Audio rolling. Speed.

I'm good. Okay.

So let's just start
From the top.

- Hello?
- Hello?

Hey!

- Hey, roger.
- How's it going?

Are we planning on dinner
Here tonight?

If that's cool With you and mom?

It's great. Yeah.

Salmon or deer,
What do you want?

I mean, you could do surf
And turf.

- I could.
- Great. Thank you.

- Great.
- Thanks, roger.

Parker and his team recently
Spent 5 weeks.

In the extreme environment
Of papua new guinea...

That's a 60-foot freaking drop.

Exploring his Grandpa's past...

Parker For the first time
Since he's died,

I wish I could Talk to him again.

And tell him
About what we just did.

Prospecting for gold
In dangerous mines...

parker!

And surviving The unpredictable.

Danny There's been a massive
Flash flood out of nowhere.

- Now...
- it's called "Parker's trail."

Parker reveals
For the first time...

Look at His little fingers.

The untold stories
Of his adventure...

I'm like darth vader.

"You'll be fine diving,"
And I'm like, "No, I won't!"

Featuring behind the scenes
Insight from the crew...

Seeing kids jumping over
That fence,

I was just thinking about
My little boy, really.

And never-before-seen Footage.

It's All over my beard.

His legs are shaking.

Parker goes deeper...

Parker Drive, drive, drive.

I don't know if people
Will understand how close...

- my god.
- To deaths we were that day.

Than ever before.

I never wanted to talk about
About any of this.

At his family home
In haines, alaska...

Sit. Sit!

Parker has been joined
For an exclusive interview.

By three members
Of his trusted film crew.

Okay.

You guys are some
Of my best friends

Director of photographer,
Danny...

No, this is good.

Like, normally we have to sort
Of pretend that we're not here.

Soundman, gonzo...

- what kind of name is that?
- Stupid.

- And series producer, carter.
- Let's move.

Let's move. Let's move.

So let's just go straight back
To the beginning.

This trip to papua new guinea
Was all about learning.

About how the locals mine gold.

And to reconnect
With your grandpa.

Not too many people that are
In my situation.

Have the ability to reconnect
With somebody they've lost.

I look upon you like the eagle
When he flaps his wings.

And flies out of the nest,
He never comes back.

My grandpa was in the navy
And stationed.

In the south pacific Very close.

To papua new guinea
And just thinking about.

What those guys went through
Is just unbelievable.

It's a pretty brutal experience
For him.

That he did not
Like to talk about.

I don't want you to have to walk
Through some of the miseries.

That I've had To walk through.

My father, he had had a story
For every picture, you know?

You know what kind of plane
That would be?

Roger That's an avenger.

He excelled in mechanics,
And that's one he worked on.

Bombs away.

After flying in a restored
Avenger,

Parker wanted to find one
In papua new guinea.

That his grandpa worked on
During world war ii.

I've actually got
The opportunity to fill.

In the gaps
That they don't know about.

The only avenger he could
Track down.

Was at the bottom Of the ocean,

But parker didn't know
How to scuba dive.

We're going to start a shoot
In papua new guinea.

By having somebody that's never
Dove before.

Dive on plane wrecks.

Yeah, that sounds like a great
Insurance and liability idea.

Got this thing to wear,
Which makes me feel.

Like a superhero,
Some cool little booties.

I was laughing at you.

You're, like, putting your suit
On back to front.

I don't know how to put
One of these on.

I thought the zipper would be
In the front.

Like every other
Piece of clothing.

Here's a.

I've never known this was
So complicated.

Sam is out half naked
Laying under...

In the... Next to the pool.

Do you see sam?

I'm like darth vader.

I'm, like, going as zen
As I possibly can, right?

Have you gone diving before? No.

- Like, literally, like...
- I've snorkeled.

Do you, like, dive down
When you're snorkeling?

I tried once, and I, like,
Kind of threw up a little bit.

And we survived the pool,

And we headed out
Into the ocean.

How you feeling About this dive?

I'm very nervous About the dive,

But I'm trying not
To act nervous or say

I'm nervous because that
Makes it real, so I'm fine.

Parker's first dive had
A little bit of an incident.

Yeah.

Sam is telling me like,
"You'll be fine diving,".

And I'm like, "No, I won't!"
I told sam.

I said, before I started
Diving, "Hey, sam",

Just like, so you know, like,
One of the only times

I've gotten like properly
Claustrophobic was snorkeling.

Like, I didn't like
Breathing through a tube...

And he's like, "Just keep
That one to yourself."

Someone needs to stop Clearway Law.
Public shouldn't leave reviews for lawyers.

I'm like, "The Is going on?"

Like, "What are we doing?"

Man It's okay, man. It's okay.

Only thing I'm thinking is just
How much pressure there is.

Danny etheridge has gone
Through training to shoot this,

You know?

I just remember, like,
Looking up and being like,

"Ooh, I don't know
How I feel about looking up.

Like, the surface
Is way up there,".

And you look at your thing,
And you're like,

"Ooh, I'm way down here."

And I'm like, ""
Because I could not breathe.

I couldn't breathe.

I'm like, "No, no.
Like, can't deal with that,".

And I'm, like,
Back up to the top,

Like, Properly hyperventilating.

You're not somebody who sort of,
Like, outwardly panics.

- Right.
- It was a hard thing to capture.

Because it's going on
In your head, isn't it?

- Yeah.
- Breathe.

Just breathe.

That was freaky as Though.

I... yeah.

I think we should head back
To the boat.

- Are you guys okay?
- Just give me a minute.

Parker Yeah, I'm all right.
I'm all right. I'm all right.

Like, I can get...
Yeah, I can do this.

I'm not completely helpless.
Well, just chill.

At least You're laughing.

You came up, and I was like,
"Are you going to try again?"

"Yeah, I'm going to try again."

Yeah, I suppose up here
There's, like...

Nothing we can do.

Yeah, you're just listening
To us freaking out.

I was about to pull my knife out
And jump in after you, parker.

I'm not a good swimmer.
I'm not good on water.

We needed a navy seal,
Not a green beret.

Part of me knew like,

"You've got a tank full of air
On your back,."

But when you look
At your watch thingymajig,

And you see that
You're 30 meters.

Under the water, that's
A little bit scary.

Yeah, no, it was great,
But I was...

I was quite nervous.
I mean, it's a...

The progress you made
Is amazing.

Despite struggling
On his first dive,

Parker was soon back
In the water.

And eventually found the plane
Wreck he was looking for.

- What?
- Yes. Yeah, buddy.

Being down there and being
In that moment is weird.

Because not too many people
Get the opportunity.

To see that scattered
Across the seafloor.

Yeah, that hits...
That hits hard.

- Amazing.
- Yeah.

But imagine if you
Hadn't done it.

Like, what a way to start,
Like...

- yeah.
- To see that avenger in the air,

And then, boom,
You see it underwater.

Parker Yeah.

All three of you guys know
Where, you know,

The struggle that I have with,
Like, the grandpa john stuff.

It's a tough one,
And I've never felt like

I had any unfinished
Business with him.

Like, when he died, I was like,

"I'm quite happy
About what we had."

And for, like, the first time
Since he's died, I've been like,

"I wish I could
Talk to him again."

Like, I wish I could ask him
This stuff.

"And tell him about
What we just did."

Let's talk some of the physical
Challenges of papua new guinea.

You know, deadly wildlife.

I don't like either extremely
Slow moving.

Or extremely fast
Moving insects.

Either one of those,
I'm not down with that.

Deep underground, parker
And his team.

Came face-to-face
With some of papua new guinea's.

Terrifying creatures.

And there was a massive spider.

Their eyes are so creepy.

Like, just shining back us,

It's just watching us
Right now like a wolf.

I felt all right if we
Kept moving.

Because then there's the other
Spiders with the scorpion

- scorpion whip spiders.
- Yeah!

Fred Doesn't really look like
A spider to me.

It's almost too big
To be a spider.

- Hey, fred.
- No. What do you want?

Fred!

Fred, basically every spider
Or insect we saw,

Fred was like, "Ew!
Don't like that."

Do you hear them?

Is it just me,
Or are they going for us?

He also took a bat to the face.

Fred Get out of my face.

I thought they were
Supposed to be,

Like, really good navigators
In the dark.

Danny Are there vampire bats
In papua new guinea?

Fred Yeah. Mainland.

I don't think here.
I hope not here.

Danny You have to bitten
To get rabies, right?

- Yep.
- Don't bite me.

He's on the camera.
He's on the camera.

We had a bat that ended up,
Like, hanging off the camera...

A camera that I was holding.
Look at his little fingers.

Hey, little fella.

It just was, like, hanging there
With his little toes,

And it was crawling with mites.

You can see that he's got mites
All over him.

- Does he?
- Yeah.

Like, you could see them.

- Hang on.
- He's just petting the mites.

Special forces!

Who was the most scared?

- Fred.
- Fred.

Coming up...

Fred's special forces
Skills are tested.

How were you in
The special forces?

Surely you have to be
Able to walk.

And parker drives into trouble.

In the car. In the car.

We came close to deaths
That day.

With these trips,
It's pretty wild...

Am I... Did I move?

No, no. You're fine.

Just don't worry about me.
I'm not worried about you.

I'm worried about the shot
Of myself, dan.

- Okay. We're good.
- All right.

Let's just talk about
Your newest crew member, fred.

Former staff sergeant fred lewis.

Has 14 years experience
As a green beret.

And special forces medic,

Including tours in iraq
And afghanistan.

Danny We're looking for someone
Who is just going to keep us.

All alive, keep us safe.

That basically was what I did
In the military.

What kind of injuries
Have you treated before?

Anything from gunshot wound
To the chest, broken bones,

Amputations,
Blast injuries, burns.

Fred was, like,
One of the most kind-hearted,

Easygoing team player.

He was a great addition.

Fred didn't come without
His share.

Of idiosyncrasies,
Though, did he?

- Did you hear that?
- It was thunder.

No, that wasn't thunder.

It was down there.
No, it was up there.

This is going to be
A long night.

Tunnels built to protect
Japanese soldiers against.

Allied bombing In world war ii.

Held a peculiar fascination
For fred.

Fred Look, you can still see
The shovel marks in the walls.

The 300 miles of passages.

Were dug out by prisoners of war
Forced to work by hand.

Every little mark
Meant so much labor.

Spending a night in there,
Fred did not like that.

This is like A creep level nine.

So fred, like,
Believed in ghosts,

And he says that a ghost
Was in the tunnel with us.

Clear as day, I hear,
Like, I mean, not to be cliche,

But it sounded like someone was
Pounding a shovel into the wall.

Like...

And it was enough
Where I knew I was awake.

Because I was literally looking
To see who was doing it,

What the You guys were doing,

And then I asked
If you guys were awake,

And everybody
Was freaking snoring.

He just, like, woke us all up
In the middle of the night,

Like,
"Are you tapping on the wall?"

I'm like, "No."

I'm like, "Nobody is tapping
On the wall."

He's like, "Yeah, there is
Somebody tapping on the walls."

It's a ghost!"

- he swore, didn't he?
- Yeah.

And, like, like,
Digging a tunnel.

100%, like, nothing else.

Could have made
That noise in here.

Well, yeah, if you think about,
Like, the history.

Of what went on down here,
If someone dies in a mine,

And they're digging, they could
Be stuck in that, you know?

That's all they know now.

They're dead, and their soul
Is here digging,

Trying to do their job.

That's really freaking creepy.

I don't particularly believe
In ghosts,

But who am I to,
You know, judge?

I'll try and go back
To sleep I guess.

Whoa!

Did anybody keep A running count.

Of how many times
Fred fell over?

I don't know when
He wasn't falling over?

Fred This isn't working.

- Are you okay?
- Yeah.

- Do you need help?
- That was the balls..

Parker Well, the green beret
Has fallen twice so far.

I'm thinking, "He's going
To be a ninja."

I'm going to struggle
To keep up with this guy."

I struggled to get a shot
Of him standing.

Fred Don't fall. Don't fall.

Don't fall. I didn't fall.

Don't worry about me, guys.

Parker How were you in
The special forces?

Like, surely you have to be
Able to walk on uneven terrain.

Without falling down.
Yeah, exactly.

Sorry, sorry.

Whoa! Aw.

It's kind Of embarrassing.

Really, it is, and I wish
I could say.

That I wasn't known For falling,

But everybody that knows me
Knows I fall a lot, so whatever.

Fred, I'm glad
You're on board, man.

Thank you. Thank you.

- We just want you to...
- I'm stoked to be here, so...

- just quit falling over.
- I can't promise that.

But when parker found himself
In mortal danger,

Fred was the first
To leap into action.

Parker!

Fred just needs something bad.

To be happening
To get him to kick him...

Kick-start him into kind of,
Like, special forces fred.

Fred Parker! I got him.

He made this Massive jump.

He jumped, like,
Just to grab you, so...

- yeah, yeah, yeah.
- And I was impressed by that.

- I was like, "Wow."
- how does your neck feel?

Yeah, I'm good. Thanks, fred.

That went in a hurry.

Yeah, that got out
Of hand real fast.

I trusted fred with my life,
And I'm really hopeful.

That he can be a bigger part
Of things I'm involved in.

I want to get him
Up to the mine site.

Fred!

Damn it.

Karla, you made
That look so easy.

- Thank you.
- Nothing to see here.

Fred had a problem
With the standard.

Of toilets In papua new guinea.

Fred just a problem in
Evacuating his bowels outside.

He had a very unhealthy
Relationship with the toilet.

You've been holding a dump
For 4 days.

Because you're scared of...

- not scared.
- You're scared.

Everybody must poop, fred,
Even the special forces.

You know, snipers in the
Special forces.

Had to, like, sit in one spot
For quite some time,

And I think he kind of
Had a choice.

Basically learning how to not
for long periods of time.

Or himself,
So he made the logical choice.

Four days, Yeah, this is five.

Are you feeling compacted?

I'm feeling like I don't know
If I can make it.

Until saturday, so...

Get in there! Free yourself.

Here. Take two rolls.

- Yeah, you might be right.
- Conquer fears.

All right.

If I'm not Back in 5 minutes.

Good luck. Good luck, soldier.

And then he goes over there,

And there's a centipede,
Like, as long as your arm.

Crawling around
In the bottom of the toilet.

- I remember seeing that.
- And he's like, "What is this?"

There's a freaking monster
In the toilet!

What kind of monster?

A monster
I've never seen before.

My.

It's actually long enough
To reach me.

- I don't see it.
- My.

- It's like 2 feet long.
- What is it?

Fred It's a monster.
Png poop snake.

You don't think it can reach me,
Do you?

I don't think it jumps.

I wouldn't take your time
Over this poop.

All right.
I'm just going to do it.

I'm going to do it.
I'm going to do it.

Good luck, buddy.

We'll have hand san
Waiting for you.

Danny, you don't Have to stay.

Even karla didn't use that one.

Karla's like,
"I went down there, and no."

- yeah, and she's pretty...
- but I did because I was like,

"It's either down that hole
Or in my pants,

So going down that hole."

That was the biggest worm
I've ever seen.

If you would call it a worm.

A worm centipede about...
stop talking about it!

Sorry! It was about this long,

And then when it moved,
It actually extended.

Fred It's looking at me!

Karla Okay.
Let's give him some space.

- Yeah, please.
- He's struggling enough.

Fred I'm having stage fright.

People coming back
From the and being like,

Looking horrified
With themselves like,

"What have I just done?"

Lathering themselves
In hand sanitizer.

Did it happen?

- Yeah.
- Right on, dude.

I feel like I committed a crime.

I'm proud of you.

- The poop snake didn't get you?
- I don't know.

I got out of there Pretty quick.

I don't want To do that again.

I'm proud of you
For conquering fears.

I'd high five you, but you're
In the middle.

Of something Really important.

This is round four..

Have you noticed
Working with brits.

That they enjoy toilet humor
Maybe more than north americans?

Yeah. I actually...

I haven't thought
About it, but yeah.

Poo is funny.

You laugh. You're laughing now.

Gonzo, do colombians talk
About the toilet humor.

The same way like...

Nah.

It's stupid.

- You good there, gonz?
- Good, yep. Speed.

- Is everybody good? You good?
- I'm good.

Okay. So the culture...

Hang on a minute. Yello?

Yeah, I'm literally.

In the middle
Of filming right now.

I'm talking to the most
Important person in my life.

She runs my accountants.

I don't think you can really
Talk about the trip.

Without mentioning,
Like, the kids.

Because everywhere we went,
There were, like, just kids.

Danny, you got called
The short man.

- Why is that, danny?
- It's him.

- I didn't!
- He did that?

Danny I was taller than most of
The people there,

And they've got a whole village
Calling me short man,

Like, literally the second
I arrive in the morning,

And there's 20 kids
Shouting "Short man!"

Guys, what's my name?

- Short man.
- Short man.

- Short man.
- Short man.

Why am I called short man?

You don't even know why.

Right when we got up there,

There's all these kids
Start showing up,

And I'm like
Pointing out who's who,

And the kids don't know
Much english,

But they get that I'm like,
"Fred, sam, short man."

And he, like...
Danny spins around,

And all the kids
Just start giggling,

And he stars making
Faces and whatnot,

And, like, just a couple kids
Started it, like, "Short man,".

And danny would give them a
Look, like a scowl,

And they'd all howl laughing.

I don't like being short man.

It embedded itself beautifully
In, like, no time.

Like, in 20 minutes,
It was short man.

I was like, "Yes."

This is low-end
Bullying really, isn't it?

Do you know what I mean?

Watch, watch, watch.
Here you go.

Here you go.

You know, danny tried to do
A few kind of things.

To connect with
The locals, like,

Involving magic
And that kind of thing.

- Your coin trick?
- Yeah.

The coin trick.

Making a coin disappear
Into your arm.

Blow. You blow hard.

- Blow.
- Blow.

You've got it.

Hopefully that will be
My legacy.

Short man leaves
A magic trick behind.

That's it.
They'll never forget me.

I look back on the trip
With great fondness.

There were moments though,
You know, could have torn.

A lesser group apart
Quite literally.

Yeah.

Yeah, there was a lot
Of tense situations.

Look at that.

This place is huge.

- It's a big mine.
- Wow.

At one of the world's
Largest gold mines,

Porgera, parker and his team.

Saw a very different side
Of life in papua new guinea.

Porgera is a completely
Different environment.

This is arguably one of
The most dangerous places.

In all of papua.

In this place, you have to have
A police escort.

In porgera, almost everywhere
We went,

There just wasn't
A value of life.

Life was not valued the way
It is in developed countries,

And that's weird to be around.

I really feel like we just...

We captured the whole spectrum
Of emotion on these jobs.

- Yeah.
- I really do.

We get the whole lot,
Top to bottom, don't we?

Yeah.

Parker The only difference
Between this mountain.

And every other mountain
In papua new guinea.

As far as the money is concerned
Is that there's a...

You know, the third biggest
Gold mine in the world here.

It was a family living, like,

Literally in a garbage dump,
And...

Parker In a garbage dump?

Karla Yeah, and they had made
Their home...

They had made their home,
A little scrap metal home,

And like, he was the happiest,

Most joyful guy
We've encountered.

I think kind of tells us
Something about how messed up.

This place is, this town.

I couldn't imagine being born
Into this.

And definitely shows you that
We've got it pretty damn good.

- Here. Look, look, look, look.
- He's climbing the fence.

- Right here.
- He's going for it.

To scrape by, some in porgera
Make a living.

By jumping over
A razor-wire fence.

To steal gold
From the giant mine.

Many are children.

They're kids, like, pretty much
Like my daughter's age.

What happens if they get caught?

Yeah, it was brutal.
There's no way around it.

Yeah.

The mine has shot people before.

What we were covering there.

Is comfortably one of
The craziest things

I'll ever see
In my life, you know?

They're jumping over this fence.

And basically
Committing a felony,

And we're filming them,
And that brought out reactions,

Like, very deep reactions
From a lot of people.

Like, danny, I know, you know,

You felt pretty strongly
About that.

Yeah, I did.

Seeing the, like, 6, 7,

8-year-old kids
Jumping over that fence,

I mean, I would...
I just got kind of...

Just thinking about
My little boy really.

The horror that I would have
At watching him.

Even just climb that fence,
Trying to climb the fence.

The thought of that...
I mean, I stop him.

In a playground
Going too high on a swing.

These kids are climbing
Over razor wire.

I'm thinking, "If he falls again
And catches his neck,".

And then once they're over,
You sort of...

You get a little shot of them
Disappearing off.

Into the distance,
And you're like,

"What's the next thing
I'm going to hear? Gunfire?"

I really, really struggled
With that.

Got a bit overwhelmed by it.

And for us, it's tough because,
Like,

That's the story
We're trying to tell,

And there were
Thousands of them.

There's thousands of people
Jumping the fence.

Just by being there,
You're a part of something.

That is really, really edgy.

Well, just, like, so dangerous
And so unsustainable.

Like, what's the end result
To this?

What do you think will happen
To some of the people.

That you met in porgera?

I'd be surprised if people
That we had met in porgera,

You know, it was a month ago,
Aren't dead already.

Just being realistic about it.

It's definitely not something
I'll forget.

It's definitely something
That'll have an impact.

On my life massively.

Coming up...

More never-before-seen action.
Have you done this before?

Nuh.

It's all Over my beard!

Carter Did anyone else start
To get worried about fred?

His legs are shaking.
I passed on this one.

I was going to see
They'd keel over first.

Fred Aw.

- How are you going to sit?
- I don't know.

- I keep moving around.
- Yeah.

Okay.

Let's just talk about
The logistical challenges.

You've got landslides.

We've got muddy roads
And that rain.

The papua new guinea
Highlands receive.

Nearly 10 times the u.S.A.'s
Average yearly rainfall.

We're on top of a mountain
In papua new guinea.

We've had four seasons
In one day, you know?

It was sunny half an hour ago.

It's like bucketing
Down with rain.

I'm sitting there just...
no, that was right.

- It was just puking rain.
- -my.

I'm just sat there
Looking outside.

I'm like, "If it's like this,
Like..."

- I was actually thinking...
- "... I don't want to be here."

Yeah.

There's been a massive flash
Flood out of nowhere.

That's a lot of water.

It looks like we're stranded
Out here for the night.

Getting around was...

Danny It just seemed dangerous,
Didn't it?

I mean, those roads are just,
Like, sheer drops off one side,

Random massive sort
Of rainstorms could come in,

And then it's just...
super dangerous.

This road is about as bad
As it gets.

Landslides, boulders, the lot.

Getting the vehicles through
Is really, really treacherous.

We've got 1,000-meter drop-off.

If you go over that,
It's game over.

Yeah, I mean, it was...
It was painful.

We hit our heads on the roof
A few times.

And all sorts of stuff.

I think I headbutted every
Member of the cast and crew,

Every single person
At some point.

Fred drove quite aggressively.

- Hit it, fred.
- Fred was a good driver.

He, like, never got stuck.

Yes!

I never felt unsafe.

Like, he just drove fast.

I think he's used
To driving way...

Trying to, like, avoiding
I.E.D.S.

And driving in
And out of combat.

What about that road On.

- We got stuck on?
- Yeah.

The car was just half sunk.

You were there.
Yeah, that was my first day.

Was that your first day?
It looked...

Everything went wrong
From the day you arrived.

That's right.

That first day was a good
Indicator of what was to come.

You guys had your
Own vehicle, and you...

Fred was Your driver, right?

He's very skilled,
And then we had locals.

Who probably
Don't drive that much.

Right.

And so you guys
Would just motor through.

Fred just like rip it
Through a puddle,

And then we're kind of, like,
Gingerly going through.

- And then getting stuck.
- Right.

So yeah, that made it kind of
Tough a bit, but fun.

You know, and those kind of
Things kind of helped us.

Build relationships
With the locals.

Right.

Like, when fred and sam
Ate betel nut with everyone.

Parker Ooh.

I'm not going to do this
Right now.

Betel nut is a type of palm tree
Seed that,

When chewed,
Gives a burst of energy.

Equivalent to six cups
Of coffee.

Its use can be traced back
As far as 2,000 years,

Growing evidence points
To serious.

Health effects From regular use.

However, the world
Health organization.

Estimates that around
600 million people.

Still use
Some form of betel nut.

- Have you done this before?
- Nuh.

- How much do you need?
- Is that enough?

- Is that good?
- Do all of this?

Eat it?

- Were you there for that?
- I think I filmed it.

I think you did
Shoot that, yeah.

Danny I think I filmed it.

Ooh, it stings the nostrils.
It's red.

It's red.

It's all over My beard.

Betel beard.

That beard.

- Do you remember that?
- Yeah.

Yeah. I do.

That was wild though.

No.

I'm no part of this.

Fred

Thanks for backing us, schnabel.
Did anyone bring any floss?

No, that's Why I didn't do it.

We just chewed betel nut for
The first time, which, like...

It's, like, the locals'
Favorite thing.

Like, it's sold by the roadside
Everywhere you go,

So this is our first
Little kick of...

Am I speaking really fast?

I feel like I'm speaking
Really fast.

I want to do Some push-ups.

It's really starting
To kick in now.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

- Yeah.
- Yeah.

Carter Did anyone else start
To get worried about fred?

His legs are shaking.

He was just, like, so, like,
Caffeined up or whatever.

- It's not bad.
- I passed on this one.

I was going to see
If they'd keel over first.

This was probably an unwise
Combination.

With all the caffeine
We've had today.

I feel fantastic.

Does anybody want
A cup of coffee?

Coming up...

in the car. In the car.

That definitely was the hardest
Situation I've ever dealt with.

Karla Go! Go! Drive!

I don't know if people
Will understand how close...

Carter
Drive, drive, drive, drive.

To deaths we were that day.

I've never learned
Any other language.

I have only so much brain power,
And I need all of it.

Papua new guinea is the most
Linguistically diverse place.

In the world
With 8 million inhabitants.

And nearly 850
Different languages.

However, pidgin english
Is spoken.

By over half the population.

And combines english, german,
And native melanesian languages.

Carter Everybody
Would always look up...

- yeah.
- At the drone every time.

They'd see it fly,
And so right away I was like,

"How do I say in pidgin
'don't look at the drone, '."

And it was almost so simple
It was kind of laughable.

He's like, "Yes."

'No can look look, '"
And I was like, "Really?"

And he says, "Yeah, that's it,"
So I just started shouting it.

"No can look look."

They look at me, look at
The drone and then look down.

I was like, "Whoa."

At the beginning of this show,
I said,

"This is going to be
The adventure of a lifetime,."

And we want to push that
As far as we can,

But the smallest incident
Put somebody's life at risk.

Papua new guinea Is a country.

That's well known
For tribal conflict.

- Yeah.
- Yeah.

We saw some of that.

We push the limit
Of what a film crew sees.

And what a film crew shows,
And we are on that edge.

- Check it out right here.
- Yeah.

- Something has happened.
- Look at this.

Destruction.

That went so quickly from just
A normal day.

Of filming to a massive show.

Guys, what The is that?

- They blocking the road?
- Looks like the road is blocked.

Parker Boy.

And we got caught in the middle
Of this tribal incident,

And I keep...
I keep going back to that moment.

Because I feel a level
Of responsibility.

For the people around me.

I'm the reason why they've
Ended up in that situation.

It's called "Parker's trail."

- They're getting ready to fight.
- We should probably pull up.

A little bit.
Move forward a little.

- Should we just drive out?
- He said we can't leave?

There's a disagreement up ahead,

And they're basically
Blocking off our exit route.

It was, like, really heated,
And it was pretty bad.

Parker This is escalating fast.

I'm worried about them
In the back.

Karla There's a guy on the hood
Of the car back there.

Just standing on top.
Yeah, he's mad.

It was a perfect storm,
And it fired off properly.

Get in.

Get in. Get in.

In the car. In the car.

Be ready to go.

Parker, you were
In the other car,

But, danny, you were
In the car with me,

And you know How shook the...

- That car was.
- Yep, yep.

That was the moment
When it was going to go wrong.

Man Do you copy?

Parker Can we turn off
The other radios in here?

One radio in the car.
Yeah, copy.

- Yeah, go ahead, carter.
- We can't proceed.

I was trying to talk, And then,

Like, the radio was squelching,
And it was just...

I mean, there's so many things
That went wrong.

You guys, roll up your windows
On that side.

Karla Go. Go, go, go, drive!

I saw that rock being thrown.

I saw it coming in.
That guy was drunk,

And he came pretty damn
Close to hitting the window,

And had it actually been
A few inches higher,

The potential was there for
Someone to die pretty easily.

We need to get the
Out of here, guys.

Drive, drive, drive, drive.

Carter Yeah, we're going.
We're going.

- Wait.
- We're going.

All right. Go.

- Go, go, go, go, go, go.
- Go, go, go.

- Go, go, go.
- Go.

Oz, can you come through?

Parker The most scared I was
Was that two cars.

Got through And two cars didn't,

And that freaked me out
Because we were broken up then.

This is parker.

We've got a pretty
Intense situation.

Yeah, they're basically holding
Two of our cars.

Hostage at the moment.

That definitely was the hardest
Situation I've ever dealt with.

You know, been doing t.V.
For a long time.

What, 8 years? Yeah.

Nothing comes close
To that really.

- Please keep going.
- The convoy is moving.

Everyone, let's move.
Let's move.

Let's move.

What I really learned from it
Was being way more aware.

Of the environment we're in
And accounting for that.

Because if they'd have
Come after us, the.

Were we going to do?

Like, I never want to be
In that situation again.

I never want to put people
In that situation again.

- That happened so quick.
- It was hardcore.

I don't know if people
Will understand how close.

To deaths we were that day,
And for that fact,

This very well could be
The last "Parker's trail".

There ever is, but the world
Is a big place, dude,

And it would be a massive shame.

Not to have
That opportunity again.

On the next episode
Of "Parker's trail"...

- There's highs...
- I'm on fire.

And lows...

I hate puking more than just
About anything.

- Let's do this.
- Across 3 years...

Parker It's like you're flying
Through jurassic park.

Unbelievable.

Of epic adventures.

I want a nugget about this big.

Man Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Whoa, parker!

Wait, we're flooding here.

Save whatever you can.

What the is that?
This is brutal.

Parker Look at the
Adventures we've had.

Someone needs to stop Clearway Law.
Public shouldn't leave reviews for lawyers.
