For the past few years,
I've been investigating
The paranormal with zak bagans
and the "ghost adventures" crew.

I grew up in a house where
paranormal activity
Terrorized my entire family.
It has gripped my sister,
My childhood best friend,
And me ever since.
So I had an idea,
a psychological experiment...

And just how much of it
a person can withstand.
To understand the paranormal,
First we need

I'm leading us on a road trip
to explore
The most haunted abandoned
locations in all of america.
Each night, we'll separate
and sleep alone.
The catch is, I'm the only one
who knows where we're going.

So it is another day.
Right now, tanner and chelsea
are actually in the rv
Right there,
and yeah, they're in there
Because they can't hear
what I'm about to say.
For this next location,
we are going to a haunted
Abandoned hospital
in tennessee.
The history with this hospital
goes very deep,
And it's very dark.
One of the other things
that caught my attention
While researching this location
Was there are hundreds
of accounts of spirits
And how many people have either
been attacked and scratched.
One of the things that's got me
nervous and worried
Is that there's said to be
a spirit on the third floor
That only picks on women.
I think this is gonna be
a major challenge for chelsea.
I don't think she's gonna be
too happy
When I tell her about this.
Myself, tanner and alex, like,
We're gonna have
to have her back.
We're gonna need
to watch her.
This location is gonna really
test myself
And tanner and chelsea
just as a team.

haunted places.
This next location is
definitely gonna be tough.
What are your goals
for this one?
My personal goal is, like,
to overcome my own fear.
I want to get better
at not freaking out.
Like, I want to compose myself,
But, like,
that's why we're doing this.
I have the exact same goal.
Like, what are my boundaries on
getting afraid and being afraid?
I don't know.
And just from my experience
in the paranormal,
For us to understand
the paranormal more
Like we want to, we do need
to overcome fear first.

take these entities

spirits, head-on.

overlook that would allow us
To see seven states at once.

Beautiful views and caves.

and alabama all in one site.
That's our road trip

a good chunk of these states.

is an evil one,
And it only attacks women.

even just last week
At this location,
another female was attacked.
That pisses me off.
You know that I'm new at this.

this is new to me.
I promise you that's not why
I picked this location,
And I told tanner before you
because I wanted him to know
That this is what
we're going up against.
There's lots of other spirits,
but we need to have --

So it scratched women.
It's pushed women.
One woman was thrown up
against a wall.
It's been known to just
follow them
After they go into the location
and attach itself,
Kind of like an evil entity
normally does.
They call it the creature.

of it itself is scary,
And just knowing that
there's just that added element,
It's just...I don't know.

overwhelmed by it.

I did a lot of research
To get this information
about this location.
I've called.
I've talked to a lot of people.
This one is very dark.
You guys already know
a little bit about it.
The creature on the third
floor and...
But, tanner, open it up.

Old south pittsburg hospital.
Oh, a hospital?
Dude, hospitals creep me out.
Oh, me, too, big-time.
"one of the most haunted places
in all of tennessee,
"old south pittsburg hospital
sits on land that has a long
"and sordid history of death,
violence and pain
As well as many lives lost
to illness and suicide."
"the land has also been the site
of a major civil war battle
With hundreds of lives lost
to brutality of war."
It was called
the chickamauga.
- That was the battle.
- Really?
It was on
the chickamauga river,
Which is also
that river right there.
- No way!
- Yep.
And they called it
the river of death
Because of all the bloodshed.
It's the second most bloodiest
battle of the civil war.

We believe that the blood
from the land from the massacre
Is what started the events
that are happening now.
"the land sat vacant until 1959,
when four medical professionals
Founded the south pittsburg
medical hospital."
With it being a hospital
that was in operation,
Naturally there were very many
deaths here, a lot of trauma.
What makes this one unique
is the water
Underneath the building.
It's also built on
a limestone base,
Which we all know in
the paranormal
Kind of holds energy.
You mix the water,
and you mix the limestone,
And you've kind of got
a really good energy field
For the spirits to utilize.

"and quickly became dangerously
overcrowded and understaffed.

and suffering patients
"would line the hallways
on gurneys,
"and doctors and nurses alike
were worked to the bone,
Some even to their deaths."

Performing surgeries
in the er to this day."

One of the things that
I really believe in is that
When you have
that traumatic death,
You kind of get lost,
And you don't realize that
you might have passed away,
So you kind of stick around.
A lot of residual,
Especially on the second
floor nurse's station.
You can still feel it
if you sit down there.
You can feel the breeze.
It's them walking back
and forth,
The doctors and nurses
still doing their daily routine.
You'll hear the elevator ding,
and there's no electricity.
"the most terrifying part
of the building
"is said to be the third floor,
"which is allegedly home
to a dark entity locals call
"the creature,
"a malicious spirit
that likes to terrorize women
Who venture up there alone."
That's what I was telling
you guys about earlier.
I came across the creature
one day doing a walk-through.
He came out of one wall,
with green eyes,
And went back through the wall.
It startled me,
but I kept on walking.
He came out of another wall,
and his eyes was red,
And pushed me into the wall
Across on the other side
of the hallway.
I have actually saw him
with my own eyes,
As a matter of fact,
right behind me.
He crawled up the wall,
Over the ceiling
and through the other wall.
He looked to me like a big mass,
sort of like a dog.
[ growling ]
He's got, like,
long strips of hair,
And sometimes his eyes
will be red,
And sometimes
they'll be green.
He's like an overseer.
So I really hope
you don't draw
Any sleeping arrangement
on the third floor.
This is a whole new level of,
like, entity.
- It's not a humanoid spirit.
- No.
We'll be sleeping on
the ground,
And this thing is known to be
slithering on the ground.
"there's also the spirit of
a toddler on the third floor
"affectionately known as buddy,
"who likes to play
and has even asked to be held.
"but some say the creature
is so malicious
"that he even terrorizes buddy
And keeps him from
coming out to play."
[ child speaks indistinctly ]
We've heard of the little boy,
And he was bitten
by baby rattlesnakes.
He thought they were worms,
and he picked them up,
And he passed away here.
- Jeez!
- It's terrible.
That's so sad.

nelly's room, 304."
Nelly was a patient
in the psych ward.
She is not very friendly
with men,
And nelly does not like
her door being shut,
So we constantly leave it open.
Her room was 304.
I just feel like no one
is safe here.
Yeah. No one is safe here.
Especially that there's light
energy and dark energy.
It gets unpredictable
what could happen.
None of this information
is comforting.
No. Not at all.
I'm already nervous,
and we just got in.

With a woman
named sharon long.
She's gonna tell us
her paranormal encounter.
So she was actually
at the hospital
When it was still active.

She saw the ghost of a doctor
decades ago
When she brought
her baby daughter there.
So she has her baby
in the hospital,
And that's when it happened?

It happened when my daughter
was 4 months old,
October of '82
I took her to the doctor there.

When we got there, the hospital
was full, and they took us up.
I believe it was
the third floor.
And they said that, you know,
Nurses would be coming
and checking on us.
Anyway, we went to sleep,
and about two or three hours
Later there was doctor came in.
[ footsteps approaching ]
And he looked at us and nodded,
And he reached over
And he touched her hand,
And her fingers
went around his thumb.
He touched her back
while I was holding her,
And then he started out,
and he said,
"if there's anything we can do
for you, please let us know."
I said, "okay," so he left.
And you stayed
the entire night,
And you found out the next day
that no one was on that floor.
- Nobody came in.
- No.
And you swear that you saw
a doctor come into the room?
I did.
I even felt when he was rubbing
her that he was touching me.
I just couldn't believe it
because he was just so fleshy.
- So real.
- Real.
- Right.
- Yeah.
It's not like you seeing
through something or...
Right.
And you had no suspicion
that that doctor was not real?
Mnh-mnh.
As I found out later,
there was a doctor that,
Years ago they told,
Had died there of
a sudden heart attack.
If it was the doctor that died
of the heart attack there,
I mean, he's probably just still
there trying to do his job.
Yeah.
He doesn't realize
that he's gone.
Mm-hmm.
The third floor
is infamously haunted.
- If he needs anything else.
- Right.

in tennessee.
The history with this hospital
goes very deep,
And it's very dark.
One of the other things
that caught my attention
While researching this location
Was there are hundreds
of accounts of spirits
And how many people have either
been attacked and scratched.
One of the things that's got me
nervous and worried
Is that there's said to be
a spirit on the third floor
That only picks on women.
I think this is gonna be
a major challenge for chelsea.
I don't think she's gonna be
too happy
When I tell her about this.
Myself, tanner and alex, like,
We're gonna have
to have her back.
We're gonna need
to watch her.
This location is gonna really
test myself
And tanner and chelsea
just as a team.

It's been known to just

After they go into the location

Old south pittsburg hospital.

Dude, hospitals creep me out.
Oh, me, too, big-time.

"old south pittsburg hospital
sits on land that has a long
"and sordid history of death,
violence and pain
As well as many lives lost
to illness and suicide."
"the land has also been the site
of a major civil war battle
With hundreds of lives lost
to brutality of war."
It was called
the chickamauga.
- That was the battle.
- Really?
It was on
the chickamauga river,
Which is also
that river right there.
- No way!
- Yep.
And they called it
the river of death
Because of all the bloodshed.
It's the second most bloodiest
battle of the civil war.

We believe that the blood
from the land from the massacre
Is what started the events
that are happening now.
"the land sat vacant until 1959,
when four medical professionals
Founded the south pittsburg
medical hospital."
With it being a hospital
that was in operation,
Naturally there were very many
deaths here, a lot of trauma.
What makes this one unique
is the water
Underneath the building.
It's also built on
a limestone base,
Which we all know in
the paranormal
Kind of holds energy.
You mix the water,
and you mix the limestone,
And you've kind of got
a really good energy field
For the spirits to utilize.

You can still feel it

You can feel the breeze.
It's them walking back
and forth,
The doctors and nurses
still doing their daily routine.
You'll hear the elevator ding,
and there's no electricity.

That's what I was telling

I came across the creature
one day doing a walk-through.
He came out of one wall,
with green eyes,
And went back through the wall.
It startled me,
but I kept on walking.
He came out of another wall,
and his eyes was red,
And pushed me into the wall
Across on the other side
of the hallway.
I have actually saw him
with my own eyes,
As a matter of fact,
right behind me.
He crawled up the wall,
Over the ceiling
and through the other wall.
He looked to me like a big mass,
sort of like a dog.

He's got, like,
long strips of hair,
And sometimes his eyes
will be red,
And sometimes
they'll be green.
He's like an overseer.
So I really hope
you don't draw
Any sleeping arrangement
on the third floor.
This is a whole new level of,
like, entity.
- It's not a humanoid spirit.

We'll be sleeping on
the ground,
And this thing is known to be
slithering on the ground.
"there's also the spirit of
a toddler on the third floor
"affectionately known as buddy,
"who likes to play
and has even asked to be held.
"but some say the creature
is so malicious

And keeps him from
coming out to play."

And he was bitten
by baby rattlesnakes.
He thought they were worms,
and he picked them up,
And he passed away here.

Anyway, we went to sleep,
and about two or three hours
Later there was doctor came in.

And he looked at us and nodded,
And he reached over
And he touched her hand,
And her fingers
went around his thumb.
He touched her back
while I was holding her,
And then he started out,
and he said,
"if there's anything we can do
for you, please let us know."
I said, "okay," so he left.
And you stayed
the entire night,
And you found out the next day
that no one was on that floor.
- Nobody came in.
- No.
And you swear that you saw
a doctor come into the room?
I did.
I even felt when he was rubbing
her that he was touching me.
I just couldn't believe it
because he was just so fleshy.

It's not like you seeing

And you had no suspicion
that that doctor was not real?

As I found out later,
there was a doctor that,
Years ago they told,
Had died there of
a sudden heart attack.
If it was the doctor that died
of the heart attack there,

there trying to do his job.

He doesn't realize
that he's gone.

is infamously haunted.
