It's called haunted hollow.

Haunted hollow
is a Halloween attraction



that sits on 12 acres of land.

There is a caretaker
that lives on this land.

This caretaker has seen
what he describes

as a gray,
walking-upright creature.

This land is thousands
and thousands of years old,

inhabited by the ute people.

So what are we dealing
with here?

Is it a spirit?

Is it an elemental?

Or is it something ancient?

The central focus of our
investigation

is the massive forest,

which encompasses
this decades-old attraction,

and the countless cycles
of fear haunted hollow generates

is only a small piece
of this puzzle

as we look to unearth the source
of this mysterious entity

affecting those who dare
to enter these woods.

Now, this is the really scary
part about this place is,

we're not so much investigating

in where the attraction
is as the land.

This is really ancient land.

the more I'm beginning
to believe

there could be a very large
entity in these woods,

and we learn that travis
is not the only one

to come face-to-face with it.

What are we dealing with here,

Zak, whatever is going on here
is dark,

and I witnessed something
I cannot explain,

and it had a toll on myself
and my team that...

So it affected you? Absolutely.

And you had two eyewitnesses

We were just doing a preliminary
run-through real quick,

just to check out the location.

They called us in to come in
and investigate

where travis said he saw it.

What we encountered
was something that appeared

to be about 7 to 8 feet tall.

Skin was, like, kind of grayish
colored, and it was huge.

And it had full control
over three of us.

You were just locked on
to whatever this was.

And we were in full paralysis.

What happened after this
happened to you,

when you all got
just in paralysis?

We went back to base camp.

We all felt, like,
pressure on our neck.

Mm-hmm.

I didn't realize anything
had happened,

and I had very visible
choke marks on my neck,

red marks that are
undescribable.

As the nature of this
attack raises new questions

for me about the origins
of this entity,

vincent surprises us
with something that changes

the course of our investigation.

Because of the marks

could it be something summoned

of the property owners here,

we did find this in the area.

he starts to act very strange.

knowing aaron is very fearful
of things like this,

which is extremely out
of character of billy.

exactly got into him,

and after looking for him

we find him.

This unforeseen event
has caused us to reevaluate

the course of our investigation.

I feel completely different
not holding that bag.

he volunteers to go with aaron

and take readings of areas
that are in close proximity

to where he discarded
this ritual bag.

We want to see if we can
document any scientific evidence

to support the strong
mysterious energy felt by billy

in that bag in addition
to what exactly

is being contained
within this ancient land

and after a while, I just

While in pursuit of an entity
known as the gray man,

billy was suddenly affected...

I shift my focus toward

the historic and spiritual
aspects of this land.

that are outside
or have to do with the land.

being ancient

native american land,
what were they so in tune with?

Mother nature.

If we just stop
and calibrate ourselves,

we can get some answers
about what's going on

in this interdimensional life

that's existing here
in these woods.

So we took a ton of photos,

but we got one photo
that looked really interesting.

What do you notice
about that photo?

That's pretty much
where I put the bag.

It's probably 20 feet from here.

That's weird. Really weird.

So you've got these three white
anomalies all around you.

You have a trinity of anomalies
around you...

...Right after
you were being affected.

That is evidence.

While the photo is unique,
we debunk the white marks

as not being any type
of light streaks from the sun.

And while we can't say for sure

that something wasn't wrong
with the film,

none of these white marks

appeared in any of
the other photos.

It's also strange that when
we connect the three marks

together it creates a triangle
with billy in the center,

which in ritual terms signals
the mocking of the trinity.

Again, we can not conclude

that this is
a paranormal manifestation,

but we can say that it's one
of our strangest pieces

of photographic evidence
ever capture on polaroid film.

and try to see if we can explore
the history of this forest.

that broke out over the area.

there would've been fracases

between the trappers and
the native americans as well.

Many of the native american
groups believed

that if you mutilated
an enemy after they were dead

you would cripple them
in the afterlife.

And so there were some stories
of some

pretty horrific mutilations.

So who knows what could've
happened along the river.

Tell me a little bit
about the ute.

The utes were pretty
run-of-the-mill,

as far as some of
their traditions and so forth.

They had both men and women
that would be shamen...

Or shamen...

They were responsible for

the spiritual wellbeing
of the tribe,

and of course your stories of
people running afoul of a shaman

and being cursed and whatnot.

They would curse you?

They could? ...Absolutely.

An act of spiritual
vengeance by the ute

may have literally
been unearthed as retribution

for a recent scarring
of this land.

Back in 2011, they had a flood
along here,

and the landowners were then
told that they needed

to clean things up and fix
the levees along the river.

What we're looking at right now,

is this what they were
forced to make?

Essentially, they had to...

Because the river is on
the other side of this, right?

So did they have to disturb
all of this land to create this?

Yes.

So man has come in

and has literally interrupted...

And we don't know
what got dug up,

but there's been reports
of activity, more activity,

since this has been dug up.

And there's places back
in the back that,

many people that are involved
with the haunt

won't go back there
alone at night.

So do you think that it's
possible that haunted hollow

was once a very sacred site?

It's very possible.

If the shaman, and if the utes,

were to see what had
been done along here

they probably
would be horrified.

If their spirits linger
on a very protected, sacred site

and then man comes in
and does this,

do you think that the spirit
of the shaman

could curse the forest
for doing this?

I think that that's
very possible.

And could their retribution
be igniting an elemental figure,

an elemental entity,
to show itself

and to display its anger
from this destruction?

native american grounds

that people are telling us
were sacred,

and they were just disturbed.

the sacred grounds

of a gray creature

that causes people

and dangerous forest.

not just this gray creature.

something affect his ear.

My whole hearing just went out

Could there be some form
of electromagnetic fields

affecting people's inner ears
upon entering the forest?

When we talked to the caretaker,
he said that this thing,

this entity, is attracted
to loud noises.

It's getting scarier.

It actually is, yeah.

Because it's like right now
we're starting to kind of leave

the attraction part and get more
just in the deep woods

where it's just a trail.

I just felt a very strong, just,

opposition right here,

of a gray man,

and through this haunted

As we head towards the
thermal anomaly it vanishes,

leading us to conclude
that it wasn't anything

explainable or man-made.

So we reached the spot
where we were detecting

a little heat signature
within the trees here.

And this is the area
that it should've been,

and I'm not picking up
anything at all.

I don't know if maybe it was
an animal or...

As we move on, aaron and billy
enter into a strange building

when all of a sudden
this occurs.

I want to know where that heat
signature came from.

as we enter this structure

I'm suddenly disturbed

As I'm walking towards
billy and aaron,

I'm aiming the thermal camera
at them when I hear

and feel something
brush up on me from behind.

In this moment, I spin
the thermal camera around

and capture
this unexplained heat anomaly.

And as I'm holding this
very heavy camera

that is housed in a large,
metal, box enclosure,

my right hand has to grip
a handle from underneath,

making this heat anomaly
that appears

on the right side of the screen

unable to be debunked
as being my hand.

Is this the same heat anomaly

that we were capturing moments
earlier in this same area?

What was that, dude?

I'm terrified right now.

and then I heard

yet another heat signature that
is moving through the woods.

but considering

As jay heads inside
the tunnels, he hears something,

and it captures a very
compelling light anomaly.

back where I just was.

Saw some kind of light anomaly

we all hear something terrifying

the gray man.

in this area

before moving on deeper down
the trail,

when all of a sudden,
aaron gets spooked.

running through the bushes.

big running through the woods.

And I could see a light went on,

if it was our game cam
maybe going off on something?

that we're in a forest

so it could be animals.

We haven't seen any animals,

but we've definitely
felt some things.

We've heard some
pig snarl sounds,

had some weird feelings, nothing
extremely major quite yet

but definitely some signs that
there's something paranormal

going on around here, I think.

we heard that pig snarl,

we capture two incredible evps.

After analyzing these
two evps captured

only seconds from each other,

they do sound very childlike,
which is extremely eerie.

he receives a huge spike
of electromagnetic energy,

and then this happens.

and then I just
kept hearing, like,

running through the woods,
like, all around me.

It sounded like
it was circling me.

I really don't think
it was you guys,

but I just wanted to call
just to make sure.

Nope, we're at base camp.

kind of near that pile of trees?

Jay now returns to base
and shows us something

he captured on the uv camera.

So two things:

One, this was right at the

I got something moving.

What was that light back there?

What was that? See that?

One, I don't know what that is.

Yeah. But watch.

Whoa.

That's like what we were
capturing, those lights.

- Let me see.
- Yeah, let me see right there.

Whoa. Exactly.

Those are the lights.

You captured four of them,
remember?

Yeah.

Yeah, this is a set of two,
and they move.

Yeah, this is the same
exact thing I captured.

So I'm just going to document
this on my phone camera,

just in case something happens
to his memory card.

Oh. When you go to the next
photo, now, it's one.

Now the upper one is there.

The bottom one is gone.

The upper one is smaller.

When we analyze the photos,

jay captures these two
unexplained lights

between two large trees.

In the next photo,
one of the lights disappears.

These lights,
unlike the other ones

that billy and I were capturing
that we more or less debunked,

jay was pointing
his uv camera back inside

towards the center
of the forest into an area

that's only about 20 feet
from him

where he could easily tell

that there was no light
contamination.

So these are 100 percent
unexplained.

This was a good investigation.

Definitely.

I didn't personally see
the gray man with my own eyes.

I don't think any of us saw
the gray man with our own eyes.

No.

I don't believe I captured it
on camera at any time.

However, we got
some unusual emfs.

We got some good voices.

We got some good visual lights.

We still have trap cams.

We still have trap cams
that we have to go through,

but we don't know
if we captured anything on that.

So all in all, this forest,

yes, there is an old
haunted attraction here,

but we weren't focused on that.

We were focused on the land,
the 12, 13 acres of ancient land

of the native americans,
the utes, right on the river.

And while man came...

And you can still see
the tractors out there...

Had to literally dig
into this sacred land

and build a huge levee
because of a flood.

I think that piercing into
this land sparked something,

something aggressive,

and I think even though
we didn't see the gray man,

from what we felt
and what we captured on camera,

we still got things
to go through.

I believe in the eyewitnesses
that we interviewed,

that they did see something
that affected them

because of what we felt
and what we captured.

So this was an incredible
investigation.

I really, really liked it,
and I would love to come back.

The forest that encompasses
haunted hollow

and the sacred land
which this property rests upon

seems to contain
a force of energy

that is affecting people
in disturbing and various ways,

whether it be the manifestation
of the gray man

or the dark oppressive
energy here.

Our experience proves there
is something sinister

that's lingering
and waiting to strike at anyone

who is willing to enter
these woods.
