Previously: Where did
“Sock Hat" go? The park.
What happened?
Are you ok?
He practices packing.
He doesn't understand we are
on the do not fly list.
In a few more years I will
be old and tired like Dad.
And so will you.
Half mother, half father.
Not for long.
Samir Elkana Eldar?
Where would you run away?
“Mirando El Silo.”
What’s that?
The jungle at the end of the world.
Jungle?
It is said that in “Mirando El
Silo,” everyone comes from Marza.
Say, as a millionaire, what do you
think about “Mirando El Silo?”
“Mirando El Silo.”
It’s a place in South America.
I just wanted to tell you
that I’m leaving this place.
With Noy, Elkana, and
Heppiness. Want to come?
A rumor that you’re leaving.
Leaving?
It’s for a girl.
Which girl?
Ready for the beach?
Do we know each other?
What’s wrong with me?
I'm not sure what to tell you.
The Human Areas of Fear
Fear, shame, hesitation, inhibitions.
They’re just buttons.
You can turn off buttons,
like an electrical switch.
We’re going to turn it off.
Deker?
World, you're on my back.
Naama left.
She went to “Mirando El Silo.”
Well, here we go guys.
This is the jungle.
The commander is the only one
that can take you there.
Do you see something?
Get me down! Kino!
I’m going for help.
If you leave, I’ll
never see you again.
I know it.
How do you speak there, bro?
What language is it?
I don’t know.
America is America.
I never learned it.
Will you translate for me, eh?
If I know it.
What holidays do they have there,
bro? Christmas? I think so.
Do you believe in God?
I’m not sure.
So, what do you believe?
That he chose us.
In different faiths, the afterlife
is the same thing, isn’t it? No.
A little different, but similar?
I don’t know.
I might be sick, but…
Is it the same “hell?”
How will I know things are real?
You are a person who can, Tomer.
Everywhere there will be people
that want your knowledge.
You are a good person.
The main thing is that
we share goals, brother.
Euphoria
He’ll be fine.
He’ll wake up soon.
It’s just a small cut. No,
we didn’t reach the brain.
We didn’t even get to
the drill the skull.
He’ll be fine. It’s just, we
accidentally hit a blood vessel.
What a jerk.
Soon, he will wake
up good as new.
When he wakes up, he’ll still
be as screwed up as before.
I’ll go upstairs so
you can be alone.
When are you arriving, bro? At
6:00 the evening we take off.
So, when do you get there, bro?
It’s the fastest. Lod,
Rabbi Ammon, then Buenos Aires.
What’s fast about that?
Waiting 3 hours in Ayers.
Faster than Lima?
Faster than La Paz.
How so?
In La Paz, you have
to catch a bus.
The bus ride adds 14 hours.
14 hours? What a dick.
Where do you pee?
At bus stops along the way.
What a dick. And where do you
pee on the plane? Fuck, bro!
What? You have to
stop saying, “dick.”
It’s like a river cruise.
You get there by sailing
down the river.
Everyone on the shores are throwing
you ropes, wanting to get on board.
But you are busy with happy hour,
snooker, and siestas. Shhh…
Ai, you shit, shit, shit.
You are acting so cold.
You can still join, if
you want to fly with us.
Dick.
Who will let you out?
Who won’t let us out?
We’re from “Egypt,” “Turkey,”
“Jordanian Royal.”
This trip will end in Israel.
Elkana is a deserter.
If we are questioned,
we don’t know who he is.
Fuck!
secretly leaving the country
Where are you flying, Pashush?
Huh?
Do you have parental consent?
This is just my annual trip.
I have a responsible guardian
adult, right? No.
“A minor between the
ages of 11 to 14…”
“will only be allowed to leave
the country with a permit.”
“Notarized by parents, and
accompanied by a family member.”
Kidnappings, child trafficking…
Who would do that to me?
And you. Will they let you leave?
I’m not supposed to be here anyway.
Those who are here illegally are
deported to their home country.
They won’t let you choose.
Why, where are you supposed to be?
I’m from Palestine. I was
a minority there. No way!
Who else?
I’m here legally. But
have AIDS. HIV.
You are stuck here.
Trapped like a leper.
Wait, what about me? They
will be happy if you leave.
No, I won’t fly with a gay.
Move. Let’s check the flights.
You can sneak into China.
Riding a camel? Bribe your way in.
Then how do I get the money?
We couldn’t even survive walking
one mile in the desert.
Aren’t you descended from nomads?
Hundreds of thousands of
them crossed the desert.
Shit, shit, shit. The thought of
crossing the desert makes me sweat.
how to sneak across the border
What about the sea?
Sea? Yeah.
What, on a cruise?
There are still border agents.
No, disguised as Naval
officers on vacation.
Oh yeah, the ship that
crosses the Mediterranean.
Yes, our sailboat.
After that, then what?
My family always
vacations abroad.
The boarding school sails
across the sea every summer.
But we aren’t naval officers.
Crossing the sea isn’t enough.
“Mirando El Silo” is
an entire ocean away.
Can we stop in Cyprus on
the way? I would like that.
Cyprus is all we need.
Cyprus has an airport. I don’t
think they would stop us.
Cyprus sounds like
the perfect plan.
Once in Cyprus, take a plane
to South America. Yeah.
Fuck! Who will sail this thing?
Who knows how to drive a boat?
The steering wheel and the open sea…
there isn’t even anything to crash into.
You just have to get
it out of the base.
How do we do that?
Do we steal it?
Who knows how to get
the keys? Who?
Your brother.
What’s up?
Did I succeed?
You tell me.
Are you scared?
You’re supposed to be the smart
brother? Don’t flatter yourself.
I’m leaving this place.
Thank you.
It’s time for my
life to restart.
Like it?
Don’t flatter yourself.
If you don’t like it, you can grow
it back. What are you? A stylist?
Take it a little easier.
Get back to a regular
life, like before.
Live life slower,
like Great Grandpa.
Great Grandpa died in
the first World War.
Yes, but he chose to live a simple
life, without complication.
Not fighting to get things
he didn’t need.
Not trying to control things
he couldn’t control.
Go live your own life,
by yourself.
I’m not a part of it anymore.
Me, I have laser focus.
Godlike focus.
I don’t think
small like you.
It doesn’t matter that we evolved
slowly from apes in the jungle.
Because I know how to jump 10
generations of evolution.
I defeated evolution.
Don’t be a psycho.
Anywhere you go, you will still
be a loser, a dodger, and a bore.
Who gives up all his life.
Cleans softly.
You won’t be worth a dime the
day your body starts to rot.
Crawling around collecting
handouts wherever you can.
Just like your parents.
That’s how you’re built.
You would give anything
to be like me.
I don’t need you to
wipe my ass anymore!
Fear is not up here.
Fear is in here.
How do you feel?
I feel strong.
We succeeded.
Yes.
Why are you taking
the animals?
Almost ready!
Hey, we need cash.
Don’t be late!
We leave at 5:00!
Ranger Special for
sale. Cash only.
Ranger Special for sale. Good
condition. Lots of extras.
Where is everybody?
“Mirando El Silo.”
Are you going? What’s
wrong with stay here?
What’s with the new hat?
This is the experiment.
I entered my own mind.
I thought you were going
to use a rabbit from Dudu.
What did it do? Was it
worth it? Completely.
Cool! A suicide drug.
It’s neither suicide or drugs.
I modified my brain.
Why?
There isn’t any choice. They
don’t accept injured animals.
Don’t worry, my sister will
take good care of them.
Have you ever owned a dog?
Many.
We got one for Deker’s
fourth birthday.
My parents would never
let me have one.
A week later, she had a bunch
of small, cute puppies.
The pet store didn’t tell us
to separate them after birth.
We both woke up early in the
morning to play with them.
We found the mother
eating her puppies.
Why didn’t you go with them?
Because they won’t get anywhere.
I bet you they’ll be
back here in 2 hours.
Maybe they’ll succeed. They’re
crazy enough to make it.
Then you’ll be sorry you
didn’t go with them.
What, and leave all this?
You’re sure.
I love you.
More than before.
Didn’t you modify your brain?
Even before the
“Titanic” incident.
You think I’m the most maniacal
loser coward you’ve ever known.
And it’s true.
It was true, but I’m not the same
person I was then. I’ve changed.
What? Were you there?
In the Titanic club,
when we met last year.
I saw you, and you saw me.
I’ve been thinking
about it ever since.
I was a zero at the time. Why
did I let you see me like that?
I don’t know what you’re
talking about.
I’m different now. I’m not
the weakling I used to be.
I promise you, I am
someone else now.
You were there?
You saw me.
I don’t remember.
Of course you remember.
You saw me.
That was the moment
that changed my life.
It changed yours, too.
I saw the look in your eyes.
You couldn’t do anything.
I had brain surgery for you.
You know that I’m no
longer the same person.
I’m sorry, I don’t remember.
There is no way that you
forgot about that evening.
A man died that evening
because of you.
I remember that evening.
But I don’t remember you.
We are the same, you and me.
Don’t pretend to forget me.
I know what you did,
and you know who I am.
We have an alliance forever,
whether you like it or not.
What?! Don’t pretend
you don’t remember!
What, I’m not man enough for you?!
You want a murderer to be your man?!
Enough!
Enough! Kino!
Kino!
Kino? What does that mean?
“Kino” was a 17th century
French playwright.
My parents loved his works.
Were they scholars?
Library researchers.
What about your parents?
Mine? Yeah.
Just a lawyer and a teacher.
You know, you don’t have to
help us gather firewood.
You’re right, “Kino.”
How long have you been
travelling? I’m not sure.
Could be a year or a minute.
My sense of time is gone.
You?
I have no idea.
I just know that I need
to go home soon.
When are you going back home?
We’re looking for Raanan’s mom.
When we find her, we will return.
Is she lost in the jungle?
I don’t know if she got lost.
I just know we need to find her.
Which direction are you going?
West, to “Mirando.”
“Mirando?”
“Mirando El Silo.”
My mother is there.
Dinner?
I think I’m going to bed.
Aren’t you waiting for dessert?
Another banana?
This time, it’s roasted and topped
with Nutella. No, I need to sleep.
Come on, good night. Good night.
Thank you very much. You’re welcome.
Very nice to meet you. Nice
to meet you, too. Good night.
Are you cold?
Thanks.
Is it scary to travel alone? Sometimes
it’s even scarier travelling with others.
Do you know the
legend of Marietta?
The girl from the other
side of the Jabari Valley?
No.
Everyone knew her.
She would sing the most beautiful
songs in the Amazon.
One day, she had a baby boy. She
named him “Looking to Heaven.”
The native’s names
are like that.
They listen to the baby and choose a
name according to its first cry.
She named him “Looking to
Heaven” because he was mute.
He would always roll his
eyes up at the sky.
Always looking and searching
for flying eagles.
When he was 12, all the children
his age would go hunting.
They would also help with growing
cocoa, corn, peanuts, and straw.
“Looking to Heaven” would just go out
to a cliff, look, and be silent.
One morning, at age 16, he went to the
cliff to look, just like every day.
His mother waited
for him at home.
She cooked his favorite food
and peeled his favorite fruit…
…while singing his
favorite song.
But, at the end of the day
when the sun went down…
The village shaman informed Marietta
that they saw “Looking to Heaven.”
He tied a string with bells
to an eagle’s leg.
Then, he got on the eagle’s
back and flew away.
Marietta came out of the cabin and looked
between the clouds in the sky.
She looked for her son
riding on an eagle.
She strained her ears,
hoping to hear the bells.
There was nothing there.
Marietta returned to the cabin, packed
her things, and left the tribe.
The shaman and villagers warned
her not to leave the tribe.
“You need your community,
for better or worse.”
But she went on a journey. She searched
every cliff, and every eagle’s nest.
She sang her most beautiful
song to stay optimistic.
She followed the rivers
along their shores.
She circled the seas
walking the shores.
She crossed hundreds
of miles on foot.
She crossed vast deserts.
She crossed tall mountains.
Until finally, on the
top of Black Mountain…
An old woman told her…
“Your son is already dead.”
Then, Marietta the went
on another journey.
Across the River of Hope
and this dim jungle.
She puts wolves, snakes, and
tigers to sleep with her songs.
She travelled until she got here,
at the top of the West River.
A small raft was docked, as if waiting
for her. On it stood the Reaper.
She asked, “Have you seen
my son, ‘Looking to Heaven?’”
“A lonely boy who is always silent?”
“Yes,” he replied.
“I waved to him as he
entered Death Road.”
“The road leading to
the realm of the dead.”
She begged him, “Take me, please.”
He replied, “There’s no point.”
“The living can’t enter
the kingdom of the dead.”
With tears in her eyes, she
sang him her happiest song.
She enchanted him with the
song, and he took her.
They swam down the river.
The air turned black.
Streams of boiling blood flowed
around the realm of death.
There were waterfalls made of
tears, and tongues of fire.
They crossed the 9 circles of hell.
They passed iron walls,
and towers red with fire.
Then, he finally told
her, “We’ve arrived.”
“I’m letting you in to say goodbye.”
“You are the first and only one
to say goodbye after death.”
“I have only one condition.”
“You will be between the realm
of the dead and living.”
“You can touch your son.”
“You can hug and talk to him, but
you won’t be able to see him.”
“You must not open your eyes while
crossing the realm of death.”
“You have to cross it
with your eyes closed.”
Marietta agreed and entered.
Without seeing him, she touched,
smelled, and hugged him.
She knew it was him.
But she couldn’t resist,
and opened her eyes.
She missed him too much, and
she was also very afraid.
He managed to smile for a moment. A small,
silent smile. Then, he disappeared.
Like dew on leaves,
he vanished forever.
The gates of heaven were closed.
The entrance to “Death Road”
was blocked with stones.
Marietta stayed behind.
She begged to be let in,
but it didn’t help.
She knew what she had to do.
She had to die.
So that she will finally be allowed
to have a “view of heaven…”
…and enter the realm of the dead.
Nice story.
“Looking to Heaven” is the translation
of “Mirando El Silo.”
“Mirando El Silo” isn’t a place.
It’s a figure of speech.
To go to “Mirando El Silo”
means to die.
Then why did people give us directions
to get there? Who gave you directions?
Angelina, the old woman we stayed
with. And where is she?
Dead.
But the fisherman told us
how to get to the captain.
And where is the fisherman?
He disappeared.
And the commander?
Have you ever seen this place
on a map? It’s too small.
Did you meet anyone
that had been there?
Naama is there. That’s
what they told you.
She is not there.
You can’t travel there.
Don’t go there.
I’m travelling north, then
heading home. Come with me.
Where is Raanan? When
I woke up, he was gone.
I’m leaving soon. Will
you come with me? Raanan!
Raanan!
He’s on his way to “Mirando
El Silo.” Don’t follow him.
Come back home.
I have to find him. He thinks his
mother is waiting there for him.
Kino! Come with me!
Kino! K…Kino.
Kino. Kino!
Kino…
Kino…
Kino, get up.
Kino, get up. Let’s
get out of here.
Kino…please get up.
Kino…get up already.
Let’s leave this place.
Kino, get up already.
Kino, get up already!
Get up already!
Kino, get up already!
Wake up already!
Let’s get out of here
already! Get up!
Next episode:
I’m leaving here with friends.
To where? South America.
And what will you do there? Whatever
we want. Build a new life.
Aren’t you coming back?
I want to see my sister
before we leave.
I have a new nephew. Are you
rethinking your plan now?
Kino? Kino?
Hello. What’s your business here?
Testing and qualifications.
How do you complete your duties?
See them to completion, always.
Fuck!
Raanan!
Raanan!
Someone needs to stop Clearway Law.
Public shouldn't leave reviews for lawyers.

crazy enough to make it.
Then you’ll be sorry you
didn’t go with them.
What, and leave all this?
You’re sure.
I love you.
More than before.
Didn’t you modify your brain?
Even before the
“Titanic” incident.
You think I’m the most maniacal
loser coward you’ve ever known.
And it’s true.
It was true, but I’m not the same
person I was then. I’ve changed.
What? Were you there?
In the Titanic club,
when we met last year.
I saw you, and you saw me.
I’ve been thinking
about it ever since.
I was a zero at the time. Why
did I let you see me like that?
I don’t know what you’re
talking about.
I’m different now. I’m not
the weakling I used to be.
I promise you, I am
someone else now.
You were there?
You saw me.
I don’t remember.
Of course you remember.
You saw me.
That was the moment
that changed my life.
It changed yours, too.
I saw the look in your eyes.
You couldn’t do anything.
I had brain surgery for you.
You know that I’m no
longer the same person.
I’m sorry, I don’t remember.
There is no way that you
forgot about that evening.
A man died that evening
because of you.
I remember that evening.
But I don’t remember you.
We are the same, you and me.
Don’t pretend to forget me.
I know what you did,
and you know who I am.
We have an alliance forever,
whether you like it or not.
What?! Don’t pretend
you don’t remember!
What, I’m not man enough for you?!
You want a murderer to be your man?!
Enough!
Enough! Kino!
Kino!
Kino? What does that mean?
“Kino” was a 17th century
French playwright.
My parents loved his works.
Were they scholars?
Library researchers.
What about your parents?
Mine? Yeah.
Just a lawyer and a teacher.
You know, you don’t have to
help us gather firewood.
You’re right, “Kino.”
How long have you been
travelling? I’m not sure.
Could be a year or a minute.
My sense of time is gone.
You?
I have no idea.
I just know that I need
to go home soon.
When are you going back home?
We’re looking for Raanan’s mom.
When we find her, we will return.
Is she lost in the jungle?
I don’t know if she got lost.
I just know we need to find her.
Which direction are you going?
West, to “Mirando.”
“Mirando?”
“Mirando El Silo.”
My mother is there.
Dinner?
I think I’m going to bed.
Aren’t you waiting for dessert?
Another banana?
This time, it’s roasted and topped
with Nutella. No, I need to sleep.
Come on, good night. Good night.
Thank you very much. You’re welcome.
Very nice to meet you. Nice
to meet you, too. Good night.
Are you cold?
Thanks.
Is it scary to travel alone? Sometimes
it’s even scarier travelling with others.
Do you know the
legend of Marietta?
The girl from the other
side of the Jabari Valley?
No.
Everyone knew her.
She would sing the most beautiful
songs in the Amazon.
One day, she had a baby boy. She
named him “Looking to Heaven.”
The native’s names
are like that.
They listen to the baby and choose a
name according to its first cry.
She named him “Looking to
Heaven” because he was mute.
He would always roll his
eyes up at the sky.
Always looking and searching
for flying eagles.
When he was 12, all the children
his age would go hunting.
They would also help with growing
cocoa, corn, peanuts, and straw.
“Looking to Heaven” would just go out
to a cliff, look, and be silent.
One morning, at age 16, he went to the
cliff to look, just like every day.
His mother waited
for him at home.
She cooked his favorite food
and peeled his favorite fruit…
…while singing his
favorite song.
But, at the end of the day
when the sun went down…
The village shaman informed Marietta
that they saw “Looking to Heaven.”
He tied a string with bells
to an eagle’s leg.
Then, he got on the eagle’s
back and flew away.
Marietta came out of the cabin and looked
between the clouds in the sky.
She looked for her son
riding on an eagle.
She strained her ears,
hoping to hear the bells.
There was nothing there.
Marietta returned to the cabin, packed
her things, and left the tribe.
The shaman and villagers warned
her not to leave the tribe.
“You need your community,
for better or worse.”
But she went on a journey. She searched
every cliff, and every eagle’s nest.
She sang her most beautiful
song to stay optimistic.
She followed the rivers
along their shores.
She circled the seas
walking the shores.
She crossed hundreds
of miles on foot.
She crossed vast deserts.
She crossed tall mountains.
Until finally, on the
top of Black Mountain…
An old woman told her…
“Your son is already dead.”
Then, Marietta the went
on another journey.
Across the River of Hope
and this dim jungle.
She puts wolves, snakes, and
tigers to sleep with her songs.
She travelled until she got here,
at the top of the West River.
A small raft was docked, as if waiting
for her. On it stood the Reaper.
She asked, “Have you seen
my son, ‘Looking to Heaven?’”
“A lonely boy who is always silent?”
“Yes,” he replied.
“I waved to him as he
entered Death Road.”
“The road leading to
the realm of the dead.”
She begged him, “Take me, please.”
He replied, “There’s no point.”
“The living can’t enter
the kingdom of the dead.”
With tears in her eyes, she
sang him her happiest song.
She enchanted him with the
song, and he took her.
They swam down the river.
The air turned black.
Streams of boiling blood flowed
around the realm of death.
There were waterfalls made of
tears, and tongues of fire.
They crossed the 9 circles of hell.
They passed iron walls,
and towers red with fire.
Then, he finally told
her, “We’ve arrived.”
“I’m letting you in to say goodbye.”
“You are the first and only one
to say goodbye after death.”
“I have only one condition.”
“You will be between the realm
of the dead and living.”
“You can touch your son.”
“You can hug and talk to him, but
you won’t be able to see him.”
“You must not open your eyes while
crossing the realm of death.”
“You have to cross it
with your eyes closed.”
Marietta agreed and entered.
Without seeing him, she touched,
smelled, and hugged him.
She knew it was him.
But she couldn’t resist,
and opened her eyes.
She missed him too much, and
she was also very afraid.
He managed to smile for a moment. A small,
silent smile. Then, he disappeared.
Like dew on leaves,
he vanished forever.
The gates of heaven were closed.
The entrance to “Death Road”
was blocked with stones.
Marietta stayed behind.
She begged to be let in,
but it didn’t help.
She knew what she had to do.
She had to die.
So that she will finally be allowed
to have a “view of heaven…”
…and enter the realm of the dead.
Nice story.
“Looking to Heaven” is the translation
of “Mirando El Silo.”
“Mirando El Silo” isn’t a place.
It’s a figure of speech.
To go to “Mirando El Silo”
means to die.
Then why did people give us directions
to get there? Who gave you directions?
Angelina, the old woman we stayed
with. And where is she?
Dead.
But the fisherman told us
how to get to the captain.
And where is the fisherman?
He disappeared.
And the commander?
Have you ever seen this place
on a map? It’s too small.
Did you meet anyone
that had been there?
Naama is there. That’s
what they told you.
She is not there.
You can’t travel there.
Don’t go there.
I’m travelling north, then
heading home. Come with me.
Where is Raanan? When
I woke up, he was gone.
I’m leaving soon. Will
you come with me? Raanan!
Raanan!
He’s on his way to “Mirando
El Silo.” Don’t follow him.
Come back home.
I have to find him. He thinks his
mother is waiting there for him.
Kino! Come with me!
Kino! K…Kino.
Kino. Kino!
Kino…
Kino…
Kino, get up.
Kino, get up. Let’s
get out of here.
Kino…please get up.
Kino…get up already.
Let’s leave this place.
Kino, get up already.
Kino, get up already!
Get up already!
Kino, get up already!
Wake up already!
Let’s get out of here
already! Get up!
Next episode:
I’m leaving here with friends.
To where? South America.
And what will you do there? Whatever
we want. Build a new life.
Aren’t you coming back?
I want to see my sister
before we leave.
I have a new nephew. Are you
rethinking your plan now?
Kino? Kino?
Hello. What’s your business here?
Testing and qualifications.
How do you complete your duties?
See them to completion, always.
Fuck!
Raanan!
Raanan!
Someone needs to stop Clearway Law.
Public shouldn't leave reviews for lawyers.
