champions.

Boy, you got to
love breakfast.

I love breakfast.

you got to love breakfast.

Got one fish this morning.

You know, yesterday,
we got a little 2-foot long

Electric eel.

I'm grateful and compassionate

For everything we kill
and consume out here.

I'm feeling better.

A bit of chicken here.

Look at that.

Got a chick stuff.

they got some
chick meats there.

Yeah,
fish are great consistent

Source of energy
but one fish a day...

-Yeah.
-Still not much.

no.

I mean, I've done

Way too many of these
challenges to know

You guys need...
We need, in general,

A lot of food

To give us the power
to really thrive
through the end.

- yeah.
- horned screamers.

that's three
across the shore.

If where you see
these horned screamers

Going off on
that right side...

- mmm-hmm.
- I might swim across

And do a really
nice sneak in there.

If I can try
to get over there,

I'd like to check that out.

We can swim from here
and see that muddy bank
over there?

We can get out there.

We've never been
across the other side.

If there's any different
protein sources,

It will increase our chance
at ones

We were already going for.

We really wanna
thrive out here.

It's not just survival,
it's about thriving.

You can almost get by
in 21 days

With just starving,

But out here for 40 days...

Good?

You have to, like,
really change
your calculations,

What you're capable of doing

How you're gonna do it,

Especially when
you're expending
a lot of calories

To do certain things,
you got to make sure
it's worth it.

Hopefully we're gonna get on
of these big horned screamer

Out here soon.

That is gonna be an amazing
calorie reset.

uncharted territory here.

So we should move inland
a tiny bit

Just to see what the,
you know...

We might find a game trail
or whatnot.

wanna branch left
go along the water?

Okay.

I think we venture back
in a little bit.

yeah,
let me go over here.

it looks like
almost the trees

Almost drop out
for some reason.

that's what
I wanna check out.

but further through,
they pick up again.

Good luck, guys.

Yeah, buddy.

We'll see you in a bit.

Yeah, get us
some turkey dinner.

Let's see.
See if you could find
some fruit.

Hear that?

They're laughing at you, matt.

five miles to the south.

oh, I plan to go out
my first day

Feeling better
and slaughter it

-For a day just to...
-Yeah, oh, I can't wait.

jeff's first wee
with the all-female team...

I might reinforce
this cordage

Because it's so tight to here.

Has been marred
by a mysterious illness.

amazon chewed him u
and spit him out first night

but as old
tensions returned...

Can one of you guys
go clean the fish?

Yeah. As soon as we're
done here, we will.

A new team dynamic
has emerged.

I think she's taken
the mentor thing

A little too far.

just a smidgen. Right?

You know,
sometimes you just gotta rip

That band aid off, baby.

That band aid is amber.

I just got a bait.

I'm gonna go fishing

And try to get four fish
if I can

So we can have
something for dinner.

I was hoping that I can get,
you know,

All the girls to come out
and fish

And kind of do
something different.

It's nice having
three fisherwomen versus one,

But I got to step up.

I'm gonna do it.

Hey, I got
three pieces of bait.

hi, jeff.

- hey.
- how you feeling?

- I'm doing okay.
- yeah?

I was gonna see
if you wanted
some fresh water.

yeah, I would.

you can have as much
as you would like.

- thanks.
- drink it all.

If amber's like fishing,

We can go contribute
to, like, foraging.

We could always do
a little like mini hike

- And just grab some.
- yeah.

maybe we can find
some more fruit or something.

yeah,
I would love that.

Jeff has proven himself
multiple times
over and over again.

His experience
speaks for itself.

So I know
what he's capable of.

So as a true legend
and a hero,

I think jeff is going
to be just fine.

these are different.

Looks like a purple grape

But like has a pit
like an olive or something.

It's got a giant pit inside.

I see some teeth marks
on there.

Looks like the monkeys
have been eating them,

Possibly the parrots.

I'm guessing if like
the animals are eating them,

They can't be too bad.

Jeff, I don't know
if he'll be able to eat them

If there's like any kind of
nutritional benefit from them,

But maybe he can use them
to put them in his stomach

And maybe help his nausea.

I'm gonna make myself
a couple fishing poles.

The same type of poles
I've used on every challenge,

I found they work
really well.

And I'm hoping
if I have the fishing poles,

Then god will bless me
to get over this sickness

And I can actually do
some fishing tomorrow.

This has been
the worst illness
I've ever had

On any naked
and afraid challenge.

And that's saying a lot.

The philippines
was a close call.

oh, my god.

I promised that
I was not gonna come home

One day earlier than day 60.

Anything less
would be complete

And utter failure.

I'm back, baby.

Yeah.

Still not a 100%.

I'd say I'm about 70%
right now,

But this is by far the best
I felt the entire challenge

And I will be
in a better position

To be able to help
jen and trish.

jen,
look at what I found.

Ooh.

I found some potential
new food items for our menu.

No way.
Did you try them yet?

these are...
No, I was gonna try it now.

This one smells okay.

They're not good.

It's like immediately
making my mouth dry.

It's like chalk.

I can't even talk.

My tongue is like...

Jungle olives,
not on the menu.

-No bueno.
-The monkeys can have them.

I just hope I can ge
a couple of fish

To get some food
in everybody's bellies

Because I'm hungry too.

It's like I'm so worried
about feeding them,

But I'm like
I need food, too.

I only have one
piece of bait left.

Oh, I'm gonna risk losing you.

Just like that, got it, guys.

- huh?
- did you get one?

- I caught a fish.
Yeah.
-sweet.

would you clean
this one, trish?

No, I don't feel like
cleaning fish right now.

oh, okay. I'm sorry.

Why would you roll your eyes
when I bring through fish

On a... On a leaf to say,
"hey, I got dinner?"

was that bitchy?

no,
I think that was fair.

I can't *bleep* stand that.

Jeff has been such
a breath of fresh air here.

I mean, he's just so easy
to get along with

And it just makes me
even more irritated

With the other legend
on my team.

all right. Ej,
how you doing?

good, brother.
Putting the last little touches on.

The last touches
on the jungle shelter.

Check out this guy.

Look at that. Beautiful.

yeah.

Day one at our new camp.

Woke up to all kinds of
new sounds and just crazy,

Just a whole
different environment.

And very hopeful
for what this place
will bring us.

As they say in the army,
pci time,

Pre-combat inspection
before we go on our mission.

-Yes, sir.
-Knives up.

We're going on
an excursion today.

Bringing the fishing kit,
got some bait.

All right. All right. Ready?

ready, buddy.

We need protein.
We need food sources.

We're finally getting to
kind of branch out

And see more of our backyard

Fingers crossed
finding it near the compound.

about to enter
uncharted territory.

my favorite
kind of territory.

keep an eye out,
fer-de-lances over here too.

yeah. That's what
I'm doing right now.

you okay?

yeah. Yup.
goddamn ants.

damn it.

They zit me good.

damn!

Ants, they love me. Damn it!

keep going, buddy.

look here, bud.

Look at this water right here.

yeah.

I'mma keep going
to the straight ahead.

It looks like it's a bank.

it could be a great
fishing spot.

that would be awesome.

Holy smoke, dude.

I hear stuff splashing around
right there.

yeah, there it is.

A caiman, anacondas,
oscars, wolfish.

I guarantee
you there's probably
electric eels in here, too.

Oh, this is electric eel
territory 100%.

We find a fork
in the little waterway

And a huge deep fishing hole.

You can just see the fish,
singing like a chorus.

They are attacking
the top of that water

Like nobody's business.

We have reached
the promised land.

The scales on this are insane.

I'm only capable
of doing so much,

Fish, get the firewood,
start a fire,

Cook the fish,
clean the fish.

I do all of that.

It's just slowly
chipping me away a little bit.

Hey, it's good.

I'm actually so happy
that you're here.

Like just the whole dynamic.

- uh-huh.
- The whole, like,

- Shift of everything.
- yeah.

Like, because now,
there's a little bit of
push from the other side

And it's not just
me being bitchy.

right, right. Yeah.

I've been biding
my time with her

Because honestly,
I've been too sick to...

I know.

yeah,
and that's been really hard.

She treats you two
like her children.

And I said,
"that's ridiculous."

And I said, "jen and trish
are unbelievably talented,

Skilled,
incredibly mentally tough.

They're almost done
with their freaking 40."

I'm so grateful for your truth
and your honesty.

of course.

Sometimes you just
see things that

People just can't get away
with anymore, you know.

Eventually,
she will be put in her place.

And she will
realize that, um,

She has to humble herself,
you know.

- She's not...
- good luck with that

She's not queen bee.

I just...

I'm frustrated
because I come out here
in the morning

And just try to provide
for the team

And I feel like
they're just ungrateful

And it hurts my heart

Because I've worked
so hard for them

And then they just whisper
about me and I'm like...

I wonder what it would be like
if I did leave

And go venture out

When they don't have somebody
that they actually have

To come out and fish
and do all the work

Because I've been
the only provider here

And I'm tired
of carrying the team.

And I'm feeling like I just...

I'm tired of it.

Imagine if we snuck away
in the middle of the night.

I want to.
I'm onboard 100%.

- yeah.
- I'm onboard.

- wait. A night...
- A night...

- A night...
- a night escape.

-A night escape.
-Like an irish exit.

And we can leave her
with the pot,

Leave her
with the fire starter.

oh, my god, I'm down.
I will backpack your ass

Through the jungle,
I promise you.

I just think a shift in
overall dynamic

Is necessary at this point.

I would love to do that.

Let her sit in all her glory.

I think that my spirit
is just getting worn down.

Description of
a great partner now,

If I hear somebody
who dedicates themselves

To taking care of the team,
working 24 hours,

Give it 100%
doing what the team needs,

Doing the best you can.

Jeez louise,
I should get it together.

There's no crying in fishing

first catch.

Mentally and physically,

It's the struggle
out here constantly.

But, uh, you know,
all I can do is
to keep pushing.

There's a ton of them
right here.

Got one, ej!

nice, buddy.

Way to go, steven.

I'm like shaking.

Oh, my god. Yes, thank you.

So it's our first protein
we've had in like 10 days

And it's a nice sized fish

And it's just...

Oh, it's like emotional,
it's crazy.

Need to get back in there.

There's more of them
right there.

There's another one.

yeah. Way to go, steven.

First red-bellied piranha.

- Whoa.
- teeth on that guy.

You know, these fish out here,

It's not like nemo

And like all cute
little cuddly.

No, all these fish got teeth.

One more, baby.

This is a perch.

Nice oscar here.

Got five so far, ej.

Ugh! Crazy.

Get that one fish
and that's the domino

That sets forth
all the other fish
coming into us.

another piranha.

Nom, nom, nom.

That's number seven.

Nice, brother.

Dude, you're...
I love you, brother.

I'm humbled to have you
as a partner.

I caught piranhas today.
How cool is that?

One.

Two. You know,
I said on day 23, I'm like,

"you lose five fish.

Next day, you'll catch ten."

Well, I didn't catch ten,
but I caught eight.

Seven and one
in the bait pail.

all right, buddy.
Attaboy.

we're eating
protein tonight, baby.

That's my partner right there.

-Look at that.
-Florida fisherman.

Look at that.

What it really comes down t
is, uh, hard work

And effort and perseverance
and not giving up.

Um, but what it really means
is I'm...

Totally kind of a big deal.

And the proof
is in the pudding.

Ladies and gentlemen,
thank you.

Thank you very much.

So all three of us

Just went across the river,
swam across.

Those two were headed
into the bush.

I'm headed to see
if I could get

To these horned screamers.

Keep my head on a swivel,

But also I got
to stay stealthy.

One broken branch
at this point

Can mean a trip
that's worthless.

The next couple hundred yards,

I'm gonna be tiptoeing
like a panther.

Sneaking through
like a jaguar.

And hopefully killing
like a caiman.

there's not a single
game trail out here.

Now, if there's not a hint
of anything,

Which I know
it gets covered up

Probably by the leaves
every night, but...

still, I'm gonna go
right this way.

ooh, look at these ones.

Those look really nice.

I see some out here
that is supposedly edible,

But I still don't trust it,

You don't get enough calories
to make it worth it.

I don't trust fungus
in survival situations.

You're taking a risk
by messing

With things like that
out here.

I would love to be
a fungi expert

To say you knew which ones

You could just collect
and eat.

I'd love to be the guy
that can just run along

And pick the exact ones
and flavor up some stew.

That would be my next field
of expertise.

fungi?

fungi.

all right. Here we go.

oh, you cocky little prick.

Must have hit just low.

I couldn't really tell,
but it must have...

Look like it clipped
its leg, but...

a bird?

something bigger
than a bird.

You think that was, uh,
like a panther or something?

a leopard?

Jaguars?

jaguar, that's it.

it sounded like it.

That was like
a low guttural thing.

Definitely something
we have to be careful of

And be aware of.

All right.
You ready to head back?

yup.

oh, here he comes.

-Oh, shoot.
-Yeah, I got something
I think gordon ramsay

Would be proud of himself.

oh, man.

Whoa.

Got some
blackened wolfish here.

Uh, we also have
a few piranha.

And a couple oscar, as well.

So we got a cornucopia

- Of the, uh, water species.
- yeah.

We're talking gourmet cooking
right here.

-Yes, sir.
-Amazon five-star.

How we roll, baby.

Man, we are eating fish
tonight.

Steven, you outdone yourself.

These fish are delicious.

I could feel it going
to my body right away.

My head is like...

I could feel it, you know,
sharpening my brain.

All right, mr. Piranha,
let's see how you taste.

Well, it's all right.
It's got tiny bones.

-Kind of bland.
-Yeah.

Probably best day yet
out here.

Me and ej needed that protei
more than anything.

-Wolfish has got
some meat to 'em.
-Yeah.

And after you've had
a bunch of lows

And worked really hard

To come home
with a ton of protein,

Feed your partner
and feed yourself,

That's a blessing.

Is it good food, ej?

-Did you have good dinner?
-*bleep* awesome, dude.

Dude, we both deserved it.

Awesome dinner.

Protein going in my body,
feeling so good.

It's amazing.

How are you feeling?

- starting to...
- Slow down?

- slow down, yeah.
- Yeah, take a break, man.

Go, listen to your body.

Don't fall apart, just,
you know, so you...

- I think that's smart, yeah, yeah.
- -yeah, just go.

- Whatever...
Whatever you need to do.
-yeah.

And thank you guys
for getting the...

The water boiled this...

- yeah, of course.
- This morning, I mean that...

- Definitely.
- that was crucial.

-Anything we could do.
-Mmm-hmm.

-Thank you so much.
-You got it, buddy.

-Like, I...
-Yeah, buddy.

I know I'm not a, like,
big ball of fun right now.

but I promise I'll get there.

-Yeah, it's all good.
-Yeah, you're good.

You don't need
to prove it to us.

We've seen, everybody's seen.

all right, guys.
I'm gonna go see the doc.

I've done a lot of work today.

I've chopped down palms,
I've, you know,

I built a couple
of fishing poles,

And I'm not feeling too good

What's going on?

Well, um,
I feel nauseous as hell.

And so now
I'm starting to think, like,

"okay, this is... This is...

- Kinda going the long distance here.
- " -okay.

I think I overdid it.

My stomach
is feeling nauseous again.

I'm breaking out in sweats
once again.

Um, and this is just
telling me

That the sickness is still
not out of my system.

98.98 degrees.

It's okay.-

So that's a good thing
that you're not getting fever

Because that would suggest
some sort of, uh, infection.

We'll just have you
on observation.

-We'll keep monitoring you
and everything like that.
-Mmm-hmm.

just try
and stay hydrated

- As much as you can.
- yeah.

I was feeling better.

And now my sickness
has returned.

The nausea has returned.

And I feel like *bleep*.

oh, I need that piece.

I'm gonna cut this down
for firewood real quick.

I know they talked bad
about me.

There's nothing I can do
about it.

Obviously, I'm not leaving
my shelter that I built.

It's the best shelter
I've ever built

And I'm not leaving that.

It's waterproof,

I don't wanna risk
going anywhere else

But I'm just like,

"what... What would happen
to them if I left?"

That's a good question.

I'm sure you can hear
that torrential rainforest

Death storm going on.

Super storm.

And we got flooding now
coming in.

yeah.

It's super flooded right now.

I don't like this one bit.

Ugh.

Waiting it out.

Hopefully it slows down a bit

So we can get some rest.

This is ridiculous.

You hear me? Stop raining.

Rainforest.

It's true to its name.

Yeah.

Wish I had a bottle of rum.

Getting dripped on.

I'm feeling it.

And you can see
the pouring rain

Outside right now.

So we are all huddled
around the fire.

oh, no.

how are you?

I feel like *bleep*.

oh, no.

I'm really upset.

This isn't getting better.

- yeah.
- I mean, I...

It's been eight
straight days now.

Eight straight days
of vomiting.

I'm gonna get through this.

I don't know how,

But I'm going to do it.

I am gonna go fishing
at the river, jeff,

So I can get some food,
if you decide to...

If you wanna try
to eat something, okay?

yeah. Yeah. I...

I don't even know if food
does me good at this point.

if you guys
wanna take a nap

And then I'll just do
a little work

And then you guys
can come join me whenever.

sure.

How's the old body feeling?

um, I feel...

Like, I don't think
I've ever been so sick.

not a great night
for jeff.

He's been here nine days
fighting through this

And we've been doing
everything we can to,

You know, get him on the mend

And keep his spirits high

And it seems like
it's getting worse.

When I heard you puked again,
I was like,

"crap, we're going backwards."

And that was...
That was hard to hear.

When I'm better,
you guys are...

I'm gonna give you a spa day.

I just had...

One of the worst nights
I've ever had.

And last night
was the first time

That my soul started to hurt.

I will continue fighting

Because that's all I know
how to do.

I just hope my body
can hang in there.

Four on the top, you think?

- yeah.
- That'll work.

that'll really shore
that top up.

Morning of day 29
and it rained all night long.

Everything
is totally saturated.

So, uh, we're gonna work
on the shelter.

constant job
out here in the jungle.

Patch the roof.
Patch the roof.

All right.

And we're gonna shore
this thing up.

Even noah himself
will be proud

Of what we built.

-Shelter's good.
-Shelter looks great.

mmm-hmm. It pretty much
rained all night.

But our shelter
held up pretty good.

Bugs were still *bleep*
but, hey,

Still surviving.

I'm gonna check those lines
real quick.

There's quite a bit of water
last night in that storm.

yeah. Yeah, there was.

Things are a bit soggier
here now.

Moment of truth.

- nah.
- not a damn thing.

It's harder than it should be.

it is harder
than it should be.

There's a whole bunch
of rain last night.

Really big storm
rolled through.

The water's come up
about 6 inches, 8 inches.

It's messing with our fishin
a little bit,

So we're gonna have
to figure something else

As far as putting in
some more food in us.

You guys wanna walk up
the trail a little bit?

We'll go find
some chiba-haha.

And then, maybe... Maybe
we'll get some heart of palm

- To just put something in our mouths.
- -yeah.

For me, it's just... I just
live in constant hunger.

I have less energy
throughout the day.

So we'll go ahead and try
a few different techniques

To see if we can put some
more food in our bellies.

you guys want
to head...

Should we head south
from here?

-Split up?
-Yeah.

- I'm gonna branch left.
- okay.

now if we still have
to try and bash through this.

If we can get up here
just a tiny bit... If it...

If it's easier
to walk through then, yeah.

You know, we might find
a game trail

Or what... Whatnot.

I think there's a ton
more resources

In the palm forest
that we haven't found.

It's just so dense

You can't see
five feet around you.

I know palm fruit,
usually in the tropics,

Is sort of constantly
producing at different times

So I know if there's
these trees out there

In abundance,
it's just a matter of time

Till I find a ripe batch
on the ground.

you found a bunch?

they're not huge.

It's something though.

Mmm.

Yeah, that tasted good.

Sure enough there's a lot
of them on the ground.

Kind of like mangoey

And it's chock-full
of nutrients.

Tastes like candy.

Waz and dan
have been kicking butt.

So if I could bring back
just a little snack.

Got a couple heart of palms

Nothing fancy, right?

A lot of people think,
"all right,

Matt, right, the savage,
the hunter."

Well, I'll tell you what,

You have to get
from point a to point b

With some fuel.

I regularly eat things
that you don't have to hunt

Don't judge someone by...

How much meat they eat.

I also eat some veggies.
Come on.

come on girl.
You got this.

I work hard at what I do.

I'm here to be a legend
for a reason.

I'm just gonna keep
pushing myself.

I really am just gonna lead
by example.

Oh, I just had a fish on.

what's going on?

Um, I had a very,
very sick night.

okay. Are you feeling
okay right now?

-Do you wanna sit?
-I need to sit. Yeah.

So last night was...

The worst nausea
I've had so far.

- okay.
- And the night before

Had been the worst before.

And... So like,
it's progressing.

- It's getting worse.
- okay. Okay.

I mean, I can feel my stomach

Moving and churning like...

I mean, I've...

I'm very experienced
with illnesses and so...

- yes.
- -I kind of know my body.

I've had some
of the most deadly illnesses

On the planet.
Bacterial meningitis,

Rocky mountain spotted fever,

African tick bite fever,
leptospirosis.

I've had all these things,
and, um...

And this doesn't feel good.

okay.

Based on your digestive system
and nausea getting worse,

You know,
we're not entirely sure

If we can treat it here.

So recommendation would be
to medically tap you out

And take you to a hospital,

To where you can get access
to the medication

That you actually need.

I've never failed before, man.

right now,
it's in the best interest

Of your wellbeing
that we cannot treat you here.

All right.

damn, jeff.

I did not expect it
to end like this.

- yeah.
- I am super bummed.

I didn't mean
to put you guys this energy.

we just want you
to get better and be okay.

We're gonna miss you, a lot.

It was great having you here,
for the bit you were...

Nine strong days, buddy.

thank you.

I will recover well.
I will. And...

I will...
I will grow from this

And I'm going to be
a better man

And better survivalist.

-Mmm-hmm.
-We're gonna miss looking over

-And not seeing you.
-We are gonna miss you.

Maybe the spell will be lifted

When you leave here.

Let's pray to god, right?

I am bummed
about jeff leaving.

He brought
such a great dynamic

To the team,

And I really enjoyed it.

I was feeding off of it.

And now it's like
we just fell off the cliff.

-Man.
-I'm going to, uh...

Just grab my knife,

My fishing line and hooks.

I'm gonna give that
to you two...

- thank you.
- 'cause amber has hers.

Thank you. Thanks, jeff.

- yeah.
- hey, you guys.

oh, boy.

ladies and jeff.

I would like
to present something to you.

the one thing
I'm not gonna miss.

Yeah, I know.

are they home?

Trish? Jen?

what's that?

Amber.

I'm like so excited
right now.

We can get some food
in jeff's belly.

- amber.
- Yeah?

Jeff's going, so...

What?

Yeah.

Jeff's going home, so...

Oh. What?

I just got med tapped.

I'm so sorry, brother. Oh.

they say I need
to go to the hospital.

you need to go.

I hope they figure out
what it is.

- Me too.
- -you need to get better.

- so...
- I'm so sorry you're going through this though.

This is bad.

I'll get through it.
I always do.

All right.
Well, I'm off to the hospital.

I came here to help
and I wasn't able to do that.

This one hurts.
This one hurts.

I... I'm not gonna lie.

I, uh, I understand
that failure

Is a very important process
in life,

But it never feels good.

I never had
this flock before.

What a freaking bummer, man.

Now, we're never breaking out
of here.

Never breaking out.

I know.

This amazon,
it reached out and bit me

From the moment
I stepped foot here.

I've survived everywhere.

And I've succeeded
at a very high level,

Everywhere except here.

You can't leave on this note,
so you'll see me again.

jeff is transport
to a local hospital

Where he receives
an intense treatment

Of fluids and antibiotics

And recovers in four days,

But the specific cause
of his illness

Remains a mystery
of the jungle.

We gotta start having
sustainable protein

-In our bodies.
-I agree.

Split ops today
is the best way to do it.

Yeah.

That way you go to the spot
we know gets fish

And I'll give that river
a shot to see

If it can produce any fish.

Yeah.

do what you did
yesterday, buddy.

All right, brother.
Love you.

-Love you too. Good luck.
-I'll be back.

-See you in a little while.
-Yes, sir.

look at that back there.

All that mess,
all that hyacinth.

It is completely
blocking everything,

All the water.

If we wanna get some fish,
we gotta get that cleared out.

I wanna square it up,
push the hyacinth back

So it doesn't come back,
and we have a fishing hole

On the river.

to have to make
that trek all the way

To the creek.

It's thick and it's...

And it's long
and it's arduous,

But sometimes you gotta expel
a little bit more calories

To gain three times as much

Is that a sloth?

Oh, my god.
It's a sloth.

Look at that guy.

No way.

How absolutely incredible
is that?

I've never seen a sloth
in the wild.

This is just amazing.

Nature's a beautiful thing.

We need protein.
We need food sources.

But I would never eat a sloth

Because he's just a beautiful,

Magnificent animal

And he can't defend himself
in any way.

So I'm gonna let him do
his sloth thing.

Nature karma is a real thing,
and when you respect nature,

Nature respects you,
I believe.

All right, buddy.

Thanks for making my day.

If you're anything else,
I'd eat you.

Count yourself lucky.

Nice hot day
for a nice swim.

Nice and easy.

There's a bunch
of big logs in the water

And poles that somebody cut

I'm so happy
that's already done

'cause I need those to help

Stake in those bigger logs
to help keep

The hyacinth at bay,

So we can have
a fishing hole.

That, folks, is how
you make a fishing hole.

All right.

Bait on there.

Hopefully, I can get lucky.

This is gonna be huge for us

I'm headed back
to the creek

And everything's flooded.

I mean, the... Even the...
Even the trail's hard to read.

There's water
all over the place.

This little tributary
probably raised two feet.

Whole different landscape.

The jungle changes

Literally every single day.

The creek
is totally different.

It's a lot less clear.
It's a lot more full.

And these kind of things can
change the fishing situation.

That's scary.

Yeah.

I've been here fishing
for about an hour.

flies and mosquitos
will drive you mad.

Seeing a few bites
out amongst the water

But really not
a lot of activity.

That's disheartening.

Maybe it's 'cause I just
made this hole this morning.

It needs time to settle.
I'm not sure.

Hopefully, steven's out ther
having better luck.

Yesterday, I caught
like seven or eight fish.

Today, they're gone.

Just a really tough day.

You know, since I've got here,
I haven't really eaten

A whole lot.

This truly is a hard place

To survive.

That is too far down.
It's a long way.

They just look...
Maybe there's...

Okay.

Enough said.

We're using thousands
of calories a day

Plus thousands
of bug bites to boot.

And I need to get more food.

Something that fills up
the belly to the next level

There is a few
of the horned screamers

And they're in the spot
that I've been hoping

They'd land
for an ambush point.

So right now, I'm getting
my sneak on up river

And I'm gonna see if I can
sneak in close enough.

Fingers crossed.

right there.

Fingers crossed.

Right there.
Right there.

Yeah, buddy.

You got him.
You got him.

- Yeah.
- yeah.

- Yes...
- yeah, boy.

victory of the heart, boys.

good job, buddy.

That is a big chunk of meat.

- Yes...
- thank you, bird.

You gave your life for us.
I appreciate it.

it's an emotional day.

The feeling of success
of a bird like this,

When you have to hunt
that hard,

This long,
is absolutely incredible.

It's huge.

Look at the size of this bird.

look at this thing.

Oh, man.

Good job.

We've all heard stories abou
what matt wright can do,

But he shot this horned
screamer 35 yards

Through the neck
which is this thick.

Directly right
in the middle of it.

- Oh, my god.
- you severed it almost.

Look at that.

It's incredible to see
that kind of skill out here,

And even more
to be a part of it

And to be learning from it.

It's huge. It's incredible
and inspiring, to be honest.

that's bigger
than a chicken.

We got chicken.

See the invisible,
do the impossible.

Well, today,
impossible, check.

I'm gonna start
just processing my theory.

Okay.

Oh, look at this.
There's a heron.

Right there.

Oh, my god.

I'll get it.

Oh, my god.

we got a bird down.
Bird down.

Second bird down, people.

yeah, buddy.

You gotta come check
this out real quick, buddy.

Oh, it's a good-sized
bird actually.

woo!

When it rains, it pours,
and sometimes it pours meat.

These two birds
are big, right?

We got a horned screamer.
That's a 10-pound bird.

This is like a small turkey

It's gonna make
the difference between,

You know, running out
at the end or barely crawling.

Yeah.

I'm sad.
I'm really sad that he's gone.

-Well...
-Every day
he was getting worse

And it was just
a roller coaster.

How he survived?
Think about this.

Literally,
like nine days puking,

Not holding anything down.

- I think he enhanced...
- I'm truly

Gonna miss him here,
his presence.

I'm like bummed beyond belief.

Yeah. Yeah. Me too.

I'm getting out
of the bugs, I'm...

I have a bunch
of bait and lines set up.

- I have to go back.
Is there any way...
-okay.

I could ask you, jen,
to boil this for us?

do we want it right now?

- Well, I...
- -or can we keep it for a bit?

Um...

We have to build up
a fire again.

I know.

Yeah, I just can't leave
my lines there

'cause they're tearing
my lines.

Okay.

I'll take the fish back

With me to the river.

will get
the fire started.

Even though somebody left,

You still
gotta March forward,

You still gotta get firewood,
and you still gotta

Work on the shelter,
and you still gotta get food.

honestly,
I don't even know
what she was asking.

I did not care anymore.

-I was like...
-Yeah.

You are reacting so *bleep*
heartlessly and selfish

And I just don't wanna hear
it, I don't like that.

The hard part is
I'm dealing

With my partners who...

Now they're taking it
out on me,

Their negative energy,
that he left.

Doesn't matter what I do,

It's never good enough
for them.

And if I do something
more than them,

They roll their eyes at me.

So I'm just tired of this type
of group dynamic

And I think that they need
to fend for themselves.

I just need
one more big fish

And I'll go grill them.

there's nothing
I need or want to do today.

If not... I don't want
*bleep* I mean, I'm not...

- I don't even have an appetite...
- -well, that's...

like right now,
my soul hurts

More than my stomach.

- It's like...
- yeah.

I can get through that.

I'm like crushed right now.

I know we both are.

all right.

I'm gonna get my hook out
of the water

And call it a day.

The whole entire time
I'm in the shelter,

They don't talk.

And then all of sudden as soon

As I leave the shelter,

They start giggling
and laughing.

You know, I'm like
if they're strong enough

To be out here,

Then they can start

Getting their own food.

And they need to know
what it really does take to be

A survivalist out here because
I can't carry them anymore.

I think it's time for me
to leave the group.

these guys,
we just need
to sear some feathers off.

It won't take much.

We're singeing
a few feathers off.

If any kind of bird
has a lot of...

A lot of feathers,
you can pluck,

But they got these little
tiny feathery ones.

And that little soft down
is not very enjoyable to eat.

So we singe them off.

We're putting them in the pot.

All right.
So what we're gonna attempt

To do here is make it
the screaming heron stew.

We're gonna try to attempt
to fit this heron inside...

- smash them in.
- the screaming turkey.

- it's going.
- are you excited?

You've been talking
about having this is a stew.

Well, yeah.

You know, I was dreaming about
chicken stew the other day.

And I think
this is gonna be...

This is gonna taste even
better.

right now.

That's a meat package.

yeah.
You're doing it good.

Screaming heron stew.

I think
it's gonna be delicious.

the horned screamer
and the heron in one pot.

- that's a lot of meat.
- okay.

woo.

Man, we leveled up today.
Day 29 is a good day.

Right as we were worrying
that we're getting a little

Too hungry, a little
too weak, we pulled through.

This thing
is a chock-full of meat.

It's gonna take hours to cook
down into a nice brothy,

Tasty stew.

tomorrow's day 30
for me, buddy.

- damn, buddy. Halfway.
- Yeah. Halfway point.

That's the point
where I start counting down

Instead of counting up.

all right, buddy.

Pray for a dry night.

And ej's got
his kick-ass raised platform.

No more sleeping
in the dirt for him.

We gonna get sleep.

hear that?

There's something out there.

Yes, there's something out
in the jungle.

The hell is that?

I'm not quite sure
but I think

We're hearing a jaguar.

is that what it is?

It sounds like
it's on the ground.

a jaguar, if it doesn't
like us in his area,

He'll *bleep* let us know.

Yeah.

Hear those footsteps?

It's over this way.

Behind.

He's like circling the camp.

Definitely interested in us.

hey.

Hey.

hey.

I don't see
any eyes on the ir.

it's gone.

He was like literally right
behind our shelter though.

yeah.

Crazy.

Whatever it was,
it was freaking big.

That'll wake you up, for sure.

Amazon...

Something came in
and it rustled around

Last night.

It was... It was a scary
situation out here.

It was definitely
a reality check, for sure.

We just need an extra
source of protection.

Today, what I'll do,

I'll kind of do
some housekeeping.

Might put out
a little side wall.

-Like put a post...
-Right.

And then just block it off
right here.

Really kind of d
bow and short up.

Survival is effort
all the time.

I mean, there is no sit back
and put your feet up.

There's tons of dangerous
wildlife out there.

There's all kinds
of huge-ass jaguars,

Stuff that can hurt you.

First thing on the menu,
get that shelter reinforced.

you got it.

perfect.

It's pretty good over here.

might start
on the other side now.

We're getting there.

Today is the halfway mark.

Thirty days in

And I've got thirty
more days to go.

When you're with people
who don't appreciate

What you really bring
to the table,

It really gets
in your heart and mind,

And it's really detrimental
to anybody to experience that.

So before I go fishing
again later, I'm going to take

Some adjust line
and wrap it around mine...

- mm-hmm.
- -so that I can actually river fish with it.

I mean,
you can have some of it.

I'll have
as much as I want.

It's our group fishing line.

Well, you heard him,
he said, you guys...

-You have a line.
-He said,
"this is for the girls."

- he said,
-he goes,
"this is for the group.

- I'm leaving my stuff
for the group."
- no. No. He said,

"this is for the girls,"
since you have a fishing line.

I'm not taking
much off it, trish.

I fish every day and get fish.

I just need a little line
so that my line doesn't keep

Snapping 'cause I'm using
it continuously.

you just...
You just want it your way,

Like always,

And that's exactly
what you want.

trisha, I swear
to *bleep* god,

It's not that.
Trish, can I borrow

The reel please?

Are you gonna string it up
right now?

-I'm trying...
-Right now.
I'll sit right here.

You can watch me do it.

Yeah. I mean, go for it.

like this
isn't a big deal, hon.

I hate
when you call me hon.

You hate when
I call you anything, trish.

No, I just don't like
to be patronized.

I'm not patronizing you.

It's the hon-ing,
sweetie *bleep* I don't like.

It's patronizing.

I'm not patronizing you.

It's just how I speak.
It's my lingo.

Mmm-hmm.

I have made a decision
that today

Is the day
that I'm leaving my group.

They don't know yet,
but I have done my hardest

To be a provider
for them every day.

I feel like they definitely
take advantage

Of the situation and sometimes
it makes me feel bad

When I do get fish
and provide for them.

And I don't know what else
to be except to be a provider.

And I think that,
you know, these two girls,

I've taught them a lot.

And I look forward to them

Embracing their journey here
to day 40

And really
getting out there fishing,

Providing for themselves,
and not having me.

I gotta
tell you something, guys,

Something cool, outside
on the sun bench. Come on.

I think you guys
will appreciate it.

Come here.

Since today
is day 30, which is big...

Congratulations
on both of you guys...

- yay.
- For making it to day 30,

Which is huge and exciting.

Mmm-hmm.

Today, I am leaving.

-What?
-Where are you going?

I think that you guys
have 10 days left

To really just be yourself.

And I think it's time
that I go on to my next step.

It's my journey now
to take 30 days on.

I'm just pushing myself
as far as I can go.

By yourself?

I'm gonna go
by myself.

I'm surprised
you're leaving.

I know.

You know, you guys
have everything you need here.

My journey is the 60 day.

I have to move forward.

And I've done
what I'm supposed to do.

- when are you leaving?
- Now.

- right now?
- Yeah.

I think we might walk
in the opposite direction.

Not one of them said,
"you should stay here."

Not one of them.

Trish said,
"well, maybe we'll go

For an adventure and go
the opposite way of you."

And I was like, "whoa,
that's kind of cutthroat."

So if you're leaving by
yourself, what are you taking?

I am going to leave the pot.

I'm leaving everything.

Well, I hope
you have a great adventure.

love you, babe.

I tried to not smile
with excitement

But I'm excited
to be a team of two.

Bye.

Oh, I'm gonna miss you guys.
I've gotta get going.

I know I have probably
a couple hours

To really figure out
what I'm gonna do

And where I'm gonna go.

I love you, guys.

- safe trip to you.
- good luck.

- thank you, love.
- Good luck.

Honestly,
I was really surprised

That she decided to leave

Since it was just something
that she presented us

And it wasn't a conversation

We'll see
what the next 10 days bring.

now, they gotta step up

And fend for themselves.

All right.
So here it is.

The pot of bird deliciousness

Has been going all night.

Finally.
Let's get ready for a feast.

- Oh.
- oh, yeah.

look at that.
You can already see the bones

Starting to come through.

- You just...
- oh, yes.

it's just all
falling off the bone.

yes.

oh.

that is amazing.

Horned screamer
amazon jungle-style.

Mmm.
You guys won't like it.

Just go ahead...
Leave it to me.

-It's fine...
-Okay. Okay.

You will not...
it's good.

If it's that bad.
If it's that bad.

- Let me grab that.
- oh.

Oh, god.

Mmm.

It's delicious enough

That I've debated
eating the stick.

This is amazing.

This is every bit as good
as a good fantastic piece

Of chicken or maybe turkey.

-Mmm.
-Cheers, guys.

-Cheers.
-Cheers.

Bon appetit.

We're meat rich.

We started day 30 today
eating a huge feast.

Only a part of a huge feast

Two giant turkey-like birds.

And it couldn't come
at a better time

'cause I am turning
into a skinny

Little bitch out here.

Gives us a whole
new boost of energy

To accomplish things out here.

We demolished
half of this pot.

And then there were 2,000
interesting turn of events.

Surprising morning on day 30.

Ten more days,
we're gonna crush.

It's gonna be
the jen and trish team.

maybe we get on
on that river?

I say
we go on the river.

-Let's go.
-We go fish today?

-Yeah.
-We got this.

-Oh, yeah.
-We got this.

We've had this since day one.

We are going
to enjoy fishing together,

And I'm so excited.

- And you know what?
- what?

We can be
as loud as we want to.

Yes, we can.

- let's do it.
- let's do it.

I want jen and I

To thrive out here
in the amazon.

And it's hard to do that

When you have a conflict
of personalities.

But now I feel free.

I know I can catch fish.

I've seen them
swimming around, jumping,

And I know there's plenty
out here for me to get.

I'm not worried
about that at all.

Got a grasshopper.

All right. Let's get
this show on the road.

- you ready, buddy?
- yeah.

Headed back to the creek
and the water

Should be settled by now.

And with some love
from the jungle,

We're gonna get
some protein today.

at the scene of the crime.

So much better.

Get to the creek,
the water went down,

So hopefully we should be
slaying some fish.

I'm gonna
cast the line, buddy.

all right.

oh, right here.

man, look at them all
jumping away.

Oh, my god.

I just had a catfish, ej.

- you got a cat fish?
- I had one.

oh, damn.

Had a catfish and lost him.

But I ain't
gonna lose him again.

yes! Come on.

Come on. All right.

- yeah.
- we got one, steven.

hell, yeah.

no, you don't.

You don't get away.

Oh!

It went under the rope.

Are you kidding me?

this jungle is so dense.

The feeling of walking through
this jungle by yourself is,

It's exciting
but a little dangerous.

My plan is to head north
towards extraction,

And either
find some other people,

Or find a good spot
to make my own camp.

over 12 miles

From her eventual day
60 extraction point,

Amber's most
direct path north

Will take her away
from the river,

Through dense jungle
where snakes,

Scorpions, and jaguars

Will be a deadly
serious threat.

Yeah, I've never
experienced anything

Like this before,
venturing out on my own.

It could take me hours,
miles away from our camp.

I'm already dehydrated.

You know, it is a little
scary out here

Knowing that I don't have
any water on me.

There's other resources
and ways

To actually find water.

Catclaws
provide a ton of water.

So I gotta be very vigilant
and keep my eyes open

If I see one, cut it down,

And drink some water
from it, and rehydrate.

And that's gonna be
my game plan

Until I can actually get
either a pot

Or I can find
a reliable water source

That doesn't include boiling,

Which is almost zilch
out here.

Ugh. That looks
kind of sketchy over there.

But it looks like
a lot of trees have fell down.

So I'm kind of like,
I'm gonna keep going this way.

I have the skills
to go out here and survive,

Pushing myself just
a little farther than I can.

I need to dig deep
and push forward

Because I believe in myself
and I'm gonna make it.

getting some bites.

nice.

Oh, my god, I'm so happy.

I'm just so glad.
We both needed protein and...

- yeah.
- and...

I'm thankful, dude.

Thank god, steven.

I'm glad you're a fisherman,

Because all I've got here
is a bunch of snags.

I could fish
but I am not a fisherman.

Go, steven.

nice job.

I got to size it out.

Steven, how many you got?

- three.
- Nice.

but check
at how big the third one is.

- whoa!
- Yeah.

Thank you. Thank you,
ladies and gentlemen.

It's hard out here,
getting enough

For one person out here.
For two people,

It's exponentially
more difficult.

It's just kind of late
in the day.

Last thing I wanna do
is be caught in the dark.

Yeah. And I'm starting
to get pretty thirsty.

- I don't know about you.
- let's go.

- all right.
- Love you, dude.

Thanks for coming through
for us.

Some days you hit,
some days you don't.

But we're a team.

So we had
a team victory today.

I feel super lucky
and blessed right now.

I always knew
you're a good fisherman.

Now I get
to watch it firsthand.

any bites?

nada.

Dude, nothing has even
touched this bait.

Not even a nibble.
I feel nothing on here.

Haven't had one bite?

Nothing.

And I know jen and I
can do great things.

And we are both
strong survivalists

With lots of skills
and a lot of determination.

And as far
as amber is concerned,

I hope she enjoys her time.

I know
we'll blaze our own trail.

Might not be biting,
maybe it's too hot out.

Maybe they'll bite later.

Ouch. There's a lot of devil
little thorns out here.

It's crazy,
my feet feel so tough,

But every time
I go for a walk, it's...

I get cut.

I just really need to hydrate
and kind of keep myself going

And I don't wanna get
to a point

Where I'm so thirsty
that I need it.

Right now I'm hydrated
so I just wanna keep it going.

Looks like there's a nice
catclaw over there,

I'm gonna chop that down

And drink some water
out of it.

How I would do this,
I'm gonna have to cut here

At the top, and that way
any water that's from here

Down to here
where I cut will stay

So as soon as I cut this,

I've got to cut this bottom
as fast as I can,

Pull it upside down
and drink it

So that I don't lose that
pressure holding it inside.

And let's see how it goes.

I just wanna get rid of these.

Oh. That's nice.

This is the payout
for the energy I'm expelling.

It's really sour.

Woo!

A little sour, though.

I gotta be honest,
that was actually amazing.

Nice.

Great find.

Really saved my butt.

Okay.

Let's keep going.

This is actually
fresh claw marks.

That's intense.

In the amazon, when you hav
predators everywhere,

It's incredibly
dangerous at night.

To think of jaguars being
out here is incredibly scary.

Oh, that sun
scares me going away.

Yeah, it's just such
a good feeling.

We've got fat in our bellies

We've got protein
in our bellies.

We're all feeling good.
We're all full.

While we've got this energy
matt's gonna give us

Some tips
with a bow and arrow.

The way that I feel right now,
we could do anything.

I'm gonna shoot...

We're gonna shoot
at this mound here.

I wanna give waz
and dan as much...

As much archery expertise
as I can,

Because the more
I can teach them,

The better
we have a force multiplier.

It doesn't have
to be me to shoot a bird.

You know, any one of them
is capable

If they can just harness and
really perfect those skills.

All right. So most
important thing, like I said,

You're holding this out,
stability, anchoring,

Full extension
of the shoulders.

And when you release,
you don't anticipate

The release,
you just let it pop off.

And keep
that hand still anchored

And just feel
where it's gonna go.

-Oh, heck. Not bad.
-Ooh.

-That went right over.
-Yeah.

Hell, you were in the zone.

One of the advantages
of having matt out here

Is he's one of the best
hunters on naked and afraid

I'm sure people will pay
lots of money

To get lesson from matt wright
and we get to be out here

In the amazon and we decided
to take advantage of that

And he can give us a lesson
for free.

You're leaning
a little bit back. Lean...

Yup. Just get a little
more forward stance.

All right.

robin hood.

What I do is I put
the actual point of my finger,

Goes right
to the corner of my mouth.

Yeah.

Oh. It's close.

You're getting there.

I hear something
walking around.

- Got one, ej.
- nice, buddy.

oh,
you cocky little prick.

Eventually,
she will realize

That she has to humble
herself.

the xls,
or xl success metric,

Weighs each group's
collective skills

And survival status

To determine
a likely percentage

Of reaching their 40
and 60-day goal.

After pushing
into new territory...

I'm gonna branch
left to go along the water.

matt's bow finall
took down some major prey.

that's bigger than a chicken.

Yes!

When it rains, it pours
and sometimes it pours meat.

setting dan
and waz up for success.

that is amazing.

with their targe
of day 40,

Just 10 days away.

you're in the zone.

The way that I feel right now,
we could do anything.

You're getting there.

as a result,
their team xls

Rises from 48% to 68%.

It's all right, buddy.

after a risky mov
led to a second home.

Hello? Oh, my god.

We have reached
the promised land.

steven and ej found new life

nice, buddy.

Oh, it's like emotional.
It's crazy.

until a punishin
storm changed the landscape

Everything's flooded.

and a deadly
neighbor came calling.

hey.

but they're stil
in position for a net gain.

Check out
how big the third one is.

- whoa.
- Yeah.

as a result,

Steven's xls rating rises

From 52% to 59%.

I've never failed before, man.

after illness forced jeff

Out of the challenge.

I've survived everywhere.

Everywhere except here.

and amber
decided to cut ties.

-Today, I'm leaving.
-Bye.

tricia and jen
are now left

To fend for themselves...

-We got this.
-Oh, yeah.

for the last
10 days of their challenge.

Not even a nibble.
I feel nothing on here.

recalculated
as a two-person team,

Their chance of reaching
day 40 is set at 29%.

And as amber heads north
into the unknown...

it could take me
miles away from our camp.

lack of water
and daylight

Are a grave concern.

oh, that sun
scares me going away.

halfway to her 60-day goal,

She's given an individual x
success rating of 35%.

And she may not be alone
for long.

I hear something
walking around.

I'm gonna back it up
a little bit.

I'm gonna go the opposite wa
for safety.

Um...

It's scary as heck.

Gotta keep moving forward.

That's a totally different
ballgame.

Close to end of day

And it was a busy day today.

I was able to score
some dinner.

I got a big old oscar.

A little wolfish.

Fresh pot of water there.

-Ej getting comfy.
-Yeah.

We're going to settle up

While we got a little bit
of daylight left.

Oh, oh, my good lord.

Thank you, jesus.

Thank you, jungle.

This.

Grab that, buddy.

That's for you.

Thank you, dude.

Oh, my god.

nope.

Rest is all you.

-Sure?
-Mmm-hmm. It's all you.

I tell you,
he sent me off.

I'm food drunk right now.

there you go.
Excuse me.

That's how good it was.

Grabbing all the fish.

-The is why I love this guy.
-Love you, dude.

Feel it a little lower than
you're...Than you're holding.

He zeroed it in.

if there was an apple
sitting on top of that target,

You would've hit the apple.

Yeah, I would... Definitely
would have eaten the apple

Before it ever got up there.

coming out on this challenge

I've got to say
it's not for me this time.

This time, it's the joy
in their journey.

I think giving them
as much knowledge

That they can help
to really, you know,

Boost up their own arsenal
of survival skills

Is truly a rewarding feeling.

You guys,
we've zeroed this in.

I think...I think we're
talking turkeys, capybara.

-I want a capybara.
-Like who knows?

Oh, look.

yeah, there we go.

turkey down.

Nice.

The sun is fading quickly.

I'm just gonna keep
going forward.

Oh, look, we're coming up
on the river line.

I don't know what it is,
but being close to the river

Really makes my heart smile

Because I know I'm capable
of getting food for myself.

Oh, my god.

Oh, my god. There's smoke.

I'm gonna creep up there.

Oh, my god. There's...
There might be somebody here.

What's up, guys?
