Deadliest Catch (2005–…): Season 7, Episode 14 - The Island - full transcript

The treacherous waters off St. Paul Island make offloading crab in this barren outpost a terrifying necessity for several boats. A harbor surge snaps lines on the Wizard while another greenhorn walks off the Seabrooke in a cloud of shame.

Fishing opies
in midwinter -

we have no choice but to deliver
to St Paul Island.

Once you start, you go. You will
not be able to turn around there.

It's treacherous, it's cold,
the harbour's filled with ice.

This must be one
of the worst harbours to enter.

I wouldn't do it.

St Paul is the Alcatraz of the
Bering Sea.

And I wouldn't wish it
on my worst enemy.

I'm sick of it!

Is tearing up
all our tie-up line.

Hold on!
Don't tell me what to do, Mouse!

Early morning,
St Paul Harbour, Alaska.

I gotta get this controlled
right now.

The 47-metre Wizard is five hours
into an offload.

I got off-loaders getting seasick
in the tanks,

and we're at the dock,
it's so nasty out here.

But a six-metre swell is wreaking
havoc at the dock.

Mouse, just tell 'em real quickly

to get that one line dealt with,
OK?

That way we don't got to have
somebody underneath that crab.

There you go. Pull that in.

Everybody hold on!

Mouse!

Freddy, go get that
spring line on the bow!

Get this spring line just here,
OK?

The big surge here is tearing up
all our tie-up line!

If we lose too many lines, we
won't be able to tie the boat up,

and that'll be the end
of the offload.

All right, go push it ahead, and
then we gotta get these things

tightened up when I'm holding
it ahead, all right, Soper?

Some of the lines
we're using right now,

they're great for a nice day,
but on a day like today,

they look like dental floss
trying to tie us up.

I gotta get this
controlled right now.

We still have 200,000lb coming
out of the belly of this boat.

If the crab on board die,
Keith will lose $800,000.

Somebody pick up the radio,
please.

Mouse, can you hear me?

Anybody have this thing
in their hand?

God !

Somebody put the radio
in their hands!

Hey, Mouse, come up here
and talk to me, would you?

This is like the blind leading
the blind right here.

I see one guy doing nothing,
two guys doing nothing.

We're doing nothing!

!

Mouse!
Yeah?

Let's get the processor to loan
a big line.

I know damn well they got some.

I guarantee you they got another
big line on one of those tows.

If we keep pulling gear
and leaving gear...

Don't tell me what to do, Mouse!

Now instead of fixing lines
that are too thin,

Keith borrows a 15cm-thick line
from the processor.

Perfect.
Let's get it on here!

It's perfect!

They got these big lines
from the dock

to tie the boat up with
so they don't break.

I want that line over here!

Just hook the eye in the hook.

Did you get the eye through yet?!

Watch your fingers!

I think that's it, Mouse.
Is it tight?

Yeah, it's tight.

We've got these real heavy lines
on here now, thank God.

If we break something like that,
we're just gonna have to leave.

With the boat finally secure,
the offload can continue.

So, we got things kind of under
control here,

it appears, for the time being.

All right.

It's gonna be a long day.

About six lines have parted
so far, at least.

The way we're bouncing around,
if we don't stay on top of it,

we'll be right back
where we were,

which is chasing lines
that are broken.

I hate this harbour!

110km from St Paul Harbour...

..is the 38-metre Northwestern.

The delivery date
is coming up pretty quick,

and we don't have a lot of time
on our hands.

The deckhands have been labouring
for the last 24 hours

on an offload in a day's time.

Two thumbs up.

You know, we're on the home
stretch. This is it.

You know, stay focused,
don't take it for granted.

It's the last lap, and we gotta
do this before tomorrow night.

A little behind schedule,

so, at this moment he's kind of
cramming 'em down our throats.

Want to get at least 100 pots.

He really wants 150,

but we'll try to run through
at least 100 today.

With the clock ticking, Sig needs
the guys at the top of their game.

You know, we're trying
to race through the pots

as fast as we can,
but Matt's on the hook,

and if he doesn't hit
the first time, we're done.

Ain't that big a deal.
Just missing.

When Matt lugs around and doesn't
get it right off the bat,

I lose it.

Come on!

I don't know why they put him
on the hook,

cos the guy can't throw
the hook!

You can't
around with this.

Oh, my God.

What the hell?

Now I know how Edgar felt.

Matt's misses
slow the pace to a crawl.

You know,
we can't do this any more.

We're catching crab.
I don't care.

I get angry
when I see stuff like this.

I can't put the bags in your lap!

! Oh, my God!
That's it!

Now I lost visual on it.
!

Do I go to back-up or not?!

The trailer was right here.

It is always Matt!

I think he got it in the
prop,

so, probably gonna cut the line,
lose the pot.

Just a lot of stress, you know?

I'm sick of it!

OK, I'm just gonna go ahead
and get in the wheel here.

Hey, hey, it just popped up!
Where is it?

Port side,
right at the crane base!

Chopped up the trailer line,
but the diver's still there,

which is hooked up to the pot,
so, that's good.

Sig uses even more precious time
to circle back and haul the pot.

Please, God, be with me.

Pick it up.

Why do we gotta be so ?

But after one hour
and half a dozen misses...

OK, Jake,
this is all you, man.

..Matt is replaced on the rail.

Yeah, let's hook her out!

That was a very professional
hook throw. I enjoyed that throw.

You gotta throw the hook right.

This is what I love. This is my
bread and butter right here.

Things are starting
to smooth out.

Jake, you know,
he's strong on the hook.

I mean, he's really aggressive
and gets the bag in the block.

now we can just concentrate on
trying to keep our steady pace

and get the pots on,
and try to get out of here.

And you can tell Matt's
a little out of practice.

Definite difference.

But it makes me happy cos, you
know, it's, uh...

Jake is the one that we gotta
build on, you know?

Boy, you turned into a pro!

That's what it's about
right there.

700km north-west
of Dutch Harbor...

..is the 33-metre Seabrooke.

Yeah!
Yeah! Whoo!

There's 450, 500 plus.

Captain Scott Campbell Jr has set
his gear on big numbers.

But the skipper's
in no mood to celebrate,

thanks to his brother,
Chris 'Whipper' Welch.

Shorthanded on the deck
and lots of crab on the table.

Whipper flaked out on me.

I was trying to teach him
some work ethic, and you know,

give him an opportunity that,
you know, very few people had.

Yo?

If you pull this on me
and you go home because of that,

you can never come back
to this boat.

Hmm, no Whipper on deck.

He was perfectly fine

until he had a phone conversation
with his new wife,

and it really upset him,
whatever it was -

I don't know the particulars.

Then he told me that his stomach
was hurting him again.

The last time he pulled this,
there was nothing wrong with him,

a pulled stomach muscle.

Apparent pulled stomach muscle,
let's get this clear.

Whether he's going to make a
triumphant return,

I have no idea.

I don't know what's gonna happen.

Junior will try to charge him up,
I'm sure.

Work on his sense of pride,

see if that can
get him back out here.

Whipper, report to the
wheelhouse.

A lot of times when guys make up
their minds to quit,

there's no getting 'em out of it.

When they're done, they're done.

Yo.

I want to know
what's really going on.

I don't want to hear
about your stomach.

I want to know
what's really going on.

I want you to come clean,
tell me exactly what it is.

What is really going on?
That's really going on!

Whipper, how, in a 12-hour
period,

have you, all of a sudden,
now your stomach hurts so bad

that you felt that
you couldn't work?

Dude, I don't know!

A pulled stomach muscle is not
something

that you cannot work through.

It was not pulled, it was torn.

A torn stomach muscle,
you can work through.

, these guys got torn
muscles left and right.

Do you realise
what kind of a situation

you're putting yourself into?

How are you going to put food
on the table for your family?

That's what I want to know.

You know what I had to do when I
was hurting like you?

I had to push through the pain so
my family could survive.

You have a family now, Whip.

Have you thought about that?
Yes, I've been thinking about it.

OK, well, then, I would say that
would be a good enough indicator

to provide for your family,
to push through a little pain,

and suck it up.

That's part of fishing.
What else are you going to do?

You're an uneducated man.

There's no work for educated
people right now.

It's a tough deal.

I worked through a blown
shoulder,

a missing digit!

You're tough when it comes to
physical pain.

You've got something mental

that's making your physical
seem worse,

and you're not coming clean
with me, Whip.

Dude, I am dead serious.
I'm not even with you.

If I didn't want to be here,
I would have said something.

OK, so, what are you gonna do?
Push through it.

I plan on going out there.

I would say that's probably a
pretty good decision there, Whip.

All these guys are hurting
just as bad as he is.

It's just, you know,
he's gotta understand

that he's no different
than anybody else.

He's still gotta go out there,
he's still gotta perform his job.

If there's not a bone
sticking out,

suck it up and deal with it,
you know?

My brother thinks
I wanna go home.

He thinks there's something
going on, which is .

Cleaned up well.

Welcome back.

I still think
he's not coming clean,

but if he goes back out on deck
and works

and finishes off the season,

well, then, I guess he'll let
his drop

and became a man,
push through the pain.

435km from Dutch Harbor in
St Paul, Alaska, the Wizard...

Oh, you gotta love this
harbour.

..has off-loaded its last brailer.

Cut the full price,

but the price we got will put us
at about $800,000.

Second-biggest trip I've ever had
on here - 424,000lb.

And as hard as it was
to keep the Wizard at dock...

Now I just gotta find a way

to get the hell out of this
harbour in the dark.

..leaving will be even harder.

With a bunch of creepy-crawly
curlers out there

right at the harbour entrance,
so...

Wrap her tight as fast as you
can.

Wrap the out of
everything too.

It's gonna be cold on the way out
there.

This place is nasty. I can't wait
to get out of this town.

It's looking like we're gonna get
into some pretty big swells

and some freezing spray and
stuff.

It could get pretty gnarly.

I would say the chance of us
getting out of here

without getting pounded
are gonna be pretty slim.

Here's the breakwater. Here's the
submerged breakwater right here.

If you get over here,
you're on the rocks.

You get too far over there,

you're in the breakers full-time
and you're on the rocks.

You gotta time it here and make
that turn

and then you gotta punch it
straight into it.

The problem is it's only two to
three fathoms deep right there,

which means it's only 12 to 18
feet of water under my keel.

Guys, stuff those lines
underneath quick as you can,

then come in the house.

A shift in tides is causing

six-metre swells to surge through
the harbour.

Go ahead! Pull away!

Keith must thread
the 47-metre vessel

through a narrow 90-metre-wide
passage in 5-metre-deep water.

Where's the breakwater? Tell me
what's happening over there.

You're looking good.
Sure?

Positive.
OK, I'm gonna punch it.

this, man. We're getting
the out of here.

That's it.

OK, you're looking good.
You can come this way.

You sure?
I'm absolutely positive.

OK, I'm gonna come that way
just a hair.

Come on, come on,
come on, come on.

Oh, my God, I've only got, like,
six feet of water under the boat.

Let's get over these next three
or four waves, then we've got it.

There's a whole line of waves
out there.

Someone was on our side,
cos not one of 'em broke.

St Paul is always an extremely
tricky manoeuvre to get in

or to get back out.

She never gives it up easy.

105km to the west...

..on the Northwestern...

It's times like this you're
thinking,

'Why the hell didn't I go to
college?'

..after hauling gear for almost
two days straight...

..the men barely have enough
energy to shuffle off deck.

That tank is full.

The guys, however,
are very tired right now.

You know, give the guys
a decent nap.

They can get a good, solid rest,
recharge their batteries.

But before the bone-weary skipper
gets his break...

..he still has a seven-hour run
to his offload in St Paul.

You know, I'm tired,
and the guys are really tired,

but I'm thinking it was worth it
in the long run.

Two hours into the steam...

Well, we finished up grinding
through the night here.

About to head to the island.

..Sig starts to drift off.

When we were starting
out, it was half our boat,

so it was maybe 80... to 100...

Something like that, so...

I don't even know what I'm...
Am I talking to you?

Well, we did manage to get a hold
of a picking hook puck...

Um... we'll use it if it works.

Sig? Sig!

You all right?

tired.

Unable to stay awake...

Junior, I gotta lay down for
20 minutes. I'm dying. All right.

..the captain reaches out
for help.

I'm sorry, I can't keep awake,
but...

Oh, no, that's fine.
That was good...

I think we did the right thing.

Jake Anderson takes the helm.

300km from St Paul
Harbor...

..is the 33-metre Seabrooke.

These crab are big.

Well, it doesn't get much better
than that.

The crew is in the home stretch,

hauling their final 15 pots before
heading in to off-load.

But the skipper's brother
Whipper...

..is still complaining
of stomach pain.

How's it going, Whip?

It sucks right now
to be me.

It's getting pretty bad
right now.

Feels like I'm gonna explode.

Every time
he's gone over a month,

something like this happens.

I mean, I don't like to be
at all,

but you know, I mean,
it's not an easy job out there,

you know, and at times everybody
has their breaking point

where they try and look for
an excuse to, you know, bail out.

Every time I take a piss,

every time I bend down,
it's getting bad.

Usually guys do it
when the fishing's slow.

Not when the fishing's like this.

After the final pot of the trip
is sorted...

We are done.
We're headed to town.

..the crew heads inside.

Whip, I need to know
what's going on,

because your mind
is a million miles

from being on the boat right now.

Something's going on at home, and
if you need to go deal with it,

then let's get it dealt with,
and you know... I mean...

The only thing bothering me
right now is my body.

That's the only thing
that's killing me right now.

Yeah, I mean, come on, dude.

When guys are hurting, I know
they're hurting.

I mean, I need to know how severe
this issue is at home,

because you're gonna get hurt,
dude,

because you're not paying
attention

to what's going on out there.

I mean, every pot you're looking
at the tank, 'God, is it full?'

And you know, and your mind's
just, I mean...

It's not in the game.
You know it and I know it.

It's not.
I know.

If you need to take some time off

and go deal with the situation,
just let me know.

I'm not feeling so good,
body-wise.

I know your body's hurting.
Everybody's is.

That's not the issue.

Do you need to go home and deal
with the situation?

Yeah, I got issues at home
that I need to take care of,

and I need to get it done.

All right, we'll get you on the
plane and get you out of here,

but like I say, you should've
came clean in the beginning

and I could've already
had you home.

I've got to take off
after this trip,

and go be with my family,
they need me right now.

So, I gotta go.

Plus it'll give me time
to recuperate,

get rid of this stomach issue,
and get back up here.

The problem that me off
is that he lied to me.

He didn't come clean
from the get-go.

He should've just came to me and
said, 'Junior, I've got an issue.

Here's what's going on.
I need to go home.'

Like...

Just tell me the truth.
Don't lie to me.

190km to the south-east...

..is the 31-metre Kodiak.

Holy... Oh!

This is a rare day
in the Bering Sea in January.

I mean, it's flat, calm, sunny.
Fishing's great.

Captain 'Wild Bill' Wichrowski
is on good numbers.

Pretty easy to sport a smile
on a day like today.

Bait these up and kick 'em off.
Seem to be fishing just fine.

Been a long day, dude.

But even with crab on the table,
the crew is lagging.

Everybody's got a little bit of
the sniffles.

A six-day flu
has beaten them down.

I hate doing this
when I'm healthy.

When I'm sick, dude,
I just wanna go lay down.

I wish we had sick days, man.

I've accumulated a lot of days at
sea with no sick days.

I think I'm entitled
to a couple here.

This is a nice-looking pot here.

Damn, where'd you get this
pile from?

Halfway through the string...
There's a gem for you, Jake.

That's your trophy for the day.

..the crab come up
riddled with barnacles.

I imagine the cannery is not
gonna be happy with these crab.

You go to somewhere that
specialises in year-old seafood,

and you might get crab
that look like this.

Not as... presentable crab
as you would want.

We want cleaner crab cos you get
a higher price for it.

But deck boss Adam McCalden...

575, 7-0.

Nice crab.

..fails to inform the skipper.

Yeah, we're gonna set back.

Yeah, here we go.

The crab's dirty.

It'll fill your boat, you just
won't make any money off it.

They are dirty. Would you want to
eat that on your plate?

My cheeks are sore from smiling.

When the string ends, Adam finally
comes clean to Bill.

Bill, you hear me?
Yeah, roger.

Wow. That's interesting
that I'm getting this now.

Oh, .

What do you do?
What do you do?

Somewhere in the middle of that
string,

the crab transitioned over from
clean crab to tainted crab.

I mean, I looked at the stuff
from here.

I could tell it looked a little
darker,

but I wasn't getting anything
from the deck,

so I didn't think it was
dramatic.

I don't know what's going to
happen here.

I put a lot of time into him,
and last season it was a wreck.

During king season...

Don't walk away from me.
OK, Bill!

You know what? Adam! Adam!
Settle down!

..Adam lost his cool.

Yeah, Adam, get off deck.

And was thrown off deck.

I gave ultimatum that no-more
browbeating everybody on deck

and people off
and just, you know,

taking out your frustrations
on everybody on deck,

and he's done good
for about four days.

Maybe he's reached his limit,
you know?

Maybe he's maxed out

on how he can cohabitate
with people, you know?

Cos for the last year and a half,
he hasn't done it very well.

Not doing his job.

And I just ran three and a half
miles, you know, in the ditch

to set on the numbers
that I was given

so we could harvest this crab.

I mean, it just...

On the run between strings...

..Bill heads down to the galley.

There's no sick days here, man...
I'm not saying there was!

I apologised
for having a rough start,

and I'm fully coherent now.

You told me you didn't tell me

that the crab went to
cos you're sick.

I'm just telling... I'm sorry!
That's all I can say.

You know what?
It's your job, dude.

All right, well, let's...

Let me know what goes on
the rest of the afternoon.

Yeah, will do.

I know you're not feeling good.
We've all been there before.

We've all fished
for a lot of years,

and you're not feeling good,

let somebody else give me the
crab counts,

let someone else let me know
what's going on if you can't.

It's important.

There's no room for anything
less than the best.

And I just kind of see the fire's
gone out in him, you know?

It's...
He's just another deckhand.

500km north-west
of Dutch Harbor...

It's a little sloppy tonight.
We got dark, rain, and crappy.

..skipper Wild Bill Wichrowski
is hauling and setting pots

he set on dirty crab 14 hours ago.

He didn't tell me that the crab
changed from being

good, clean keepers to something
less than top quality.

And deck boss Adam
is taking the blame.

There's no excuse for that.

Thought I was training
a predecessor,

but I'm having doubts
on that one.

My job's easy as .
It's just frustrating.

When you work with a guy that
many months a year,

it's like father-son.

You know, everybody gets mad at
their father,

everybody gets mad at everybody,
part of the gig here.

Got a lot on my mind
all the time.

Got a lot of people's hides
on the line here.

And it's sad, because it's, like,
a personal project of mine

that I've failed at.

I don't know,
maybe I picked the wrong guy.

I think I'm gonna get Zach
on the rail, you know?

I'll have him come up and throw
the hook for a couple here

while the weather's crap.

Bill turns his attention
to his greenhorn son.

Why don't we put Zach on the rail
for a couple of pots

and we'll see how he does in the
weather?

You've handled the hook before.

I've thrown before, but not in
weather like this.

You're up, kid.

Yeah, this type of weather
here,

this is the first time Zach's
thrown in an actual storm.

He's probably nervous.

I bet he's got some butterflies
in his stomach right now.

Here we go.

Yeah, baby. Oh, yeah.

He did good there.

Anybody can throw the hook.

Throwing the hook is like
throwing a baseball.

I'll run circles
around you any day.

Any one of you.

Actually, throwing the hook

is the most exciting, most
important job on the boat.

If you have a guy that you can
trust and not have to watch him,

it makes all the difference in
the world.

Zach, you're
getting it in the block

a hell of a lot better, buddy.

Yeah, I'm getting it,
I just...

I wish it would just come
natural,

then I wouldn't have to worry
about it.

But I'm sure my dad
had to work at it too, so...

I'm really pleased
to see him stepping up,

because, I mean,
it's a caste system down there.

The further up you are,
the more you make,

the more status you have,
the less crap you gotta eat,

and I would think that, you know,

if he's anything
like I thought he was,

he'd wanna climb
as fast as he could.

With the last pot hauled
and stacked...

Yeah, OK, you guys,
why don't you come in

and have a little bit to eat,

then we'll get ready to do
the rest of this?

The crew head in, and Adam heads
up to the wheelhouse.

Hey, Bill.

Every time I do something,
every time I make a move,

it's completely wrong,

and I just feel baffled every
trying, and why I'm trying.

All I wanna do
is just make you proud

and just do the right things,
and it's just...

And I've just been stressed out,
between you and me.

It seems like I'm regressing

rather than progressing
down there.

And you ask why I've been
dragging my feet

on bringing you up here
and showing you?

It's because of that.

This season started out
with a lot of neglect

on things that needed to be done,
on overseeing the operations.

I'm just trying
to find a happy medium.

I want to do more downstairs,
I want to do more up here.

There has been plans
since king crab

to start showing you
how to run gear.

It's gonna take a little while
to get back to where you were.

The better I've been and the more
harder I've tried,

the more negative
you've been to me.

You know,
if I didn't care about you,

we wouldn't have any
of these conversations.

It would've just been,
end of king crab -

take your ,
move along, man.

And you know what I said?

Or... I don't know.
I'm gonna... just drop this.

Wow.

I've put a lot of time,
and heart and soul into that kid,

and he was a train wreck
when he came on here,

and you know, he had a drive,
he said he wanted to run boats,

and I said, 'I'll show you how to
run boats,

but it's gonna be a rocky road.'

We'll see how the next
couple of days go,

but I'm really disappointed
today.

685km north-west
of Dutch Harbor...

I've never gone home
because of my wife.

There's times
I've THOUGHT about it.

..is the 33-metre Seabrooke.

Times she's threatened
to leave me,

though I used to fish
ten months a year back then,

you know, just trying
to make a buck.

You know, I feel like
I'm letting down the guys,

which I kind of am,
and I hate doing that,

but you know, when you got family
, you gotta take care of,

you know, you gotta go.

They all understand, you know.

I mean, I just don't know what
he's thinking.

I mean, I just don't get it.

The Seabrooke curse, man.

How come the old-timers
can deal with it

and the young bucks can't?

What's the deal, Bob?

Just threw a cloud
over the whole operation.

Yep. Huge cloud.

Beautiful, beautiful St Paul.

We're coming in to St Paul, we've
got to drop the Whipper off.

He's gonna have to hustle out to
the airport to make his flight.

Go around to our floating
processor, off-load to them,

and then we're gonna beeline
straight back out.

We're gonna be under the gun
and try and slam out a quick one.

Dropping off poor Whipper here.

Kind of a bummer seeing him go,
but... he's gotta go.

Better get rolling, Whip.
See you, buddy.

See you, bro.
All right.

Here, let me help you.

Young Whip on the run.
We'll see you, all right?

Take care, bro. I'll call you.
All right.

It's an inconvenience for us, an
inconvenience for him,

but you know, he feels that's
what he needs to do.

And hopefully, you know,
he's making the right decision.

I just think that he probably

should have stuck it out
till the end.

Eight hours later,
just outside the harbour...

What - into the harbour?
Yeah.

..Jake Anderson
is ready for a new test

on his climb
to the captain's chair.

Well, there's only one way
to learn, and that's to do it.

He said the east end, so you've
got to go all the way around.

This has gotta be one of the
worst harbours to come into.

At least he's got the weather
working for him.

I wouldn't do it.

Nope!

First you gotta get this adjusted
to where you want it.

Do you know where you're going
right now?

No.

I just want to stay out of the
shallows right there.

Once you start, you're go!
OK.

You can't turn around here,
you can't turn around there,

and you will not be able
to turn around there,

because you're going to start
going in.

Go ahead.

Jake sets a course
for the St Paul dock.

Maybe this will go
to his head

or maybe this will make him
better a bit - we'll see.

It's gonna make him not wanna be
on deck even more,

which is what I really hope for.

He does not need to be me.

He doesn't need to be Edgar.

He doesn't need to spend his life

on the deck of a crab boat to be
somebody.

Look at your radar.

An easterly is gonna wanna
push you to the dock.

And you're oversteering
everything.

Starboard. See, now you're
oversteering with that.

That takes three seconds
before it catches up to that,

so by the time it catches up,
you're too much.

Go left. Port, port, port.

You're heading
right for the point.

Adjust your boat. Do it now.
Port, port, port!

There.

There you go.

Looking good, Jake.
Coming in nice.

So, you have to hug both docks.

You wanna just stay right in
there and then sneak by 'em.

Well, at least we got the wind
direction

blowing for us this time.

Last time we were tied up
like a battleship.

You look on the dock
and see all the snapped lines.

Yeah, this time we got the wind
holding up to the dock.

Could be a good thing.

A little to starboard.
Kick it in gear.

And just try to creep up,
you know?

OK? It's OK. Just nice and slow.

And then use your thruster.

OK. You're doing good.

OK, stop with the thruster.
Straighten out your boat.

Tie it off.

You know, let the wind
just settle you.

There you go. You're good.

Kid did wonderful,
bringing it in.

Tied up and all the paint's
still there.

I'd say we did all right.

Not too shabby, Anderson!

There!

Not too shabby.
Ah, you did it all.

I couldn't have done it
without you.

Tell me about it!

It was actually very, very, very
nerve-racking.

Very nerve-racking.
I'm moving forward, though.

I just don't see it.

Every day reminds me of
first gr...

Every day reminds me
of first grade on this boat.
