THEME SONG: When he
hears that fire alarm,

Sam is always cool and calm.

[SIREN BLARING]

If you're stuck,
give him a shout.

He'll be there to help you out.

So move aside, make
way for Fireman Sam,

'cause he's gonna save the day.

Fireman Sam, 'cause
he's brave to the core.

Sam is the hero next door.

Hurry up, Norman.

I'm trying, Mandy.

What's the rush anyway?

I really want
to see the turtle.

But why?

Turtles are my
favourite animal.

I've got a stuffed
turtle in my bedroom.

I've got a turtle
cushion on my bed,

and I've got a great big
turtle picture on my wall.

So what's so special
about this one?

It's a real turtle.

And it's swimming in the
seas around Pontypandy.

Oh, that does
sound quite good.

Ben's going to
put a camera on it,

so he can see
everything it does.

Now, hurry up.

This might be the only chance we
ever get to see a real turtle.

But no need to be so grumpy.

Right.

Have we got everything?

Camera, monitor, transmitter.

Check, check, and check.

SAM: Lovely.

We're just missing Mandy.

It's not like her to be late.

Well, I can give her
a minute or two longer.

TOM (ON RADIO):
Wallaby 1 to Neptune.

Hi, Tom.

What's the news on our turtle?

She's on the move again, Sam.

Paddling straight out to
sea from Pontypandy Island.

Thanks, Tom.

Well, it looks like we can't
wait for Mandy any longer.

Come on then.

Let's go and find this turtle.

Are you sure you want to
go out there today, sir?

The sea is rather choppy.

Don't you worry about me.

Sailed since I was a young boy.

Got my sea legs mackerel fishing
off Dogger Bank, you know.

All right then.

Off we go.

The boat!

Oh.

Ah, looks like
we've missed it.

Maybe we can get an ice
cream from Bronwyn's instead.

No, Norman.

I have to see that turtle.

This is my one chance, and I'm
not missing it because of you.

Well, I don't see how
you're going to see it.

Fireman Sam and Neptune
are all the way out there.

And we're stuck
here in Pontypandy.

[GROANS]

I will see that
turtle, Norman Price,

and you're going to help me.

Oh, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no.

There is no way I'm
getting on that boat.

The sea is way too wavy,
and we'll get soaking wet.

And anyway, you can't make me.

Can you see it yet, Mandy?

Not yet, Norman.

Wait a minute.

What's that?

[GASPS] I think I can see her.

That way.

[GRUNTS]

A leatherback turtle.

She's amazing.

Are you sure you don't
want to have a look, sir?

Oh, no, Sam.

I need to keep steering
straight ahead.

Tummy's feeling a
bit dicky, you know.

We did warn you that the
sea might be a bit choppy

today, sir.

Oh, it won't be that, Sam.

I'm quite the
seafarer, you know.

Must be Cridlington's
chicken pasta I ate earlier.

Of course, sir.

Right.

We just need to attach the
camera, and we're done.

Stick it on the shell
carefully, and we're done.

I'll check we're
getting the signal.

Lovely view this, you know.

Quite happy not
looking at the turtle.

[GROANS]

Yes.

All working brilliantly.

Great, Sam.

We just have to release
her, and that's it.

Then, can we go home?

Yes, sir.

We can.

[GRUNTS] My arms
are killing me.

It was around here somewhere.

There!

Ugh.

Oh.

That wasn't a turtle, Mandy.

That was just some seaweed.

Now, can we give up?

No, Norman.

If it wasn't for you, we
would have been on Neptune

and spotted it already.

We've got to keep looking.

Um.

The sea is starting
to look very rough.

I really think we
should go back now.

Oh, actually, which
is the way back?

There.

I can see it.

Start rowing, Norman.

I can't wait to see this.

Oh.

It's good to be
on dry land again.

Chicken pasta feeling
better now, sir?

Oh, yes, Sam.

Much better.

Right.

I just need to find
the right frequency,

and we should be able to see
everything the turtle is doing.

That's brilliant, Ben.

Oh dear.

That turtle does bob
about a bit, doesn't she?

Chicken pasta back, sir?

I think I'll just go
out for some fresh air.

[GRUNTING] I can't row
for much longer, Mandy.

My arms feel like they're
going to fall off.

Be quiet, Norman.

That wasn't the turtle either.

It was just a log.

I want you to go home.

The waves are getting huge.

Oh, all right, Norman.

I suppose I'll never
see a real turtle.

So which way do we go?

Um.

That way?

I said that way, Norman.

OK.

[GRUNTS] I'm trying,
Mandy, but the waves

are taking me this way.

But that's taking us towards--

[GASPS]

BOTH: The cliffs!

[GRUNTS] Ahh!

Oh no!

Now what are we going to do?

Looks like she's
going along the coast.

Yes.

She certainly doesn't mind
the sea being a bit rough.

Wait a minute.

What's that?

It's a rowing boat.

That's Norman and Mandy, and
they're heading for the cliffs.

But where?

There's miles of
cliffs along the coast.

Look.

They're near the lighthouse.

Norman and Mandy
are in a rowing boat

and heading towards the
cliffs near the lighthouse.

TOM (ON RADIO): Got
it and on my way.

[ALARM BEEPING]

[SIREN BLARING]

We're going to be
smashed to smithereens!

[HELICOPTER WHIRRING]

I can't get any closer.

Those waves will send
us into the cliffs too.

Just hold her steady.

Ready, Tom?

TOM (ON RADIO): Roger that, Sam.

Up and away.

[HEROIC MUSIC]

Help!

Help!

Got you.

Now back to Neptune, Tom.

What about me?

Don't worry, Norman.

I'll be back.

Help!

Ah.

Got you.

[BOAT SMASHING]

Don't worry, Norman.

You're safe now.

Well, I'm glad you're safe,
but you two should never have

gone out to sea on your own.

I'm sorry, Sam.

It was my fault. I really
wanted to see the turtle.

And now I won't.

Don't worry, Mandy.

You can come back and see what
it's doing any time you like.

Look.

It's right out to sea now.

Wow.

Aw.

I don't think I can look
after what just happened.

We were in that boat bobbing
up and down, left and right,

backwards and forwards,
swirling around

in that horrible rough sea.

Oh dear.

Cridlington's chicken pasta
seems to be playing up again.

Excuse me.
