After showing off, Flipper is stolen by some men trying to make a movies involving attacks of alligators. They want Flipper to be the star.

- Flipper, you sure you
know where you're taking me?

Okay Flipper, whatever you want me to see,

it better be good.

Okay Flipper, so somebody put up a net.

The pond's empty.

Hey, what is that?

- Okay, Ben, do it good, hold him.

Good Ben, hold him steady, Ben.

Hold him, baby.

All right.

♫ They call him Flipper, Flipper

♫ Faster than lightning

♫ No one you see

Good Ben, hold him steady, Ben.

♫ Under the sea

- Golly, Flipper-

- Help, help!

- Mr. Tuttle!

- Help me!

- Mr. Tuttle, Ben's in trouble!

- Ben, swim to shore!

- Come on, Flipper.

- Faster, swim, Ben!

- Flipper, Flipper, help him!

Help him, Flipper!

Jump the net.

Good work, Flipper.

- That's the doggondest
thing I've ever seen

in my whole life.

He's sensational.
- He's Flipper.

- Whatever you call him, he's great.

- Hey don't nobody care,
that alligator almost ate me.

- You fell in, you would've
been alligator bait

for sure if it weren't for,
what'd you say his name was?

- Flipper.
- And your name, boy.

- Bud, my father's Ranger Ricks here.

- Flipper, huh?

Glad to have you and your
dolphin visit us, anytime.

- He can do lots more than that.

- Practically human right?

- Yeah, my brother
Sandy says he's as smart

as some people he knows.

Here, watch, Flipper, jump.

Walk on your tail, Flipper.

Flipper, jump on the dock.

Come on, Flipper, jump on the dock.

- He's smarter than Ben
here that's for sure.

Hey your dolphin generally go

around fighting alligators, does he?

- Only when he's attacked and
when he's saving somebody.

- But he does fight 'em right?

I mean if he had to, he
would fight again right?

- If he had to.
- Right.

- But I don't know...

- Here's what I'm gettin' at, see.

I'm taking some films about alligators,

fighting ya know, to sell
us some movie people.

But now that I've seen Flipper,

if he's lucky, you'll
get him in a film too.

How do you like that, Bud,
we'll make a big movie star

out of Flipper.

- No.

- Hello, what do you mean no?

- Well look it, I don't
want Flipper tangled up

with any alligators.

Besides, they're protected here.

Come on, Flipper.

- You see that Ben,
that dolphin even comes

when you call him.

Hey man, you gonna attempt to

Quiet, I'm thinking, something
you might try sometime

for a change.

I want you to follow the
boy and see where he lives.

Now Ben, now Ben.

- The boy knows what we're doing.

What if he tells the ranger we're here.

That's his dad, you know.

. Huh?

Well this here's big country, Tom.

It's easy to move, what's not so easy

is to get something as
exciting as that dolphin

fighting a gator on movie film.

Why if we had a fight like that on film,

that really would be exciting.

Let's get this gear and get out of here.

- Dad, Dad, i just followed Flipper

down Shrimp Road and there
was this guy down there

named Mr. Tuttle and he's
taking pictures of alligators

fighting and he wanted
Flipper to fight one.

- You sure his name was Tuttle?

- Oh I'm positive, Dad.

- And he wanted Flipper to fight a gator?

- That's right.

- Tuttle's been trapping
alligators around here for years

and usually without a license.

I've never been able to get him before

but maybe this time.

Bud, can you show me where he is?

- Yeah, Flipper and I
can show you the way, Dad.

- We'll get these plugs back in

and then we'll see about Mr. Tuttle.

- The ranger's coming

and the way that dolphin
hangs around his park,

it ain't gonna be easy to kidnap him.

- I got an idea, but right
now we gotta get of here.

You and Tom put the gator in the trailer.

We can pick up another one later.

Did you hear me?

I said get that gator,
we gotta get out of here.

Let's go!

- Is this the place, Bud?

- Yeah, this is the place, Dad.

- Nobody's here.
- I know.

That's where the net was.

They even took the gator.

- Are you sure this is the place?

- I'm positive, Dad, look
at all the footprints.

And that dock I told you
about, look it's there.

This is the place, right, Flipper?

- Well Tuttle's gone all right.

The only trouble is if he's
using an area like this,

he could be anyone of
100 inlets around here.

- We gotta look for him though, Dad.

- But that could take days.

- Sandy's right, besides
it's getting late.

- Listen, Dad, what will
happen to the other animals

in the mean time?

- We'll start looking
for him tomorrow, Bud.

First thing in the morning
we get the plane, okay?

- Quiet, quiet.
- I am being quiet,

you be quiet.

Especially when we're
trying to get that dolphin.

- How are we gonna get it?

- Do I have to do everything around here?

You remember where the boy got the dolphin

to jump up on the dock?

Well we get him to jump into the boat.

Flipper.

Flipper.

- See.

- What's the boy's name?

- Bud.
- Bud.

Flipper, it's about Bud.

- There's Flipper now.

- Shh, quiet, when he comes
up into the boat, grab him.

Here, Flipper, Bud's here.

Come on, Flipper.

Okay here he comes.

All right, let's get out of here.

- Flipper, Flipper.

- Sandy, you got that chart?
- Yeah Dad.

- All right, boys, I
think the best thing to do

is start where we last saw Tuttle.

- Dad, Flipper's gone.

I'll bet that Tuttle
took him, I know he did.

- Well if he did, then
that's just one more reason

to get to Tuttle and fast.

- We'd increase our
chances if we split up.

- That's a good idea, you take the launch.

- I'll take the skiff, Dad.

- Okay, now listen to
me, if you see Tuttle,

I don't want you to do a
thing but get back here,

you understand me?

- All right, Dad.
- Okay see you later.

- Flipper.

- Are you ready with your underwater gear?

- Yeah, I guess so.

- All right, now here's what we do.

I stay here on the shore
and photograph the surface,

you'll be in the shark cage underwater

and photographing from below.

Two half starved gators
against one dolphin.

It'll be a great fight
but we're only gonna get

one chance to film it.

Get out to your cage.

- Two gators against Flipper?

I gotta get him out of here.

- All right, Tom, get ready
to let those gators out.

- Flipper, as soon as I lower the net,

I want you to swim out as fast as you can!

- The ranger's kid, he's back.

- I'll grab the kid, let those gators in.

- Flipper, I can't get it loose.

- You're gonna stay here
with me for safe keeping.

- Flipper!

- Sit down.

You ready with those gators, Tom?

- In a minute.

- Are you ready Ben?

- Just a minute, when
I get the camera ready.

- Any sign of Tuttle?
- Nothing Dad.

- Where's Bud?

- I don't know, I haven't
seen him since we split up.

- I got a feeling we shouldn't
have let him go alone.

Hop aboard, we'll take a
look for him from the air.

- I've got to deliver these pictures, boy,

you're gonna sit right
here until I get finished.

Yes, sir, it's gonna

be one mighty interesting fight.

Hungry gators really put on a good show.

These two are powerful hungry.

Ready.

- Listen Mr. Tuttle.

Mr. Tuttle, you can't
let Flipper fight them

he doesn't stand a chance.

They'll get him tired and
they'll corner him and then...

- You just better hope that dolphin's

as good as you bragged he was.

Okay Ben, go on down.

- Well I don't understand it at all.

- Couldn't have gone
very far in the skiff.

- I know that's what's got me worried.

I should've spotted him by now.

- You think Tuttle's got him?

- I don't know.

We're going down to take a closer look.

Keep your eyes open.

- Flipper, Flipper, jump the net!

- I said to
keep quiet and I mean it.

- This has to be the area,

Bud couldn't have gone
any farther in the skiff.

- How much gas do we have left?

- We've got about 15 more
minutes of flying time

and that's all.

- Dad, there's a light,
somebody's trying to signal us.

It might be Bud.

- It might be Tuttle too.

Figure out some place to land this bird

that he can't see me.

I wanna get that guy red handed.

- What a fight.

Hey kid, look, your
dolphin's doing all right.

Wait a minute, they got him cornered now.

- He's sure to lose, he
can't fight both of them.

- I told you not to bug me.

- Listen if you won't stop 'em, I will.

- Stop him, Tom!

Stop, are you crazy?

Come back here before
those gators see you!

- Flipper, jump the net.

- Get out of the water!

- Flipper!

Flipper!

- Let's go! That gator's after us now.

- Flipper, he“?!

- I guess Mr. Tuttle and
Ben won't be trapping

anymore wild animals for awhile, huh, Dad?

- Not where they're going Sandy.

- What about the gators?

- Well we found the gators in a swamp

and that's where they belong.

- One thing.

Why didn't your dolphin
leave when he had the chance?

- Well I guess Flipper knew if he left,

well the gators would
come straight for us.

- So he stayed and fought.
- That's right.

But not for your camera.

- You're right, he stayed for us.

- All right, let's get this
gear on the trailer, come on.
