- Did Landis give you his position? Over.

- No, we lost him
just before the explosion.

We'd appreciate it if you'd
have a look around the park,

Porter, we're sending out a copter, over.

- Roger, I'll go out
right now, WD9598 out.

- Can I go with you, Dad?

- Yeah, Sandy, come on
along, I may need your help.

- Hi, Flipper.

Hey, Dad.

Look at Flipper, he must know something.

- Maybe he knows where Landis is.

Let's go, Flipper!

- Dad, there's where the
explosion must have been.

- Yeah and there's Landis!
- I wonder what happened.

- I don't know but I
hope we're not too late.

Get the ladder!

He's alive!

Sandy, come here, give me a hand!

Let's get him up.

Well, it looks like the bends, all right.

He doesn't seem to be hurt any place else.

We gotta get him to a hospital

and a decompression chamber fast.

- It's okay, Flipper, everything
has been taken care of.

- Pull the ladder up, Sandy!

- Hey there, Flipper.

Is anything the matter?

Dad and Sandy?

Come on, Flipper, you show me the trouble.

You're right, Flipper, there
must have been an explosion.

No wonder why you're so excited.

We better not go any closer.

let's go find Dad.

Dad!

Dad!

Dad!

Dad,Sandy!

Sandy!

- Are you always this nervous
or is just because I'm here?

- Who's nervous?

It's these sails.

- You're not at all like
the boys in Philadelphia.

You're so, uh, outdoorsy.

- Oh, that's from living
a good clean life.

- Have you, uh, kissed a girl?

- Are you kidding?

- Hey, Sandy!

Sandy, is Dad with you?
- Obviously not.

- Well, do you know where he is?

There's been an explosion,
we'd better find him.

- An explosion?

- Mm-hm.

- Big news, Dad and I were
out there about an hour ago.

We had to save Jed Landis.

He got the bends while he was diving,

his boat caught on fire and blew up.

We had some time gettin'
him to a hospital.

- Well, I guess if Dad
knows, it's all right then.

- Oh, Bud, this is Anne Dobson.

We were just gettin' ready to go sailing.

- Hello.
- Hi.

- Don't you have something you have to do?

- No, nothin'.

- Bud.

- Oh, well why didn't you say something?

He's only being polite
because you're here.

Well, I'll see you later.

Flipper!

Flipper!

- Jed.

What're you doing out the hospital?

You shouldn't be up.

- I gotta get out there
and look for Timmy.

- Timmy?
- dog! he's...

He's just a pup.

I put him in an old fish
tub before the explosion and

set him afloat, he
might still be out there.

- Are you sure you're strong enough?

- Yeah, I'm fine.

- Okay, let's go.

- Timmy!

Timmy!

- Well I don't see a
tub out here anywhere.

- I don't either.

Do you think he drowned?

- Well, there's not much chance of us

getting ashore from here.

- Poor little fella.

I tried so hard to save him.

- Now look, Jed, don't blame yourself.

There's nothing you
could have done about it.

- Let me see, loop,
rabbit goes up the hole,

and around the tree.

Flipper, what do you want?

Will you please don't bother me?

I'm trying to make a bowline.

Be quiet for a few minutes.

In the hole.

Listen, Flipper, if it's
about that explosion,

Dad knows all about it.

All right I'll come, but it
better be important, understand?

Well, Flipper, now that I'm here,

what'd you bring me here for?

It's only an island!

Now listen Flipper, I told you
I'd come if it was important.

It's not only not important,
there's nothin' here!

Will you get, get off!

(Sigh

Hello there.

Who are you?

Well it's a good thing we
found this fella, Flipper.

What I can't figure out
is, how did he get here,

and how did you know he was here?

Oh and by the way, Flipper,
I'm sorry I didn't believe you.

Will you forgive me?

Thanks.

Well, I guess we'd better
get this fella home.

Wherever that may be.

Come on, Flipper.

- Jed, the insurance
company representative said

he'd meet you in town
in a couple of hours.

- Thanks, Porter, I'll be there.

Look, I'm very grateful to you and Sandy

for what you did for me today.

- Well, we're glad to have been of help.

Are you sure you're all right, Jed?

- Yeah, I'm uh, I'm fine.

Well, it's just that I
can't help blaming myself

for what happened to Timmy.

- Now, come on, I told you
you couldn't help that.

- I know but I shouldn't
have been diving alone.

If I hadn't had done that,

it probably wouldn't have happened.

- If it's any help at all, Mr.
Landis, we know how you feel.

- It's a lot of help, Sandy, thanks.

I guess I'm just lucky to be alive myself.

Thanks again, Porter.

- Hey, Dad!

Look what I found on Fletcher's Island.

A puppy!

- Timmy!

Timmy!

Timmy!

Hey!

How are ya, baby?

- Good job, Bud.

- I don't know how this
happened, but here he is.

- Well I think there's one
that knows how it happened.
