There's not much seaweed around
at the moment.

The dugongs must've hogged it all.

We hardly got any.

minus the snappy turtle part.

[sighing] Those were the days.

Well, I guess we'd better go
and collect more seaweed.

That exam was really important.

a picnic on the beach.

Sirena, wait!

It's like my boat's possessed.

It's the currents here, they're weird.

What was Sirena thinking?
This seaweed is ancient.

We swam for miles,
and she didn't even turn up to help.

Sirena?

Why does she keep disappearing on us?

I think we should find her.

[Evie] "David is mine"?
What does that even mean?

[sighs] She was in another world.
Like, she couldn't even hear me.

Hmm.

Well, the next full moon is a while away.

Why would she be like that?

Have you seen Sirena?

[Zac] She just took off.

She used her powers in the open.

And she's obsessed with David.

Hey, you guys have to see this.

We're kind of
in the middle of something.

Someone's filmed a real live mermaid.

I'm sure it's a hoax,
but they've done a great job.

It really looks authentic.

[Zac sighs] Not to worry.

I think we're mature enough to handle it.

siren song.

They've been banned in our pod
for over 200 years.

-Why?
-They were used to lure sailors

into the water and make them forget.

So, Sirena must have seen the video
and been enchanted.

But why would Sirena be enchanted
and not Carly?

The song is only effective on men,

and only when they hear it
sung by a real mermaid.

Then why would Sirena get enchanted?

Northern mermaids are
immune to the song

so I'm guessing it's because
she's a southern mermaid.

So if Sirena sings the song to David?

He'll forget who he is,
his life, everything.

He'll only want to be with her.
Nothing else will matter.

[Sirena] That's right.

David and I will be very happy.

Sirena, let's sit down
and talk this through.

There's nothing to talk about!

All that's left is to sing David to me.

Please don't interfere.

Okay, Sirena,
enough with the creepy siren stuff.

The moon pool is ours.

We've gotta stop David
from hearing that song.

He'll be at the café.

[David] It was bizarre.

The boat was totally out of my control.
It must need a tune-up.

Either that or an exorcism.
