Time to go. I'm done and want to

I don't know when we'll see him

MAN: Watch out!

NARRATOR: 670km to the north-west

Hey, Carper! Yeah?
You don't do (BLEEP) around here.

What are you talking about?
Asked you to (BLEEP) make me

(BLEEP) season,

and you're (BLEEP) too busy cos

Oh, too busy sleeping... HEY!
Don't you (BLEEP) get in my face.

(BLEEP) Do you understand me? Do

What the (BLEEP) is that? What

Back off (BLEEP), Keith. You're

You're out of line. You don't do

Go to bed or go out on deck. Get
out of my (BLEEP) face.

Raise your voice one more time

After eight hours of pulling
empty pots...

..Captain Keith Colburn cracked
under the pressure.

I don't just snap over something
small.

A lot of (BLEEP) piles up and
finally I snap.

..unleashing his wrath on
cameraman Brad Carper.

He asked me to make him a (BLEEP)
cup of coffee.

A pot of (BLEEP) coffee, dude.

That's (BLEEP), man.

For some reason, I get all spun
up.

It could be that a lot of the
frustration I had

was some of the really bad
numbers we haul

is finally starting to bubble
out.

While Captain and cameraman
stew...

..out on deck...

MAN: (BLEEP) haul here, bro.
We're right in the ditch.

A 14-hour shift plagued by sand
fleas...

..finally comes to an end.

This area's... It's not working.

Not what we're after.

I gotta try and move the gear
again.

Keith sets a course for new
grounds.

Deckhand Freddy Maugatai's way of
turning the boat's fortune

is downright hairy.

I never know I'm so good at doing
this.

MAN: Sweet.

Sweet!

What do you think, Cap?

I think that looks good, man.

I can do it, but I don't have the
proper hairline for a Mohawk.

But you can... You know. You can
do it.

Cos of good luck?

Oh, Freddy, don't make me feel
like...

I hope this brings some good
luck.

Move out. I'm going in.
FREDDY: Oh!

Do it now before I have a change
of mind. (BLEEP)

Oh, awesome, awesome.

This better work. This better
work.

It will work. It will work.

Breaking the bad streak, Lenny.

The crew hits the deck,

hoping they shaved away the rest
of the bad luck.

MAN: Crab dance.

(LAUGHS) These goofballs.

The screws have completely
rattled free on the boat now.

Team Skinhead and Mohawk is now
officially at work.

We're gonna get some crab now.

Hopefully it'll bring some better
weather and greater fishing.

All right, so we're about to do

the lucky hair in the bait
technique right now.

Time to get back to work. Come
on! Come on! Let's do this!

Season over with!

Get on some fishing and go to
town.

50km away...

..the Cornelia Marie stares down
her final haul.

That's the one you set. Nice job.

It's even straight. Good job.
(LAUGHS)

Don't tell me 'nice job' yet.
Let's see what comes up.

OK. Are you ready to go?

..Josh Harrish set his first
30-pot string.

..which, for the Cornelia Marie,

may be the last.

I want to keep this boat fishing.

It's what I was born, bred and
corn-fed to do.

I'm gonna make it happen.

If we can get decent numbers out
of the gear,

we're gonna start stacking.

Not only will solid numbers end
the season...

Jake and Josh both have
potential.

I'm rooting for them. I really
am.

..they'll fuel the confidence of
two aspiring skippers.

Who knows what the future's gonna
bring?

I'm taking this personal.

This is all my crabbing
experience.

I'm expecting to see numbers.

I'm hoping. Fingers are crossed.

Definitely blame Josh if anything
sucks.

Definitely.

He set them, so I guess he gets
the blame.

CAPTAIN: That (BLEEP) sucks, man.

What the (BLEEP).

The first one sucked.

I hope it's not pot for pot the
whole way like this.

(MEN EXCLAIM)

MAN: Oh, look at that!
MAN: Sweet!

Woo!

(LAUGHS) At least we know there's
crab here.

(MAN SPEAKS INDISTINCTLY)

If this keeps up, we won't make
fun of him.

MAN: Jackpot!

We're killing 'em. Just killing
'em. This is great.

Fish couldn't be much better than
this, man.

It's about as good as it gets.
MAN: Amen to that, brother!

That's probably 600 crab.

The bounty offers the Harris boys
a glimmer of hope.

MAN: Yeah, man!

Best dump we've had probably all
season of string right here.

Easy sorting. Numbers are great.

The crab are big and bountiful.

Their good fortune continues
straight through to morning.

MAN: A lot of happy crab.

Last pot of the season right
here. It's all over with.

Got what we needed.

Going home. Everything went our
way today.

It's sunny out. It's nice.

Last pot, dude. Last pot.

(MEN CHEER)

MAN: Rock'n'roll!

MAN: Game over.

OK, guys, that's the last pot
here.

So dump the crab.

Sending these guys back.

MAN: Get 'em out of it!

With the fate of the boat still
hanging in the balance,

the crew heads for home.

Each man pockets $21,000 for his
labour.

At the end, the grind's worth it,
you know?

Going home.

530km north-west of Dutch Harbor
is the Northwestern.

We've only got a day or so to get
the pots on,

stack 'em and get out of here.

With a south-west 50 looming in
the next couple of days,

all we have is a small window of
opportunity

and we're gonna take it.

Captain Sig Hansen races to
finish the season

before another storm engulfs the
grounds.

We need around 40,000-50,000lb of
crab in the gear

to call it a season.

But he can't stack pots before
stuffing the tanks.

We need like 300 crab per pot
to get us home right now.

First pot's coming up.

If we don't see the crab,
we're gonna have to dump it back.

Probably go back in and wait.

So it's all or nothing really.

Let's see what's in the first
one.

MAN: Oh, Lordy, Lordy.

(MEN CHEER)

Yeah!
We're going home, baby.

Are we going home?

We're going home!

Dial in!

Oh, yeah.

It's awesome, man.

What's it look like?
400 or 500. Real nice.

MAN: Oh, yeah.
Yeah, we're getting rich!

With numbers like these...

We basically have enough crab

to throw our pots on and get out
of here

before we get nailed.

The rest of Sig's quota is
soaking on the ocean floor.

(LAUGHS)

MAN: That's going home material
right there.

OK, Jake, this is all you, man.

So take control.

If they don't listen, just let me
know.

The crew must build an intricate
170-pot stack...

..without Edgar.

When he means I'm in charge,

it means I'll be running the
crane with Nick.

Stack on top, which is scary in a
40-knot wind.

And that's what we're dealing
with.

Normally, this would be an Edgar
show.

Now pretty much Jake is stepping
in there to take over,

so... so it's a lot, you know?

Hey, yo, can I get a deck huddle?

Combined, you guys taught me
everything I know out here.

I just want to say, before we
start, let's be safe, and...

Matt, you'll be throwing the
hook to the gear.

Nick, you'll be on the stack.

All right. Let's go, guys.

Northwestern.
Go, team!

MAN: Woo hoo!

MAN: Hey, hey, whoa.

I'm sorry!

30-year-old Jake Anderson

must oversee the hauling, the
sorting and the stacking

of every last pot.

MAN: Wait a second, Jake!

What? What the (BLEEP), dude?

Oh, my God!

MAN: Oh, that's... That's just
not good, dude.

SIG: Get a little control over
your pot

instead of running around like a
(BLEEP).

It's in the early AM.

It looks like this weather's
coming sooner than we expected.

We got a lot of snow squalls,

and now it's starting to pick up
more and more.

I'm looking at the stack and
biting my nails here.

Only one way to really learn and
do it, and that's to do it.

Next to running the boat, this is
the highest-stress job

you can get out here.

MAN: It's on it.

After stacking 60 pots...

We've been grinding all night.

He screwed up a couple of times,
which is OK.

He's doing good. Overall it's
fine, you know.

Jake begins to find his stride.

MAN: Doing a great job, Jake.

You know, I could tell home and
tell my mom.

She could be proud of her son.

My dad's watching me in heaven
right now.

Came a long way.

I came from off the streets. I
used to live on the streets.

I'm happy, but I'm not walking
through the front door yet.

With 40 pots remaining,

the aspiring deck boss gains the
trust of his crew.

Jake's doing good. He's holding
it together.

Couple of glitches here and
there.

He hasn't cracked yet.

He's so passionate about what
he's doing out there.

He's all about the fishing.

That's one thing you can't buy.
You can't buy passion.

Six long hours later...

MAN: We're gonna get rich and go
home!

(MEN CHEER)

..the final pots are lifted from
the sea.

All right. He didn't kill us.

I think I (BLEEP) my pants,
though.

I'm pretty sure, Uncle Nick, I
(BLEEP) my pants.

Jake Anderson proved himself
pretty worthy on the crane.

Pretty much pulled it off.

Awesome!

See? You did it!
I can't believe I did it, though.

Yeah. I really can't.
No, it was good.

One thing's missing - we gotta
give him a stripe.

Yeah, I get a stripe1

On your knees. We're gonna knight
you.

What are we gonna knight him?
What do you wanna name him?

MAN: 'Edgar Jr'?
No.

How about 'Edgar Wannabe'?
No!

Sir Jake of Northwestern -
deck boss, Northwestern.

Yeah.

Let's go home.

Across the fleet...

Really need to get this trip over

And get the heck out of here.

The finish line to opilio season
draws near.

It's been a long trip.

The final pots are splashed.

All right. Back in business. Here
we go again.

The fate of the Seabrooke...

(GROANS)

..remains unknown.

We're running out of time. Got to
find some crab.

For a fortunate few...

All right. Last pot coming up.

Last pot! I'm going home!

..a two-month battle is finally
over.

We've had some highs and lows
this season. I don't know.

It's... it's nice to end on a
high.

Take me to town, Bill!

Get this pot aboard. We'll chain
it up. We head for town!

Season over! Yee-ha!

Good job, brother.
Take me home!

Hey, which way to town? I don't
know. It might be that way.

Or it might be that way.

(SPEAKS INDISTINCTLY)

The course for home is plotted.

Woo!

And back in Dutch Harbor...

I need something, something to
shut them up for a long time.

(LAUGHS)

..one captain plots his revenge.

He got me. He got me good. I'll
admit it.

What is that? Is that a boat
coming here? Is it a chopper?

JOHNATHAN, ON RADIO: Did you see
our UFOs?

Is that Johnathan?
(MEN CHEER)

You just scared the (BLEEP) out
of me.

How do you teach a little child
when he does something wrong?

You give him a little time out.

So I think it's time for our
children on the Time Bandit

to have a little time out.

We owe them now.

Team Time Bandit - now I've got
to return fire.

SIG: Payback time coming.

I'm about fed up with this trip.

This has become the trip from
hell.

Time to get out of hell and get
this season over with.

This is the Mohawk string we're
going to go pull.

So it should be pretty good.

Better be.

Captain Keith Colburn heads for
the top of his Mohawk string.

Going to make some money!

Let's get this boat filled up and
go home.

Certainly not going in there
light and stranding any crab.

Get ready. It's coming up.

attention.

But hopefully he'll be all right.

And now the boat's entire season
is on the line.

We're on a limited time period
here.

We've only got like a day and a
half of fishing left.

Taking the skipper to Dutch
Harbor

will add an extra week of fishing
to their season.

We don't know what's going to
happen. A big gamble.

A big gamble for all of us.
