MacGyver (2016–…): Season 2, Episode 5 - Skull + Electromagnet - full transcript

Jack scolds the team's Halloween party costumes tame, but proves the spooked one when their next job happens to be in the Bermud triangle. The vice-president's son Bill Kearns's military team disappeared with their top-secret captive in a crash. Mac correctly guesses the maneuver and spot, an abandoned island where the US base was never closed after the 13th division vanished from it after World War II. There, the wreck shows a blood trail but the escaped prisoner -rogue CIA agent Harper Hayes - and team remain missing. An old telephone rings, allowing Bill to report he's kept prisoner in an unidentified dark, cool place. Mac makes a devise to follow the signal to a base compound where Jack falls into a trap, and Sam is locked into a hyperbaric chamber, so Mac must balance several searches and rescues.

can of corn, does it?

No, I just need the
can, not the corn.

So have at it if you want.
Wouldn't recommend it.

If Cage and Wheeler
are down here,

we should be able to see
their heat signatures on this.

Is that me?

Did you just make a
1940s thermal camera?

Your brain is all swell.

That is definitely cool.

Oh.

Hey, you know what
would be cooler?

A proton pack, and
probably way more useful.

You think you could whip
up one of those real quick?

This is great. I-I love this.

I have satellite

MacGYVER: Here, I got something.

Through that door. Yeah.

Hang on just a sec.

What the hell is this thing?

Time machine?

It's a hyperbaric chamber.

For what?

Well, with all the dive training
the Navy Raiders were doing,

they probably used
that to help them out

with decompression
sickness. Huh.

Yeah.

Mac! Cage?

Thank God. Get me out.

Yeah. All right.

The keyhole's been filled
with some sort of plaster.

The tumblers won't budge.

Can we cut off the hinges?

No, it would take me hours
to cut through with my knife.

Oh, my God. The
tank's filling with water.

What?

How is that even possible?

These things are
supposed to be airtight.

Because Hayes spot-welded
a water pipe to the air intake.

Jack, she's got
about five minutes

before this whole
thing is filled with water.

This is a Special Forces tactic.

What do you mean?

Wound an enemy
force, the entire team

has to take care of
the injured soldier.

Slow us down. Exactly.

She's a distraction?
Unfortunately.

Uh, my guess is Hayes
is gonna grab Wheeler,

steal our plane and
disappear forever.

VP's son is a hell of a
bargaining chip to have.

She could get just
about anything she wants.

That's what I'm saying.

Go find Hayes, do not
let her off this island.

What about her?

I'm not gonna let her
die. I'm gonna get her out.

Promise.

Hey, Cage!

I'll see you soon.

Riley?

Jack, thank God.

Perfect timing. You got
eyes on this she-devil?

Yeah, I do indeed.

She's headed north
at a dead sprint.

Towards the radar dishes.

She's about 100 yards

ahead of you,
Jack, straight ahead.

What's that?

I don't know.

Whatever it is, it's giving off

a lot of heat.

Some kind of engine, maybe?

But everything on this island
has been shut down for years.

Yeah, so what the hell is it?

Mac! Whatever you're
gonna do, just do it fast.

Don't get too comfy in
there, you're leaving soon.

Drowning.

I'm afraid of drowning.

I fell into a neighbor's

of water ever since.

Don't even like

I'm gonna get you out of there.

I promise.

Okay, this is a

It should bust the glass.

Do it.

Just do it right now.

The problem is, this could
also shatter your skull.

Any chance you can move back?

Jack, she should be

Commander Wheeler?

She used me to draw you out.

She-she's planning...

you survived the

Ah, pretty good. Oh.

Pretty good, yeah, yeah.

Although, it's
possible that maybe

I kind of, sort of overreacted,

- just-just a little bit.

Yeah, but now that I've
faced the dreaded Triangle

Ah...

Don't laugh at that.
