collapsed and died
after leaving an L.A.

used to gamble here
in the very same building,
and the violent mobster
mentality has remained intact.

can tap into any kind of
electromagnetic waves,

connection scientifically
to how our dimensions

being affected
by something very dark here,
causing them to spiral downward.

The Viper Room is a very dark,
black club, physically.
It's just real mysterious.
There's something about it.
It's like you're unsure
of the energy of it.

of entering into it.
When you get inside here,
there's darkness
that's all around you --
no windows, no sunlight.
It's a really good habitat
for spirits, for energies,
for doorways, for portals.
It kind of feels as though
it's in the ground.

For the first time,
we get to go back into the hole.

came into contact
with River Phoenix's spirit.

It's Day 2 of our investigation
here at The Viper Room,
and something really
stuck out last night
during our interviews
and our preliminary
investigation,
and that was when
we met with Rita.

She was talking to me
through my cellphone.

If this is real
and Rita is communicating
with a spirit at this level
through a cellphone,
this is something that we need
to dig really deep into,
because right here,
in the very mysterious
and all-black Viper Room,
could be the answers
that we've been looking

intelligent communication
with a spirit
that extends for long,
long periods of time.
So, when we met with Rita,
we immediately started using
the Spirit Box
to see if this lady spirit
would start communicating
with her
in the spot
where she works,
around the infamous
dirt-covered room
in the basement,
where we believe
all the energy's coming from.
Nothing ever came through.

But as soon
as that interview ended,
I sent Billy and Aaron
back into that secret room.
For the first time, we get
to go back into the hole.
This is the spot where
most of the gnarly energy,
they say, come from.
There's a lot of people
that won't go back here,
and they've worked here
for a long time.

And when they got back there,
they started
having communication
with a couple spirits,
and what was coming through --

we respond to
a mysterious knocking sound
coming from the basement.

ZAK: We notice the door that
leads to the secret dirt floor
is cracked open,
and as Billy looks behind it,
he sees something shocking.

those amazing voices
that we just went over...
BILLY: Oh, my God!
There was a hand!

A hand just went like this,
right there in my camera.
ZAK: Billy sees a ghost hand
appear behind the door,
motioning for him
to come closer.
He sees this
with his own eyes,
as his head is turned away
from his camera,
which is filming Aaron
at this exact moment.
Oh, my God!
There was a hand!
ZAK: It's leading us
back into the room
where we captured
the voices --
or you captured the voices,
of River Phoenix,
that we believe
is his voice,
and the female voice.

to protect himself
from the dangerous materials

than he did yesterday,
Billy sets up for an ITC,
or instrumental
transcommunication experiment,
up in the bar area.

Aaron complains
during a solo investigation.

After all of this struggle,
Aaron finally locates
his Spirit Box
and begins trying to communicate
with whatever is down there
with him.

on the Sunset Strip,
Aaron is complaining -- a lot --
about being inside
the mysterious back room.
[ Oscillating static ]
I think all of the spirits
cleared out of here
because of Aaron's
31 complaints.
With that said, Billy is now
ready to begin his experiment,
so I decide to join him
in the bar.
This is
the ITC feedback device.
This little projector
right here
is projecting
an image on the screen.
This camera is capturing
that image and feeding it back,
creating a loop.
We also have
an audio loop.
So, the theory
behind this is,
these little boxes
right here are sensors.
There's two of them.
There's one on this side,
there's one on that side.
And they're constantly
collecting
the environmental data,
the electromagnetic
field energy,
and that's what's creating
those weird colors
and stuff that you
see up there.
These spirits can use
their energy to manipulate
and to send images

a mysterious knocking sound
coming from the basement.

ZAK: We notice the door that
leads to the secret dirt floor
is cracked open,
and as Billy looks behind it,
he sees something shocking.
Yesterday where you

those amazing voices
that we just went over...
BILLY: Oh, my God!

I swear I'm not

A hand just went like this,
right there in my camera.
ZAK: Billy sees a ghost hand
appear behind the door,
motioning for him
to come closer.
He sees this
with his own eyes,
as his head is turned away
from his camera,
which is filming Aaron
at this exact moment.
Oh, my God!
There was a hand!
ZAK: It's leading us
back into the room
where we captured
the voices --
or you captured the voices,
of River Phoenix,
that we believe
is his voice,
and the female voice.
[ Banging ]

from the dangerous materials
and prepares to head
deeper inside the walls
and underneath the building
than he did yesterday,
Billy sets up for an ITC,
or instrumental
transcommunication experiment,
up in the bar area.

ZAK: At this time,

as you will witness a historic
"Ghost Adventures" crew moment
regarding how many times
Aaron complains
during a solo investigation.

After all of this struggle,
Aaron finally locates
his Spirit Box
and begins trying to communicate
with whatever is down there
with him.

ZAK: At The Viper Room
on the Sunset Strip,
Aaron is complaining -- a lot --
about being inside
the mysterious back room.
[ Oscillating static ]
I think all of the spirits
cleared out of here
because of Aaron's
31 complaints.
With that said, Billy is now
ready to begin his experiment,
so I decide to join him
in the bar.
This is
the ITC feedback device.
This little projector
right here
is projecting
an image on the screen.
This camera is capturing
that image and feeding it back,
creating a loop.
We also have
an audio loop.
So, the theory
behind this is,
these little boxes
right here are sensors.
There's two of them.
There's one on this side,
there's one on that side.
And they're constantly
collecting
the environmental data,
the electromagnetic
field energy,
and that's what's creating
those weird colors
and stuff that you
see up there.
These spirits can use
their energy to manipulate
and to send images
through the ITC loop.
Just as I was about to tell you
that the copper wires pick up
the static electricity,
I can feel static electricity

I see what appears to be a face
manifest
on the projection screen.
As we replay this evidence,
we will also insert
a face graphic
over the top
of the actual evidence
so that you know
exactly where to look.
If you watch the face
very closely, it almost appears
as if the mouth opens to scream
right before it disappears.
On top of this,
all of our ITC equipment
suddenly malfunctions right
after this face appears.
