I have to find him. He's here somewhere,
he's waiting for me.

Your impulses are overwhelming
your reason.

He is not your destiny.

Can you look me in the eyes,

- and tell me that you don't desire me?
- I'll resist you with my last breath.

Time for commitment miss Palmer.

Time to cut to the chest.

Stop!

- Street!
- Just back off!

I can't let you do this.

His hybrid Atavan DNA
has begun to spontaneously regenerate.

Soon he's gonna be completely healed,
and I will not be able to sedate him.

I can't shoot through the screen!

...

Give me your hand!

In the twenty-first century,

an alien species known as the Taelons
came to Earth with a promise of peace.

They lied...

Their true agenda was to dominate us.

After years of struggle
the Taelons have perished

living more aggressive beings in their wake,

the Atavus.

Season 5 Episode 8

- Excuse me.
- Renée!

Hey, what's up?

See ya!

What is your problem?

Check this out.
Came in about ten minutes ago.

Oh my God,
it's happening again.

What?
Street!

So, you want to tell me what's going on?

We've got another
high particle locator beacon.

Another hive?

They're could be hundreds,

thousand of them
napping in stasis all over the planet.

If we've seen the beacon
so is Sandoval.

Not yet, no he hasn't.

The mothership is currently over Mongolia,

it's got to orbit an hour under the planet
to get a fix on it.

We've got to get to it before he resurrects
anymore of them, how much time do we got?

About forty minutes.

Can you locate the source?

I'm trying.

- I'm here.
- Where?

England,

it's coming out of southern England.

The shuttle's cloaked and on stand-by.

There's the locator beacon, kill it.
Kill it!

Too late. Somebody else is
already locked onto the frequency.

I guess who that could be.

Well, let's do what we got to do and
leave them our condolences.

Look!

This sword must be sixteenth century.

Looks like the Sir Galahad here
did some major damage before they got to him.

Stand back.

Jeez!

That is ugly.

I suppose he must have broken the hull,

and must have disrupted the stasis mode
which refer alien here with...

no more nice to feed on

no way to stay alive.

So, why not just climb out where the dead knight
came in and start noshing in the locals.

Missing something.

Sandoval's coming.

We don't have time for tweeny question.

We've got to blow this place to hell.

It's freezing in here isn't it?

Never mind the heat wave.

Street come on.

And the other stasis chamber was located
a mile down the mouth of a volcano,

only above three thousand degrees
more than in this place.

They should must have picked up
on that beacon by now.

Lets go!

That's got to be it.

The Atavus must be heat markers.

Their pods were built
to withstand freezing temperatures.

I bet the bloodsuckers can't handle the cold.

What you saying they died of exposure?

Well, we entered through a sinkhole,
which is just a funnel for cold air and water.

That must have screwed up
the climat control in here.

Renée, we've got a live one.

There's an Atavus in that stasis chamber.

Sandoval is here.

Must just pack this place with C4 and blow.

We'll never know, will we?

- Know what?
- If you're theory's right,

about the cold.

- Renée, I could give a...
- Look,

we know that swords,
bullets, laser weapons won't kill them,

maybe,

freezing will.

We get to portal to the shuttle,
taking that alien out with us.

They're here!

Where are we going?

Some place they'll never find us.

...

- How many on staff here?
- One, me.

- And you are?
- Pax, Paxton.

Station maintenance manager,
sometime novelist, and,

who, may ask, is...
frightening me?

Renée Palmer,

C.O. Doors International,
we lease this station to study global warming...

- and now we're back.
- Oh yes, global warming, serious stuff.

But that project ended a year ago
before you retire from Doors.

We have full digital sat link up here.
I'd like to keep up on... con events.

Well, here is a news flash Mr. Paxton.

I' m a new tenant here,

and you will be well paid to help us,
and keep your mouth shut.

- Agreed?
- Yeah.

Good!

Now I'm gonna need two heavy jackets.

And a snow mobile with a tow trailer.

Now!

Before my partner
out there freezes to death.

- So which way?
- On your right.

- How much further?
- Farther,

further is only used
when the subject's theoretical.

farther one geographical.

Answer the question.

Lab's straight through these doors.

Centrifuge tank hasn't been used
in a while, though...

- machinery might be a little rusty.
- Thanks. We'll take it from here.

Just bring the lab annexe to full power,
would you?

Oh, and uh...

a canister of liquid nitrogen and
a portable pop generator will be helpful too.

OK, but may I ask what
kind of research you ladies are conducting?

- No!
- No!

Who did this?

Where is Gren?

The mapping crystal?

We continue our search, Howlyn,

but I think it's clear to see that
Renée Palmer beat us to the punch.

She

makes an art of tormenting me,
doesn't she?

Gren must still be in possession
of the mapping crystal.

He would not surrender it willingly.

No.

He has sworn to protect it with his life.

Find her!

Find Gren!

Does this work?

Yeah it will.

The tank was already rigged to bring in outside air,
I just amp the things up a bit for our purposes.

And I figure this place will come handy.

It's very you.

Your own fortress of solitude.

So, what are you working on now?

Well, like you said,

bullets, swords and laser weapon
won't kill them but,

maybe,

freeze dry firearm will keep them at bay.

Who are you calling?

Deputy director Patrichio, please.

Renée Palmer, it's urgent.

Miss Palmer.

What can I do for you?

It's what I can do for you.

I've got a live Atavus on ice here.

All the evidence, you or the Pentagon, need
to launch an all out offensive.

Here's what I want.

A bio-tech team assembled
for verification and autopsy.

- A bureau agent of my choosing for security,
- Renée I'm getting a strange bio-reading here.

So don't waste my time.

I want a team in place at the Macmillan Antarctica
portal station, I'll direct transport form there.

Look, I'm the acting Director now,
I have to be kept fully in...

Miss Palmer?

Miss Palmer, what's happening?

Are you still there?

Miss Palmer,
I'm demand to know what's happening.

Come on, come on!

OK!

Oh, God!

No, I wasn't quite ready for this.

Forget that.
Just amp the den air flow, go!

Right.

Keep that chamber just above freezing
That should slow him down.

OK, OK, that's enough.
Don't kill him...

yet.

Patrichio are you still with me?

Take a good long look.

Still questioning my credibility?

I'll expect a team at the MacMillan station
within two hours.

Have mercy!

I beg of you.

I took this job,
so I can ride in peace and quiet.

I wasn't hungry for company,
alien or otherwise.

Just hurry up.

See again you insist on ending in a preposition.
A simple hurry would suffice.

Back-up fuel cells are in place.
Now...

if I were you,

I'd call in the cavalry.

Already on route.

God!

he's...

stunning!

You don't think there's any chance
he's a vegetarian, do you?

Do you think you can park
your hormones for a moment, and

cover things here while I go set up
that ID portal link?

Street?

Yes of course.

The trick is to keep your eyes on him...

and off him.

Some trick...

Have you connected with
Patrichio's people yet?

E.T. phone home.

You're witnessing history here, Pax. Stay in the course
and I will give you exclusive letter and rights.

- Dr. Sanders.
- Yes, Renée.

- Are you at the D.C station?
- Yes.

Good.

Alright, I'm inputting
your destination coordinates now.

Pax, what's happening?

The lab must be on circuit overload.

Bring the power back up, now!

Street!

I'm over here.

Oh, my God!

He's here.

He can't get far.

Right.

It's not like he's gonna...

run outside, and build a snowman.

Get your hands off her, now!

I've not seek to harm her.

Step away!

Please.

My name is Gren.

- I don't understand your hostility.
- And we don't understand yours,

now, get back to your damn cage.

Why?

So you can study me?

Dissect me?

Dispose of me?

Why do you load me so?

Why do you fear me?

What have I done to you?

You know damn well what.

The soldier.

The one who attacked me in the stasis chamber,

I swear,

I had no choice but to defend myself.

I'm giving you two more seconds.

Humans are...

savages still.

Look who's talking.

Your the ones going around
cleaving people and...

and living of our life force.

I feed only on mammals,

don't you?

What I remember from...

from before the asteroids forced us into stasis
that was my species

aided and protected yours.

We taught you how to hunt and gather,

how to build shelters,

and heal yourselves.

What do you trying to tell us,
That your not like the others?

- What others?
- Howlyn and Juda.

The Royals.

Are they alive?

What?
What have they done?

Your attention please,

North Star Antarctic Research lab announces the
arrival of portal flight 666 from Washington D.C.

On my way.

Crank up the S.E, I'll be right back.

Dr. Sanders,
thanks for gathering the troops.

My pleasure Renée.

Always up for one of your alien adventures.

Well, keep your guard up, these Atavus are brutal,
nothing like the Taelons.

Kerri,

I take it you survive Patrichio's briefing.

Our acting Director's not happy,
which of course still aids me to no end.

Don't worry I'm not wearing a wire.

I appreciate that.

I'll be out in the open soon enough
once we put it live on Satnews.

To show what you got Mr Vickers here
will set an audio and video link.

- Mr. Paxton?
- Yeah, follow me.

Street?

What an odd name... Street.

How did you find me?

We got a fix on your locator beacon and,

made our way to Stonehenge.

Stonehenge?

Your hive I guess.

You were trying to contact Howlyn and Juda.

Please tell me what they've done to you.

They're killers.

No.

- They feed on us.
- No

Kidnap us.

- Turn us into hybrid slaves.
- I don't believe it.

Believe it.

Look, Street,

whatever atrocities
they may have committed against your kind,

I can assure you that they're not
characteristic of my brethren.

We're intergalactic explorers,

star travellers.

We're not savages.

No,

no, no, no, I don't want to get this.

We pulled you out of stasis by accident, when we were
trying to save the last of the Taelons and Jaridians,

your descendants.

We have regretted it ever since.

You allowed other species to enter
into our stasis pods.

Do you realize what you've done?

We are incredibly fragile in our stasis pods,

volatile.

- Any tampering will...
- What are you saying?

I'm saying that
if they are monsters among us...

you created them.

I'm not a monster.

Can you not see that?

I don't know.

Just... wait here.

He could be telling truth, you know.

Maybe,

it's not in his nature or the Atavus nature
to feed on us or go psycho, but once

- we screw with the bio-stability.
- Listen to yourself.

That creature in there is sucking you in.
That's what they do.

By nature they're so pheromonly,
amp the ***, OK, trust me, I know.

- That's not it.
- Bull.

- Fine. If you don't want to hear what I have to say...
- Street,

that Taelon Ra'jel called them what they are:

sentient parasites,
murderers ancestral cast-off.

A scourge, hellbent on our annihilation.
End of story.

When has a Taelon ever told the truth?

Well fine, you know,
let's just agree to disagree.

In the meantime,

we're gonna do a live video-feed on Satnews,
expose these aliens to the masses.

Then we're gonna freeze dry
that alien vampire,

do a full ***
and after that do an autopsy.

So don't go getting to attach to it, alright?

Right now I don't know who's sicker,

the Atavus or you.

Hey, you don't like it, you can always pack up
your gear, and portal back to the lair.

So shall thou feed on Death,
that feeds on men,

And death, once dead,

there's no more dying then.

It's dark down there. Careful.

We're having some power problems.

I think we can contain the alien
in our tank for scanning.

- What was that?
- Is there another door in here?

Fire door.

Look at! Nine o' clock!

So what do wait me?

Prey tell.

End of this course, the dissection.

Let me to inform you, I have no desire
to be drawn on cord.

Absolutely primordial.

Are you getting this?

I'm getting it.

So, why don't you get back in here
we'll discuss it, huh?

No, I don't think so.

It's becoming clear to me,

somewhere along your evolutionary path,

human cruelty won over compassion.

And you dare talk to us about compassion.

I've seen what your species is all about,
up close and personal.

Namely ****, slaughter and enslavement.

Which you brought upon yourselves by
contaminating our royal stasis chambers.

Ah, you're so full of it.

I'm rather than admit your transgression,

accept your responsibility.

You choose to vilify me.

Why?

What chance do Howlyn and Juda

and their mad little band
have against all of you? All of you?

This was our planet.

Now it's yours.

We came in peace.

We can live in peace.

- You have to tell it to Howlyn.
- I will.

You set it up?

No, I don't think so.

Don't shoot...

He's going to roof.

He's as good as dead out there.
Everybody out. Seal the access.

Where?

A research facility inside
the Antarctic Circle.

We received the location signal
from our source.

I want Gren alive
and our mapping crystal intact.

And Miss Palmer?

She too,

if possible.

The rest...

We're clear on my hand.
Nothing alien inside the facility's greenhouse.

*** system of gravity too, right?

He'd think.
God knows they love the heat.

And I probably got blown off
the roof in this blizzard.

I'm gonna check the storage level.
You'd better isolate the team.

Right.

Street.

Street.

My God. Oh my God.

Tell me.

Has ageing blinded you as it has the others?

Look at me.

Tell me I deserve to die.

I don't know.

What have I done?

Why have I to wake up
from an endless sleep?

I want to live.

How's that a crime against humanity?

But the others are murderers.

Maybe it's not all their fault,
if what you saying is true.

Oh God,
I don't know what I'm saying.

Street.

A human killed my beloved,

my mate.

The mummy?

You know I would never,

ever hurt you.

I'm not...
can I tell her it,

any Atavus' hellbent
on destroying your kind.

So I beg of you.

Take me away from here, now.

I promise,

I'll take whatever measures necessary,

to end the madness sounds bigger.

A kind, gentle Atavus.

Right.

Renée, someone's activated the portal.

Who?

I don't know.
Everyone's accounted for, except your friend.

Street!

Street!

She scrambled the frequency.
We can't track her.

Maybe they changed their mind.

You, cover me!

Leave the corridor!

Go, go!

Good work.

Yes.

Well?

Gren, your guardian,

fled the scene just before we got here
with Juliet Street as his hostage

Apparently.

She scrambled their portal destination code,
they could be anywhere.

And our mapping crystal?

I've scanned the entire facility
and haven't been able to locate it.

Then Gren has it.
He knows his duty.

He'll use that young human female
to contact me.

Is Miss Palmer in your custody?

No.
She refuses to surrender.

Then bury her.

Sanders!

Renée!

Always an adventure.

Behind you, dear!

Godspeed.

Agent Zenzo.

Agent Zenzo.

Zenzo, do you read?

We're booking out.

Bravo team is in the portal.

Exit the facility immediately!

We're detonating!

This sounds,

primitively intoxicating.

It's called techno.

Techno.

What's the matter?

Why are you trembling so?

I'm nervous.

I'm totally terrified.
I don't know if this is such a good idea.

Will help you if I tell you
that I'm totally terrify too?

Yeah,

it helps.

I think we've taken a pretty big leap
of faith here, haven't we Street?

My name is Juliet.

Where are you going?

Come on, come on, where are you?

Street,

what happened? Are you OK?

Everything's fine Renée. Honestly,
everything's cool. I'm fine.

- Gren and I got a plan to neutralize...
- Where are you?

At the Flat Planet.
Just listen to me OK?

I won't allow you to destroy an innocent being

just because mutants like Howlyn
and Juda are running around.

Innocent?

That beast you're with, fed on Pax,

burned his heart to a crisp.

What?

And then he somehow
manage to signal the mothership,

because Sandoval and his storm troop
was portaled in and wiped out my entire team.

No.

Are you hearing me?

I had to cut trough three feet of ice to get
to the shuttle, and I'm here to tell you:

you have fallen for the wrong guy.

Now, you can keep playing the fool and die,

or start playing it smart,
and you just might survive your date from hell.

Miss me?

Street!

You left. Where did you go?

I have needs not like your own.

- As my leaving offended you?
- Oh no, no, no.

You forgive me.

It's my turn now.

Girls have needs too, you know.

I'll escort you.

It's OK.

I insist.

I think it's time we take our leave.

- Gren what's going on?
- Come on.

Street!

Out of the way!

- What are we doing?
- We're leaving, now.

Where?

- Stonehenge.
- Why?

Just do as I tell you.

Take out to portal.

Street!

Where did you go Street?

At least you decide to play it smart.

You know,

I really believed that you were different.

And you're right.

I'm vastly superior to any human.

No, you're just a vastly superior liar.

Do you believe that you're betrayed?

Defiled?

Look at her!

Look.

Look at my beloved today,

and see what you humans have done here.

You see?

Your sufferings are mere penance.

We were mates,

lovers and guardians.

We took an oath

to our royal brethren,
to protect the mapping crystal.

An oath which I will not break.

- Go find it!
- No, I'm not going anywhere.

Don't go protest too much.

You'll find it or you'll die trying.

I venture down there, myself,

but we Atavus developed an adversion
to cold confined spaces.

Alright.
Just tell me what it looks like.

It's a luminous green crystal.

It's about the size
of your sweet pathetic heart.

Got it!

At least I have a heart.

Bravo! Give.

Finders keepers.

If you're still in love with him,
you're going right back down that well with him.

I'm over it.

Men.

You've been hammering on that thing all night.

Yeah.

Well, if I can decypher
the light data embedded in the crystal

maybe we can find the rest of the hives.
Pull them all away.

That would be good.

I'm such an idiot.

Yeah you are.

But,

we're allowed to fall for the wrong guy
at least once in our lives, huh?

Thanks Renée.
