Dino Dana!

[roar]

[Dana]
Dinosaurs lived on earth

for over 165 million years,

then something
crazy happened.

A giant meteorite
the size of a mountain

smashed into the planet.

Bang.
It was bad.

Real bad.

No dinosaur survived
which is super sad

but what if an ancient
group of people

were there to help them?

Would the dinos
maybe have had a chance?

There's only one
way to find out.

We must play
the Game of Bones.

We must play
the Game of Bones.

Dana,
you're blocking the TV.

[crowd on TV cheers]

[sighs]

Where's Dana going?

Weren't we going to play
this game she made?

Looks like she spent
a lot of time on it.

Hey, nugget.

I'm sorry we got
a bit distracted.

We're all ready to play
your board game now.

It's okay,
you don't have to.

Um yes, we do.

It's family game night

and you've made
an awesome looking game.

Do you really want to play?

Of course.
Absolutely.

Right, Saara?

What? I mean, yeah.

Yeah, let's go play.

Dinosaurs lived on earth
for over 165 million-

We heard this
part already.

Fine, I'll skip
to the end.

We must play the...

Game of Bones!

I'll be the dino master

which means
I'll control the game

from inside my dino lair.

To win the game, your dinosaur
must outlast the other players.

Sounds easy enough.

How do we choose
our dinosaurs?

From the nest of life.

Hah, love it.

Which one did I get?

You have chosen well,
Queen Mom.

For you hath chosen

tyrant lizard
king himself,

Tyrannosaurus Rex.

No way.
She got the best dino.

Yeah, I guess
the game's over.

[Dana]
Not so fast.

Being the biggest
doesn't necessarily mean

you're the best.

But it certainly
doesn't hurt.

Saara, it's your turn.

[♪♪♪]

I got a crocodile.

Not just any crocodile,
knight Saara.

For you hath chosen
the largest,

most terrible
crocodile of all time.

The Deinosuchus.

[roars]

[Dad]
That's just great.

Mom got a T-Rex
and Saara got a giant crocodile.

There's no way I'll win.

Luck of the egg, Dad.
Sorry.

[giggles]

Come on.
Big dino, big dino, big dino.

Woo!

Looks terrifying.

What is it?

Terrifying indeed

and wise choice,
jester Dad.

Really?

I couldn't be anything
cooler than this?

Terrifying indeed
and wise choice Sir Dad.

Better, thank you.

For you hath chosen
a cunning raptor.

Raptor, yes.

The Microraptor.

What? Micro?

[squawks]

I want to choose again.

Come on, hun.
Dana said size doesn't matter.

Says the person
with the T-Rex.

Each of your dinos
has three special abilities

which you can use
by playing these cards.

For the T-Rex,
your special abilities

include a loud roar...

[roars]

A powerful bite...

And immense size.

[growls]

Thank you.

And for the Deinosuchus,

your special
abilities include

the ability to swim,

a strong bite
and aggressive charging.

[growls]

And for the microraptor,

your special abilities

include the ability
to glide...

[squawks]

Small size...

[squawks]

And cuteness.

[squawks]

Kidding, and quick speed.

He is cute though,
adorable, actually.

Now, I must warn you.

Be careful in choosing
when to play your cards

for you can only
play each card once.

Now, let us begin.

You get to roll the meteorite
dice first, Queen Mom.

Meteorite dice?
Nice touch.

Four.

One, two, three, four.

Huh, what's with
this springy rock?

That springy rock
is a massive earthquake.

When the meteorite
hit the Earth,

it literally
made the ground shake.

[♪♪♪]

[roars]

Fear not,
Tyrannosaurs Rex

for I shall...

Dana!

I'm trying to show you
what an earthquake

would have felt like.

Now, choose
an abilities card, Queen Mom.

Hmm, got it.

Worry not,
Tyrannosaurs Rex...

For I shall use

your immense
size ability.

[Dana]
Now, roll the dice again.

If you get four or higher,
you survive.

Three or under, dead.

Don't be nervous, Hun,

even though it could
all end right now.

[♪♪♪]

[roars]

[roars]

Ha, yes!
[laughs]

Lucky roll.

Knight Saara,
it's your turn.

[Saara]
Six.

One, two, three,

four, five, six.

Hm, a water fall?

When the meteorite
struck the Earth,

scientists believe
it would have caused

a massive wave.

[roars]

[♪♪♪]

Did thou hear that,
thou Deinosuchus?

[roars]

[♪♪♪]

[♪♪♪]

[♪♪♪]

[roars]

Fear not,
for I shall choose

your swimming
ability.

Are you sure
you don't want to use

your charging
or biting card?

Nope, I'm fine
with my choice.

Last chance
to change it.

All good.

Smart choice, Saara.

The Deinosuchus is actually
a prehistoric crocodile

that lived most
of it's life in the water

but will it's swimming
ability be enough

to help it survive?

Now, roll the dice again.

You get four or higher,
you survive.

Three or under...

You lose.

[roars]

[♪♪♪]

[♪♪♪]

Your turn, Daddy-o.

Come on big number...

One.
What?

[laughter]

One.

I'm outside your dino lair
but there's nothing there.

Yet.
A storm is brewing.

Cloud?
What's so scary about a cloud?

This is no regular
cloud, sir Dad.

This is
an acid rain cloud.

When the meteorite
hit the Earth,

it threw up a ton
of chemicals into the air

that rained down
as acid rain.

Anything that
stood in it too long

wouldn't survive.

[♪♪♪]

Ouch, do not fret,
little fellow

for I shall choose your...

For I shall choose your...

I'm going to
choose something.

[squawks]

I choose speed?

Small size?

Gliding,
it's gliding, right?

Only the dice can decide.

Microraptor had
four wings for gliding

but will that be enough
to help it survive?

Remember, four or higher,
you survive.

Three or under...
Game over.

For I shall choose

your gliding!

Ahh!

[squawks]

Guh, ouch,
oh dear, come on.

Let's go.

[squawking]

Come on.

We got it.
Let' go.

[panting]

Yes!

Five.

I kind of like
this little guy.

I'm going to name him Manny.
Manny, the microraptor.

[Mom]
My turn.

[sighs]

Four.

One, two three, four.

[Dana]
Congratulations, Mom.

You passed through

the environmental
disasters area.

Hear that?

And right into
the starvation zone.

What?

After the meteorite hit
a lot of plants died

because of the acid rain

which meant the herbivores
that ate them died

which meant the carnivores
that ate them died

which meant...

There's a lot of
death in this game.

I know.

Dinosaurs that survived
the environmental disasters

had to compete
with each other for food.

So, which dinosaur will mom
be competing against?

She gets to choose from
the nest of challengers.

Wait, I thought that was
called the nest of life.

It's both.
Choose your challenger.

That's not good.

What's not good?

How not good?

[♪♪♪]

Worry not,
Tyrannosaurus Rex

for you are the king
of the dinosaurs.

What creature
could possibly...

[loud roar]

[roars]

Maybe we should worry.

You definitely should.

If the T-Rex was
the king of the dinosaurs,

the Giganotosaurus
would be the emperor.

Well,
I think it's time

that emperor
be dethroned.

I'm going to choose

Your loud roar ability.

[♪♪♪]

[roars]

[louder roar]

I'm never going to hear
the end of this.

[Dad]
You're right.

One down,
one to go.

[Dana] Sorry mom,
but just know that you lost

to one of the largest land
carnivores of all time.

Key word, lost.

Go, Saara.

[Saara]
Four.

One, two,

three, four.

Ha, looks like
it's a lake.

Perfect for
my Deinosuchus.

Except the food you want
is on land

which means you'll have to
get out of the water to get it.

Choose your
challenger.

[♪♪♪]

[♪♪♪]

Three?

[roars]

Be quick, Deinosuchus,

before our other
company arrives.

[squawking]

Oh, too late.

[squawking]

[all squawking]

Okay, okay.
That's super annoying.

Troodon would have
used their squawks

to plan their attacks.

Well, your attacks
can do nothing

against my super
strong bite.

We'll see.

Ka, ka!

Cast your fear aside,
Deinosuchus.

[roars]

For I shall choose
your super strong bite ability.

[roars]

[squawks]

[squawking and roaring]

[roars]

Good job, Deinosuchus.

Six.

Who's squawking now?

Looks like you got a lot
of board to cover, Dad.

Just wanted to give
you a head start.

[sighs]

One. Oh!

[giggles]

One.

Wait, sir Dad.

Look under your rock
for a magical gift.

[♪♪♪]

Plus eight?

You get to move
ahead eight spaces.

[squawks]

[squawks]

[squawks]

[laughter]

Tied.
Nest please.

Oh, but you two have already
met your challenger,

for you two
will face each other.

[♪♪♪]

[Dad]
Knight Saara, halt.

Before we do battle

there's something
I have to tell you.

I am your father.

So?

Just saying
if you want to go easy,

with you and your
massive crocodile.

You can always
forfeit, Dad.

I would rather
Manny die!

[squawks]

I'm just kidding, Manny.

It's just a game.

Yes, it is.

And in the Game of Bones

you either win
or become extinct.

I have one ability left.

Aggressive charging.

Deinosuchus is coming.

I have two cards left,

quick speed,
small size.

You feeling
a little pressure?

You look a little sweaty.

No, this is the perspiration
of a champion.

I have chosen,
dino master.

[Dana]
Highest roll wins the game.

[♪♪♪]

[♪♪♪]

[♪♪♪]

I shall choose your
aggressive charging ability.

I choose your quick speed!

[♪♪♪]

[grunting effort]

[roars]

[squawks]

[♪♪♪]

[♪♪♪]

[squawking]

[squawking]

[laughter]

Quick speed wins the day.

See you later,
Alligator.

[laughs]

Oh, you did it buddy.

Manny, you did
such a good job.

I thought you were going
to die but you didn't.

But look that's you.
You're so cute.

You did so good.
You're so cute.

High five.

Sorry, I can only
high five winners.

[sigh]

[squawks]

Arise, Sir Dad,

for you
and Sir Manny

are the winners
of the Game of Bones.

[squawks]

Thank you,
thank you, thank you.

Dana, what are you doing?

Cleaning up.

But we're not
done playing yet.

You don't think we're
going to let your Dad win?

Best out of three.

Oh, it's on.
And I choose Manny again.

No I want a small
dino this time.

Me too.

Small dinos
did evolve into birds,

so I guess you can say
they're the real winners

of Game of Bones.

I would still say
I'm the winner.

Well, we'll see
as we play the...

[all]
GAME OF BONES!

[laughter]

[♪♪♪]

[♪♪♪]
