He stayed with his parents in Karafuto.
But a plague struck the
Ainu that went to Hokkaido.
Almost half died.
The surviving Ainu returned to Karafuto.
But I remember Wilk telling me
that nobody returned to his village.
Neither Russia nor Japan gave a damn
about them. And this was the result.
The Hokkaido Ainu will suffer the same fate.
But there's hope.
And Wilk saw that hope, that light, in you.
