Lego Masters (2020–…): Season 2, Episode 12 - Master Build - Day & Night - full transcript

The three remaining teams have 24 hours to make a construction that has both a day and a night look.

Will: This season
on "lego masters,"

the 12 best lego-building
teams in the country

came together for
the ultimate competition.

This is "lego masters"
season two.

They built for strength...

- Level 11!
- Oh!

- They built for size...
- You're measuring it?

...They wowed us
with their creativity

and their next-level
artistic abilities.

From parade floats
to puppets...

- Thwap, thwap, thwap!
- From windmills...

- Will: Holding up at 55.
- Yeah!

...To monster trucks,
they left it all on the table.

Oh, my god, no!

Well, almost.

Zack and wayne
extended their run
with a trip to the finale,

thanks to their truly
far-out build.

While caleb and jacob
earned their spot

with their most jaw-dropping
build of the season.

You are the brickmasters'
favorite build.

You are in the finale.

With one spot remaining,
the boisterous bros

edged out the diy moms
michelle and natalie.

You girls are certainly going to
inspire so many more girls

all over the usa
with your awesome creations.

Which means tonight,
it's brothers versus brothers
versus brothers.

They're literally
copies of each other!

Who will win
the $100,000 prize,
the lego trophy,

and the illustrious title
of "lego masters"?

Will it be zack and wayne,
mark and steven,

or caleb and jacob?

The "lego masters" season two
finale starts...

All: "lego masters" finale!

...Now.

Finale! Finale! Finale!

- Here we go! Look at that!
- Whoa-ho-ho!

Oh, boy. A party?

- We are in the finale.
- Whoo!

It's such a party.
What are you talking about?

Never did we ever think
we would get this far,

and yet here we are.

And I think it's so fun
that the remaining contestants
are all brothers.

- Oh, man.
- We're here.

I'm feeling good.
You feel good, bro?

Yeah, we've had
a really great run
this whole season,

- and we are just really
excited to give it our all.
- There's the trophy.

Man, that
100 grand is looking
pretty close right now.

- It's within reach, right?
- It's within reach.

It's right there.

Wayne:
This finale is going
to be a battle.

There is a title on the line.

$100,000 right there
for whoever wants it more.

Right there.

Let's go out there
and take it.

( cheers and applause )

- ooh, fancy.
- Oh, yeah.

Good evening, builders,

and welcome
to the "lego masters"

season two grand finale.

- Yeah.
- Yes, sir.

You've earned an invitation
to lego's biggest night
of the year--

even though it's pretty clear

I'm the only one who
noticed the dress code.

Yeah, that happened.

Now, what massive season finale
would be complete

without lego's
favorite brickmasters
amy and jamie?

- ( cheers and applause )
- there they are.

- Good evening.
- Good evening.

Wow, you both
look fabulous.

Thank you. You too, will.
Love the suit.

Thank you.
Yeah, I just had this
lying around.

This season,
you have done it all,

but one build still remains.

One final build
that will determine

who leaves here this week
with $100,000

an inimitable lego trophy,
and the highly coveted,

ultra-exclusive title
of lego masters.

We started out
with 12 teams of builders,

and we ended up here,
with three teams of brothers.

I raise my lego cup to you.

Cheers.

Honestly, if we don't
turn this into a meme

and blast it out
on social media,

what are we even
doing this for?

All right,
the final challenge of course
is the biggest one yet.

- Yes.
- How big?

24 hours big.

That's right,
we're giving you 24 hours

to design, construct,

and blow us away
with your master build.

We have 24 hours.
We only have 24 hours.

This isn't a regular finale.

This is a season two finale.

Everything needs
to be bigger in season two.

So, your final build
not only needs to be--

and I'm just gonna say it--

the greatest thing
you've ever built,

but it also needs
to have two looks--

a day look and a night look.

Whatever you build
should present itself one way
when the lights are on

and surprise us
with something unexpected
when the lights go off.

So, brickmasters,
it's up to you who leaves
here a champion.

What do they need to do
to come out on top?

We know you are all
incredible builders.

But true lego masters
have one magic ingredient,

and that is imagination.

In this challenge,
you can build whatever you want,

so really put your heart
and soul into it.

But a bit of advice
on this particular challenge,

don't let your model
get lost in the dark.

This is your chance
to surprise us

and give us something
unexpected

that helps you stand out
from the others.

This should be your biggest
and best build yet.

You heard the brickmasters.

Your 24-hour final
master build begins....

...Now.

Get your brick on.

One, two, three.

All: "lego masters" finale!

24 hours.

Our parents brought us
here to this country

to have opportunities
and a chance for a better life.

Now this is our chance
to give it back to them,

and hopefully
some extra $100,000

to give it back, too,
you know?

I say we do a creature.

I'd love to do that tree man
we were planning
all those years ago.

This is gonna be
one of the biggest builds
we've ever made.

I mean, we've made
some really big stuff.

We've made some big ones,
but not in 24 hours.

We want this to be gigantic.

So, two worlds
coming together in some way.

Jacob and I have
definitely been peaking

towards the end
of the competition,

which is a great,
great feeling.

This is the time
to be bringing your best.

I can't believe
we're in the finale.

We got time,
but we have none
at the same time.

- Hey, dudes.
- Hello.

- What's up?
- How's it going?

Uh, pretty awesome?

I mean,
it's been such a journey

for you guys to get here.

Don't move.

Let's go to your
journey package now.

It wasn't go-time before,
it's go-time now.

Being here in the finale,
this is our last hurrah.

I'm getting married very soon,

and $100,000
would be so awesome

to start our lives together.

I could even get caleb
a nice wedding gift
with that or something.

We never saw
ourselves being here.

- We had our lows...
- Will: Oh, my god, no!

...With caleb
driving off a cliff.

We didn't actually
get to see your strength
skills in the arena.

But we've improved
through the whole thing.

The winner of this challenge
is caleb and jacob.

The team that built
the most impressive build

we've seen
this entire competition--

- caleb and jacob.
- The new castle bros.

Caleb: Our confidence
has increased tenfold

from what we came in with.

- Whoo!
- Wow!

And we want to leave
this competition

with the zaniest and most
original ideas out on the table.

And we're back. Wow.

- The music was so epic.
- The music was incredible,
wasn't it?

And what I got from that was
how much I helped you guys.

Just by-- like, from afar.
From really afar.

Okay, so talk
to me a little bit
about your build here.

For our finale build,
we are creating

an hourglass
with two distinct worlds.

We want to create
a bustling city for the day
section of the build,

and for the night side,
we'll have bats.

We'll have those fun
little story elements

that we incorporate
in all of our other builds.

The one build
is gonna be on this side,

and the other one is
gonna be flipped upside down.

Wow.

Jacob and I always feel
the need to do something crazy.

Suspending half your build
upside down in the finale

is probably not
the smartest idea,

but it is the most fun idea.

You threw the gauntlet
at yourselves.

All right, good luck, guys.
I'm looking forward
to seeing your build.

Hope these legs
are big enough.

I'm worried that
it's not large enough.

- Wayne.
- Hey, how you doing?

How does it feel
to be in the finale?

This is, uh,
where we wanted to be.

And, like, oh, my gosh,
here we are, you know?

Got a chance to really
win it all.

How proud will your family be

if you guys come away with
this title of lego masters?

Oh, beyond.

The reason why our parents
came here to the united states

was obviously
for a better opportunity.

So, winning "lego masters"
would be the biggest moment
in our family's history.

Zack: I got a son,
I got a daughter.

We really want to
show them dad and uncle wayne
are reaching out far.

What is your favorite thing
about being here
on "lego masters"?

So far it's being able
to hang out with my brother.

- Yeah.
- Yeah.

I love you so much,
you know that?

- Aww, there we go.
- You're so encouraging.

Since day one,
we approached every single
challenge with ferocity.

Jamie:
We asked you for movement,

and you brought us
movement in spades.

Congratulations
to zack and wayne.

Congratulations, you've won
the golden brick.

Zack:
We got that golden brick,

we turned into
a bunch of kids.

My whole life is defined
by this one moment.

Wayne: Together, when our
attentions are focused,

- we can take down anything.
- Thwap, thwap, thwap.

Amy: What an incredible build
and what a wonderful story.

Will: The first team to move on,
with a kingdom that stretched

out a whopping six feet,
zack and wayne.

We're at the final step
right there, and we're gonna
give everything we've got.

Your technical builds
are unrivaled.

But do you think that
now that you're in the finale,

you've got to really
focus a little bit more on
the storytelling as well?

- Yes, we do.
- For the final challenge,

we are creating
pagoda of our lives.

During the day,
it's a column

with two dragons
surrounding it.

And then in the night,
you see a little bit of story
from our lives.

You guys have
an awesome story about,
you know, who you are,

your relationship
to each other,

and how grateful you guys
are to your parents.

I mean, that's
an awesome story.

So, I guess
we gravitate to stories
that are like that.

Look, here's the other thing.

Caleb and jacob,
mark and steven,

have been trash talking
each other for a while now.

Do you guys want to get in
on the trash talk at all?

- You know, I'm not much
of a trash talker.
- Okay.

He can yell really loudly,
"you're doing an awesome job."

okay, well, send them
a good encouragement.

You guys are awesome!
Keep doing what you're doing,
all right?

- That's his trash talk.
- Thanks, wayne.

- Thanks, wayne.
- Hs trash talk comes across
as super supportive.

All right,
I'll check in with you guys
in a couple hours.

- Oh, dear. Okay.
- Good to see you guys.

- All right.
- Thank you, thank you.

If you could put some,
like, snap bricks down here.

- Steven and mark.
- Will, will, will.

Did you build together a lot
when you were teenagers or not?

- Quite a bit, yeah.
- Yeah? And were there breaks
that happened in there?

We actually never really--
there's usually a dark age

when people don't
build lego anymore,
and then they come back to it

when they're older,
they have kids, whatever.

We never had that,
so we're just lego all the way.

Come here. Give me a hug.
Give me a hug.

We love lego.

- ♪ dun-dun-dun-dun
- nice, nice.

It was all we played
with as kids.

Our mom, our dad,
they really cultivated,
they pushed it.

I feel pretty good.

So, winning "lego masters"
would be the fulfillment
of a lifetime's work.

We came in with
a lot of confidence.

I hope that we break the machine
and get all the way to 11.

- Ooh.
- But we've been humbled
a few times.

Uh-oh, it's unsteady.
There it goes!

Jamie:
You guys did say you were
gonna break the machine.

The machine is still here.

But we've learned,
and we've matured
in this competition.

Amy: We pushed you guys
to let your imagination loose.

And, wow, I mean, this build
really, really excites me.

So, our winning team
is mark and steven.

Mark and steven.

We love sharing what
we are and who we are.

I really think we have grown.

And it's all
gonna pay off today.

- This is a huge build.
- Mm-hmm.

What's the sort of
general outline of what
you guys are doing?

We're going for
a gigantic tree guardian,
like a tree spirit man.

He's gonna be
just slowly meandering
over this forest.

And when it's night,
all the different nocturnal
animals come to life.

And then this creature's
gonna be holding two
little characters.

- It'll be me
and mark represented.
- That's nice.

This signature build,
it's gonna be really
personal for us

because these are some
of our best memories
coming to life.

Exploring--
we called it rock hopping.

We'd explore rivers
and streams.

We'd go hiking,
we'd go camping.

And this tree being,
whatever the name will be,

that's going to be
our showcase of that.

And when you turn
everything off,

everything will be,
you know, glowing.

It'll be beautiful.
It's gonna be amazing.

Great job, you guys.
Looking forward
to seeing your build.

- Cool. See ya.
- Thanks, man.

So, brickmasters,
my short-term memory
is horrific.

- So what is going on here?
- They are trying to show us

why they are
the true lego masters

that should win
this competition.

- I hope we're leaning
into the theme enough.
- We are.

We're looking for
imagination and creativity,

and those polishing touches
that we expect from
a lego master.

That looks fantastic.

24 hours,
that's a lot of time,

but it does elevate
the stakes.

I mean, this is their chance
to really shine.

They're so close
to that $100,000,
the prize, the trophy.

It's almost an endurance test
in some capacity.

This is the ultimate prize
in the lego world.

It's the highlight
of my year.

It's not coming
as quickly as we'd like,
you know?

If you have to find a way
to make it more operable...

I need to get
this thing to work.

Each segment of the dragon
is actually kind of twisting.

And it should create an effect
where the dragon is moving

even though it's
actually staying still.

But how are we gonna do it
is the question.

The size is just--
maybe we have to
make it smaller?

This is supposed to be
your signature piece,

it's supposed to describe
who you are,

but it's not working.

You're spending a lot of time
on that mechanism.

It's looking good, bro.
You keep going.

- Finish up that leg.
- Isn't that stunning?

Yeah, don't go like that.

One of the really fun parts
about a big season finale

- is you never know
who's gonna show up.
- Okay.

Oh.
I thought that someone
was gonna show up.

Hello, lego masters!
I'm back!

Billy, I did not
see you there.

Well, I wasn't here.
I popped up.

Brickmasters,
you remember billy puppette.

- Of course!
Very good to see you.
- Nice to have you back.

So, brickmasters,
what is everybody building?

- ( no audible dialogue )
- thank you.

So, this is the finale,
we have three teams left,

and we're asking them
to make their signature build.

24 hours, the biggest
and best build of their life,
filled with imagination.

But there's a twist
because it also has to have
a day component

that then transforms magically
into a night scene.

- What a show!
- Yeah, this is their
signature build.

Signature build.

Best thing that
they've ever built.

Best thing
they ever built.

- And then a twist.
- And then...

- Oh, like a twist?
- ( bones cracking )

- I can do that
'cause I'm a puppet.
- Right, okay. Good.

- Do not try this at home, kids.
- Don't try it at home, kids.

- Zack and wayne,
welcome to the finals.
- Zack and wayne, yay!

How you doing?
Thank you so much.

Amy: Tell us about
your master build.

What are you making
for us today?

It's another dragon.

We absolutely want you guys

to push yourself
in this challenge
so that we feel,

"wow, we've never seen this
from zack and wayne before."

- oh, we're not gonna do
the exact same--
- cool. Cool.

If I can get
this mechanism to work,

we should have lights
with movement.

We know we're gonna
be dazzled by the motion,

but what's the extra depth
that tells us a story?

It could be really powerful
when the lights go out.

This is nerve-wracking.

We're really hoping
we can tell an awesome story

and then also put out
an awesome build.

- Good luck.
- Thank you so much.
Thank you so much.

It's a lot.
We're figuring it out.

I know.
Finish the mechanism first,
and we'll go from there.

- Check it out, bro.
- Yeah?

- Sweet.
- This one here.

Let's build four
more of these.

- Four more blocks?
- Yeah.

What time do you want
to stack these?

- When we're done.
- Hey, caleb and jacob.

Caleb and jacob,
how is your world

within an hourglass
coming together?

It is coming along
quite nicely.

Amy: I think what you have
working for you really well

right now is you have
a big wow factor

because you've got
this big hourglass

that hopefully will be
instantly recognizable.

And then you have
this little story inside

that makes us
want to go deeper.

Right now, obviously,
you're a little bit contained

to the space inside
the hourglass for your story.

We're kind of locked in
with the scale we have now.
That's the biggest concern.

Whatever you build more,
it's about adding more story,

more detail,
bringing a little bit
of your wackiness and fun.

We've kind of confined ourselves
to a certain shape,

a shape that's smaller
than some of the other builds.

It's a very difficult space
to work within.

I'd spend as much time
as you can on that bat.
Make it as big as you can, too.

- So, I'll start him,
like, right here.
- 12 hours left!

- You're halfway through
your masterpiece.
- Yes!

And not that you needed
any added motivation

to the trophy and the title
and the $100,000,

but we've got something--

we've got something even more
to get excited about.

- Yep! Yep! Yep!
- Tell 'em, billy.

Will and I got matching
lower back tattoos!

No, no, no, not that thing.
The other thing.
The other thing.

- That was supposed
to be a secret.
- Oh, oh, oh, right.

Sorry. The winning day
and night build

will be put on display
at legoland florida resort
for everyone to see!

- Oh, yes.
- Whoa.

Wow.

We never had our stuff
displayed at an official lego--

lego venue.
That's never happened.

- So, if we win...
- If we win, yeah.

...It would be amazing.

- Awesome. Let's go.
- Hop to it.

- So, good luck.
- Yeah!

- Wayne, you hear that?
- I-- we're gonna be
in legoland, right?

- We're gonna be in legoland.
- We'll say, "that's ours."

no, that's actually
really sick.

What's going on here
with this land mass?

We're building an awesome
forest landscape

for our giant
tree guy to go in.

- Look at him. He's ripped.
- He's over there.

Actually, you know,
I look just like that
without a shirt.

- Do you?
- Yeah, yeah.

This is gonna be
one of the biggest builds
we've ever made,

and I'm freaking out
a little bit.

I have to ask.
This is the finale,

so what are
you guys gonna do

to really show off
to the judges?

- That's a great question.
- Yeah, thank you.

There's the day and night
aspect to this challenge.

- Uh-huh.
- The water actually glows.

It has movement inside
the lights in the water.

They're all hidden right now.
You can't see 'em.

- It's like a nightclub.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Like a great night club,
you know?

( dance music playing )

I like the way you move.

Thank you, man.
I like the way you move, too.

There's many things
in the landscape
I've never done before.

That's the most lights
we've ever had in a creation.

The water
is a new technique for me.

I don't think
I've ever been under as much
pressure as we are now.

I'm a little behind
on my stuff.

The tree branches
and tree trunks

took a little longer
than expected,

but they look great.

The challenge is
the greatest thing

we've really
ever faced together.

It's indescribably
difficult and hard.

Make that neck strong.
Really need a stronger neck.

There's a ton of uncertainty
in my heart.

I'm not gonna lie,
I'm scared.

Come on, come on.

Yeah, it's looking
really good.

- Oh, I saw an-- ooh!
- No.

Oh, no.
There's something blocking me
from going full flush.

It's on the motor.
Got it.

It's pretty good.
A little big further forward.

Right about there
would be perfect.

All the color against the white
will look so-- so good.

Our teams have to think
very carefully

how they're gonna
give us two different looks
in their builds--

a day and a night look.

The headlight brick detached.

They have to plan
where they use the lights,
what lights they use,

and how they incorporate them
into their build.

Mark:
We have lights inside him.

We have lights inside
his eyes and his head.

So he's gonna, like,
glow like a christmas tree
when we're done with him.

One build, 24 hours,

and the title
of "lego masters" season two

is up for grabs.

It is anyone's game.

I have acquired
the rave lights,
which are pretty dope.

So that's what's happening
in the city at night.

It's getting lit.

( phone chimes )

oh. Wait, what's this?

It says here I got
a meeting with my boss,

but I didn't have
any meetings scheduled.

Hello, is this working?
Can you hear me? Hello?

- Uh-oh. Look who it is.
- Hey, boss. How's it going?

Wonderful, fantastic.

How's everything
over there at, um...

"lego masters."

no, no, no.
That's not the, um...

"lego masters."

that's the great name
I came up with.

Hey, will!

Congrats
on the amazing season.

- Thank you.
- I haven't left my chair
since last I saw you.

It's been months.

Yes, congrats.

Ken thinks you're doing
a fantastic job,

no matter how much I tell him

that he should be hosting
this show, too.

No. No, he insists that you're
the right man for the job.

I don't get it.
That's me. I don't get it.

Thank you, I guess. Thanks.

So, I set this meeting because
I got a really killer idea.

- Uh-oh.
- Will's boss is back.

I'm a little scared,

because I'm not ready
for a twist in the finale.

Listen, I know a thing
or two about finales.

At this point,
the audiences, they have
their air-quotes faves,

so I pulled a few strings
and, uh...

...We're gonna meet
the families,

get everyone
even more excited.

How about that
for another great idea by me?

Wow, that's great.
Let's do that.

- Is he serious?
- I'm so good at my job.

Listen, I gotta hop
and go pretend that I'm
listening at another meeting.

Teams, you guys want
to talk to your families?

- Yeah!
- Yes, please.

Great! My boss finally
had a great idea.

Not finally.
He had a great idea.

He's giving us an opportunity
to see all of our family again.

It's been so long
since we've seen them.

Yeah, boss will.

It's pretty cool
to bring that back for us.

Zack and wayne.

Hey, guys,
let's take a look.

- Daddy.
- Hi, baby.

- Hi, wayne! Hi, zack!
We miss you so much.
- We miss you.

Emma, henry, and I,
we're rooting for you.

And we miss you,
and we love you so much.

There's a spot for the trophy
at the house already.

- "lego masters!"
- yay!

- All right.
- All: Bye!

- Mabuhay.
- Mabuhay!

Mabuhay.

How awesome was that?
Who is that, zack?

Oh, that's my daughter,

my son, my girlfriend,
my dad, my mom.

Yeah.

My family fuels me
to do the best that you
could possibly do.

And seeing my family
helps me re-center, refocus,

because at the end of all this,
your family's there.

- How's it going, will?
- Hey, guys.

- Take a look at what we got.
- Hey, mark and steven.

As your dad,
I just have to say I'm so proud

of what you've
been able to accomplish.

So I just ask you to be humble,
enjoy the moment,

and I hope to see you soon.

Hey, mark and steven!

- We are so proud of you guys.
- We're so proud of you guys.

Oh, my gosh!
Look how far you've made it.

I'm so proud
to be your sister.

You're truly winners in my eyes.
I love you so much.

Hey, mark and steven.
Being your mom has been
the greatest joy of my life.

I've always known how amazing
and brilliant you are,

and now the whole world
is gonna know, too.

I am so proud of you
and I love you so much.

You've got this!

( exhales )

what does that mean
to you, steven?

I didn't know
how much I missed them
until this moment.

Steven and I are very close
with all of our family members,

and not seeing them
for this amount of time
is just-- it's hard.

You know, you miss them.

So we gotta do this for them.

- Hey, guys.
- Hey, will.

All: Hi, jacob and caleb.

We love you.
We've always looked up
to you as our bros.

And we're hoping that
you bring home that trophy.

All:
You are lego masters.

Hi, caleb and jacob.

I am so incredibly
impressed with you guys
for making it this far.

But I guess I really shouldn't,
because you've been proving

how good you are
since the day that I met you.

I know that you guys
have got this in the bag,

so go ahead
and prove it to me. Bye!

- That's your fiancée, right?
- Yeah.

- Wow.
- That's awesome.

I'm definitely doing this
for audrey. Um...

( sniffling )
I'm so sorry.

I really miss her.

But I get
to see her very soon.

I'm such a lucky guy.
She's the best.

Seeing that my family's happy
is all I really need
in life, right?

I'll get more leaves.

No matter what
happens right there,
I want to do them proud,

and that's what we're
gonna do with this one.

Light this sucker up
like a christmas tree
and let's blow this joint.

Whenever you're
done with yours,

we can try and do
the flip thing.

I'm so close.

We are literally taking
one of these sections

and flipping it upside down...

- ( exhales )
- okay, the big moment.

...Something is lego is not
typically designed to do.

And this is
the heaviest build
we've made.

So, do we want to rotate it?

I have no idea.
How do we do this?

If the top half falls
on the bottom half,

both will be destroyed,
and it will be very, very sad.

This is gonna suck.

- You good?
- Oh.

Oh, gosh.

So, do you want to rotate it?

I have no idea.
How do we do this?

If the top half
falls on the bottom half,

both will be destroyed,
and it will be very, very sad.

- You good?
- Yep.

- Can you hold it?
- Okay, one sec.

But we have a lot of faith

in our strength abilities
at this point,

because they have been tested
like never before.

Ha-ha!

So far, so good.

( whispering )

feel good?

- Let me get that. My bad.
- Oh, no, no, no.
Don't drop it.

- The thing's okay, right?
- Yeah, it's okay.

- Hey, steven.
- Brickmasters.

We've got a character.

- We do, yes.
- He's all together,
more or less.

We've just got to get
his environment just right.

What are you planning
to do from this point?

You have a couple
of hours left.

Just a few little
fine-tuning things,

but thankfully
most of the really big stuff
is out of the way.

Amy: When you're
thinking of things,

think are we getting
a magical feel?

Because that's
what you sold me on
earlier on.

- Thanks, guys.
- Use your time wisely.
Thanks.

- We will.
- We'll try.

- Good luck.
- Thank you.

Amy and jamie,
throughout the competition,
have been pushing us

to go beyond anything
we've ever really done before.

- All right, I think
we need mushrooms.
- Frog, mushroom...

We're really gonna have to
step up our game even more.

Steven:
Honestly, I am starting
to feel the pressure.

No, don't pull it too much.

This signature build has to be
really impressive for them.

I want to get
some magenta extra leaves

and fill in these trees
a little bit.

But I want to make a frog
really, really fast here.

Needs to be,
like, right in there.

Put him, like, in the water
with bubbles around him.

Let's do it, let's do it.
I'll be right back.

That's actually really cute.

You can put more brick.
That would be good.

Check this out.

One hour to go!

You now have one hour
till the end of season two
of "lego masters!"

one hour left!
I'm still yelling.

- One hour left.
- One hour.

Feel free to yell
at any time.

Oh. One hour left!
Come on!

Amy:
One hour left, guys!
Keep building!

Make it your best build ever!

We're trying!

- It's a lot. It takes a lot.
- I got into it.

- Oh, yeah!
- It takes a lot.

You're not gonna do
any accessories?

I don't think
we have time.

For the first time,
rather than nervous anxiety,
I feel excited.

This build has really
come together,

and this last hour
is just a chance for us

to put on
the finishing details

and make something that's
really gonna wow everybody.

It's all highlighting
right now, okay?

- I don't like this.
- I love it. I love it.

- Okay.
- It's going to look so good.

You have done it backwards,
but maybe it'll look okay.

I'm feeling
a little stressed out,
a little worn out.

24 hours.
It's been a long build.

But overall, I feel like
we have something really,
really special.

- Is that correct?
- He's good.

This is the last check-in
of the season.

I'm gonna go check in
with zack and wayne
on this reality program,

and we are 16 minutes away
from finding out who wins

the title of lego masters,

who gets $100,000,
who gets the lego trophy.

Man, this--
this is reality tv.

Sorry, I didn't mean
to be so threatening.

I was trying to be,
like, dramatic,
but that didn't work.

- Zack and wayne.
- Hey, how are you doing?

What's going on, guys?
How's it coming together?

We are gonna make it
a fight to the bitter end
right there.

Ever since the first episode,
we were treating it
like the finale.

But, you know, I guess
we'll see how much
we have left in the tank.

Me and my brother came here to
show off all of our abilities

and the things we can do
when we're together,

and we're gonna hopefully
give you something

interesting to look at
when all is said and done.

All right,
now let's blow it up.

- What?
- Sorry, wrong challenge.

- ( all groaning )
- wrong challenge,
wrong challenge.

- Wrong challenge.
- No! That's not funny, will.

We've had enough explosions
for this season.

Steven!

What the--
you gotta be careful.

- What happened?
Does it still work?
- You tripped over it.

I got big feet. I'm sorry.

I keep tripping
on these cords.

Does it still work?
I'm so sorry, mark.

This could be the end of our
"lego masters" experience.

- We're done.
- Genuinely, I'm sorry.

Steven!

What the--
you gotta be careful.

- What happened?
Does it still work?
- You tripped over it.

Does it still work?

- Works fine.
- Okay.

- You bumped the cord.
- I kicked the power strip.

That's basically
what happened.

I got big feet. I'm sorry.

You nearly cost us
the game, bro.

I know.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

I know better. I am so sorry.

I know you're mad.
I'm so sorry about that.

- Will you please forgive me?
I'm sorry.
- Yes.

Watch your step,
especially around the table.

I'm legit sorry.

One minute left
to finish your masterpiece!

- Yeah!
- Oh, man.

- The rest is good?
- Yeah.

I'm so scared.
I don't want to touch anything.

- Do you have any more of these?
- I'll get as many as I can.

Here we go.
This is it, you guys.

Ten, nine, eight, seven,

six, five, four, three,

two, one!

Time's up! Bricks down!

( cheering )

wow! Guys, you did it.

Yeah!

Time is up.
The 24-hour build is over.

We did it.

Now we just have to see

if this build is good enough
to pull us through.

Will: All right, builders,

you spent the last 24 hours
building a signature piece

that shows us a day look
and a night look.

So, zack and wayne,
tell us about your masterpiece.

This piece is called
pagoda of our lives.

On the first level,
we have ninjas and fu dogs.

The next level,
you have the sushi scene.

Then you have me teaching
archery, coaching,

which is my biggest passion.

And the final scene
is me and my family--

my daughter emma
and then my son henry.

Wayne:
The top, it's fashioned
in the style

of a dragon's gate.

It basically symbolizes
the peak of your journey.

We have two dragons,

a black one
and a white one,

to reflect a balance.

Okay, so, it's time
to see your night look.

Ooh.

Wayne: At night time,
there are certain things
you can only see in the dark.

Zack: It really puts
in focus things

that you think are small,
but they're important to you.

Wayne: There's always
the usual day to day,

but at night time,
when things are said and done,

and you have time to think,
it's nice to step back

and take a look
in a different light.

Zack,
what does it mean to you,

to come and finish
this final build

with your brother wayne?

He's like my golden brick.

- Aww.
- Wow.

- Thanks, zack.
- What an incredible
way to put it.

I am always proud
of my brother,

and I am so proud
of what we made.

- Will: Wow. Really great.
- Both: Thank you.

Mark and steven, you're up.

Please tell us
about your masterpiece.

Steven: This is
the warden of the woods,

a 1,000-year-old
375-foot tall tree being

who roams every forest
on any continent, guarding it.

And he has a hobby--
rescuing people who are lost.

So there in his hand
are me and mark.

We have stumbled
across the warden.

Well, we've seen the day look.
It's time to see the night look.

- Wow.
- Oh, jeez.

Mark:
We went big on the lights.

We put some really big lights
with his staff.

He's got his huge gem.

His eyes are glowing
bright yellow.

And you've got a little
movement by his feet,

where the water's
being troubled a little bit
by his roots.

- Great job, you two.
Really good.
- Well done.

Caleb and jacob,
tell us about your masterpiece.

This is what we're calling
the lands of time.

It's two distinct worlds--

the world of day
and the world of night--

hanging in the balance
of an hourglass.

Our bottom world
is our day world.

We have this bustling city.

We have lots of color,
lots of life.

And up above
is the world of night,

which is inhabited by bats
and some brave explorers.

Amy: I think it's such
an imaginative and fun world,

and I can't wait to see it
in the dark.

Our night build
really comes to life,

and there's a bunch of bats
that start to wake up.

Cool.

- Great job, you two.
Really great.
- Awesome.

Okay, builders,
it's time for the brickmasters

to make their toughest
decision yet--

figure out
who's gonna leave here

the winners
of "lego masters" season two.

You can head out those doors
and meet back here

in another 24 hours?

No?

That feels
a little excessive. Okay.

How about
I'll just let you know
when we're ready?

- Jamie: Sounds good.
- Amy: Sounds good.

Well, brickmasters,
you have a lot
to think about here.

You'll figure out the winner
and we'll be right back.

And I really hope we cut
to commercial there,

otherwise I'm gonna
look really dumb.

Did we go to--
we're going now.

- ( cheering )
- yeah!

Steven:
I think we really brought out
every ounce of our potential.

And, you know what?
I'm really proud of us

for getting this far,
honestly.

You know?
Getting all the way
to the end.

- We made it.
- Whew!

Caleb:
It's unbelievable to be here.

We made it
to the final judging.

Whatever happens,
like, we did it.

Wayne: We've been dueling
with mark and steven
since day one.

They're talented builders.

Caleb and jacob,
are talented builders.

We're talented builders.

Now let's see who's gonna
become the lego masters.

- Hello, builders.
- Hey, will.

Back when this all began,
I stood right here

and welcomed 12 teams
to "lego masters."

but only three teams remain--
zack and wayne,

mark and steven,
caleb and jacob.

You won challenges.
You out-built the competition.

And you tolerated
an outrageous amount
of brick-based lego puns.

What can I say?
Brick happens.

- Very good.
- One final one.

Thank you. Thank you.

Now, you're standing here
just moments away

from learning
who will leave season two

with $100,000,
the title of lego masters,

and the most amazing
lego trophy in the world.

Pretty incredible.

Now, before we announce
the winner,

brickmasters,
which team finished
in third place?

Today, you gave us
three incredible finale builds.

We are so proud of everything

that you guys have achieved.

The team that finished
in third place...

Caleb and jacob.

Caleb and jacob, I love, love,
love that you see a world

of possibilities with every
challenge that you face.

And I really hope
that you use that superpower

- to accomplish amazing things.
- Thank you, guys.

Finishing in
third place out of 12

incredibly talented teams
is a tremendous honor.

- Best of luck, guys.
- See you guys.

Jacob and I
are going home so proud

of everything we've done
in this competition.

- We did it.
- We did it. We did it.

Thanks for bringing me
along for this journey.

Oh, dude,
it was such a pleasure.

You're a great builder,
and the twin collabs
are not done.

And then there were two.

- I feel like we've been
in this position before.
- The ultimate deja vu.

Zack and wayne,
mark and steven,

your masterpieces wowed
the brickmasters,

but one rose to the top.

Wayne:
This is the thing I want
more than anything else.

It's been
an amazing experience,

but it's, like, you know,
how does this all end?

Does it end
in glorious victory?

Or do we end up back home
thinking what could
have been, you know?

If we win this,
your life is never
gonna be the same.

I really,
really hope we win.

Brickmasters, which team
is leaving here today

with the lego trophy,
the title of lego masters,

and $100,000?

Our winning team
of "lego masters"
season two is...

Mark and steven.

Congratulations.

- ( sobbing )
- will: Wow!

- Whoa!
- Whoo!

- We did it, bro!
- Yeah, man!

- Congratulations,
mark and steven.
- Well done.

You've won "lego masters."
you did it!

Yes!

- We won!
- We did, steven.

- What are you feeling?
- We did it.

There you go, guys.

- Take it. It's heavy.
- Oh, it is heavy.

I'm dizzy. I'm like,
can I stand upright?

Can I-- can I--
can I say what I need to say?

Can I even hold the trophy?
I'm shaking so much.

This has been
the most inspiring thing
I've ever done in my life.

To everybody, if anyone
gets even the slightest urge

to find that
potential inside them, do it!

Because we did,
and here we are.

Jamie: Zack and wayne,
you should be really proud
of what you've accomplished.

Will:
You guys have done
an incredible job.

This is an experience
I would never trade

for anything else
in the world.

I got to be with my brother
and actually dueled out

with the best builders
in the country.

I wish we could have,
like, sealed the deal,

but it has been
a thrilling ride.

You guys won "lego masters!"

- you did it!
- We did it, guys!

- We did it!
- They did it!

Winning "lego masters"
is such an incredible
validation.

- Look at that screen.
- We spent our whole lives,

either as kids
playing with lego,
as young adults,

and so being here
on this stage is like
the crowning achievement.

This is the most challenging,
the most exclusive,

the most difficult lego
competition on earth.

I am so grateful.
We won.

- Thank you for playing.
- Yeah!

- We did it!
- Thank you for watching.

Now go on
and hit the bricks!

- ( cheering )
- look at that.

- Oh, my word.
- Whoo!
