-Morning.
-[Izzy] Morning.
[Ali] We have a new patient
who came in last night.
She's only a little koala.
You'll be able to give me a hand?
Yes.
Come on, then. [kisses]
Go, go, go, go, go.
Hello.
She's a very pretty koala.
[Ali] Uh-huh.
She's tiny.
[Ali] I think she's probably
two years old.
Do your koala whisper.
You're safe with us.
[Ali] I noticed
that her legs are quite tender,
-so we'd better keep an eye on them.
-[Izzy] Okay.
-Her eyes look really sore.
-[Ali] Yeah.
Green ants have injured her eyes.
She was just petrified and trying
to scrabble to get away.
She had no way out,
so I think she'd just basically given up.
[Izzy] She's a very brave koala.
[Ali] She is very brave.
All right, sweetheart.
[winces] She's pretty sore.
So, I think we need to get some eye cream
for you.
[Izzy] We'll make you feel a lot better.
[Ali] Come on, sweet pea.
Ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo!
-[Izzy] It's okay.
-[Ali] It's okay, baby.
[Ali] When they first come in,
they need tender loving care.
She needs Izzy comforting her.
[Izzy] It's okay.
You're safe. You're at the koala hospital,
and we're gonna take good care of you.
Might need to think of a name for you.
Let's see.
You're small, you're young,
you like eating...
Um... she seems really friendly.
She looks like a "Muffin" to me.
Yeah, you look like a "Muffin".
[Ali] Well, there you go.
[Izzy] That's her name now.
Muffin!
We need to find you somewhere warm
and comfy to sleep
-where you won't be alone.
-[Ali] Yeah.
Muffin,
I think we should find you a roommate.
[pop]
[Ali] In the wild, the females like
to hang out together,
kind of like a family.
So, Muffin would be used
to being around other koalas.
Since she's going to be in
for a little while,
to make sure her eyes can get better,
-we need to find a roommate for her.
-[Izzy] Yeah.
We're gonna take
really good care of you.
Let's go check out all the koalas
and find you a roommate.
I'll be right back, Muffin, don't worry.
[Izzy] Muffin ran into some green ants,
and green ants are really not good
for koalas.
This is a big green ant nest.
So, if a koala, like,
for instance, sat right here...
If the koala was sitting like that... Ow!
[laughs]
If the koala was sitting like that,
the green ants would make
a little bridge across...
and then they would all climb on
and they would climb up
onto their faces and bite all at once.
Then the koalas would try and get them off
and make it worse
by, like, scratching themselves.
Koalas and green ants are not friends.
Muffin, who do you want
to be your roommate?
We've got...
StormBoy,
Princess Leia,
Juliet,
Cinderella,
and Luna.
Luna? Do you want to be Muffin's roommate?
No, Muffin isn't the right koala for you?
I'll put you back, then.
All right, I've got the list.
Muffin, I'm going with Mum
to see who wants to be your roommate.
[snoring]
You're sleeping.
I'll surprise you when you wake up.
[sighs]
-[Ali] Hello, big man.
-[Izzy] Hi, StormBoy.
[wind gusting]
-[Ali] What do you think about StormBoy?
-[Izzy] Let's see.
He's not small,
he's not young,
and he gets a little bit cranky sometimes.
[Ali] I agree.
So, I don't think he wants a roommate,
but he's happy by himself.
[Ali] I think so, yeah.
[Izzy] Maybe Juliet?
[Ali] Yeah.
[Izzy] Hi, Juliet.
[laughs]
We got a new koala in,
and she's looking for a roommate.
So, let's see.
You're small,
you're young, you're fluffy...
-[chuckles]
-[Ali] But...
I don't think Juliet's quite
as relaxed as Muffin needs.
[laughs]
And she's getting released soon.
[Ali] Yep.
So we don't want to put her in here
and then Muffin'll be all
by herself again.
[Izzy] Yeah.
[Ali] All right, let's go.
[Izzy] Bye, Juliet.
Next is Leia.
[Izzy laughing]
Hi, Leia.
We got a new koala, Leia.
Her name's Muffin.
Can't really read this to you,
so you can read it.
[mumbling]
[Ali laughs]
[mumbling]
[Ali] She looks like she's reading it, Iz.
[mumbling]
-[Ali laughing] I know the answer!
-[chuckles]
Muffin's roommate needs
to be small, young, fluffy
and they need to be very friendly.
Do you want to share your enclosure?
Don't look at me like that.
-[laughing]
-That's what she is...
Well, I'll take that as a no.
-Leia is the queen.
-[Ali] Yeah.
Don't worry.
You're still my favorite koala.
[pop]
[Ali] Oh! Watch it through there!
[Izzy] Hi, Cinderella.
