Apple, sugar, butter, syrup, cinnamon,
nutmeg and lolly sticks.

Oh Sam!

You’re making your famous toffee apples!

Yes Dilys.

Actually, I promised Elvis
that I would show him

how to make them.

Oooh, I’d love some
of your toffee apples Sam!

And me!

I’d love a toffee apple!

(PHONE RINGS)
Hello...Yes...It’s Trevor.

He’s heard you’re making toffee apples

and he wants some!

Ooo and I’ll have some too!

Wow. Yes. Alright.

I think I have enough ingredients.

Mum!

We’ve had an idea...

You know how it’s getting
really dark really early?

Well, we want to have a spooky party.

Tonight!

Can we use the cafe,
please, please, please?

Alright!

And I’m sure Uncle Sam will
make you some toffee apples.

Brilliant!

Thanks Uncle Sam!

I’d better get party planning!

Hey wait! I’m party planning too!

I made a list of party ideas.

So far, I’ve got monster dancing -

James, I planned this party ages ago.

I’m going to lay out spooky
nibbles on the tables and

hang spooky bunting EVERYWHERE.

There will be games like
’Pin the Tail on the Spooky Cat’.

AND THEN I’m going to make a ghost

to sit in the middle of the party.

It’s called a centerpiece!

We were supposed to be
planning this party together.

OK, if you want something to do.

You can make a bat decoration!

Is that it?

Mmmmm... I’ll show her!

Dad!

Have you got anything to make
THE BIGGEST bat

Pontypandy has ever seen?

Um, let me see.

Tarpaulin, a fishing net and rods.

Will they do?

Perfect!

See, Elvis, they’re easy to make.

Ooo, Sam, they look delicious.

Ooooo, yummy scrummy!

Sorry, sir, but these
are for the spooky party.

We’re making more later,
you can have one then.

I think they said ’no’ Sir.

I’ll take that. Sir!

Dooow!

WHAT. IS. THAT?

Oh hello Sarah, I didn’t see
you behind my ENORMOUS bat.

So, what do you think?

I THINK it’s taking up too much space.

MY ghost is supposed
to be the centerpiece!

(pop)

Now look what your bat’s
done! Take it down!

Now James!

Ready for your spooky party guests?

Yaaaaaaay!!!!

Enjoy the party!

Cool bat!

WOW!
-A-MAZ-ING!

It’s really big!

Thanks, I made it!

So who’s ready for some
of MY monster dancing?

Yeeeeah!

(dance music)

What’s this rubbish?

It’s getting in the way of my moves!

That is NOT rubbish!

Grrrr!

I know it’s here somewhere...

There!

It’s time to create the ultimate party

centerpiece.

Sarah’s Spook-tacular House of Scariness!

Ha, ha, ha!

Thanks for taking
the toffee apples, Penny.

I’ll get it.

Elvis!

Remember, don’t cook the
toffee for too long or it

will get too hard to use.

It needs to be runny!

OK Sam, runny it is!

Oooo tasty toffee apples,
I can’t wait to make you!

Aha! Freeze!

Not yet sir!

The toffee has to set on the apples!

Grrr! This waiting is interminable!

So, how’s it going Elvis?

Um, I think we might need some new toffee.

And a new pan.

Whoa whoa whoa!

Wow Sarah!

That’s amazing!

What’s amazing? Whoooah.

Thanks, I made it!

So who’s ready to play one of MY games?

Yeeeeah!

Anything but - eurgh
- make a Mummy!

So this game is called "Pin the
tail on the spooky cat".

Can anyone else smell burning?

(FIRE ALARM)

My house!

My bat!

This is so nice and peaceful...

The cafe’s on fire!

Stop! We have to call Fireman Sam.

Beep beep beep! Scanning area.

Kitchen is clear.

Station Officer Steele
has finally given up on the

toffee apples.

Yeah. He’s just there, Elvis.

Oh.

(BEEPING)

There is a fire at a
children’s party at the

Wholefish Cafe.

(ALARM)

There’s a fire at
a children’s party at the

Wholefish Cafe!

(SIREN)

The fire’s getting worse!

Everyone! Lie down on the floor!

Get as low as you can!

Come on, let’s do as Penny says.

(SIREN)

The door is blocked and the children

are trapped in the back.

Elvis, you take the hose
and I’ll take the crowbar.

Firefighter Sam. Air 100%.

Ready Elvis?

Ready Sam.

Keep back everyone!

One at a time.

Take my hand and stay low.

That’s it, Mandy, come to me.

Where are Sarah and James?

(COUGHING)

All the children are out, Sir.

But keep everyone back
until we have this fire

under control.

So much for some quiet time.

Sorry, Uncle Sam.

We were so busy trying to
be better than each other

That we put everyone in danger.

Just remember that candles
must be kept at a safe

distance away from other things.

And ALWAYS keep an eye on them.

They can start a fire really easily.

But I’ve got something to cheer you up.

Toffee apples!

Yeeeeah!

One for you.

And you.

And you.

And -

Yes you can have one, Sir.
You’ve waited long enough!

Oh yummy yummy yummy!
