Eric falls for Lianna but despite living nearby, she is a no-show three times. Nev and Kamie uncover a rabbit hole that runs deeper than they could have imagined.

"for the past five months.

We started having phone calls.

and I told her about my son, told her about my work.
We shared some things about our lives with each other.
She had a way of, like, just making me think differently.
She really got into, like, me thinking my future
and what I'm trying to do,
and she was just very supportive.
I feel like she's a good soul.
I was easily able to connect with her,
and it's weird, because usually I don't even
open up like that to people.

Within about two weeks of talking to her,
I wanted to meet up.
The plan was for her to come over,
and then we were going to go out to Delaware Park.

and then boom, her phone goes off,
and I don't hear from her for like a week.
- So she ghosted you again. - Yes.
- And yet somehow you're still involved with this woman.
- That's where Maria comes into play.
- That's Lianna's friend you mentioned. Maria.

- After the second time, I block Lianna.
So about a week goes by.
I start messaging with this girl, Maria, online.
- She messages you first?
- No, it was me. I messaged her.
- How did you find her? - I just happened to see her
as people I should know, and I added it.

- She immediately brought up Lianna
and that she can't talk to me, because she knows Lianna,
and she wouldn't do that to Lianna.

it would make sense that she might pop up

She was trying to tell me to give Lianna another chance.

- Maria said, "Okay, I'm coming to Buffalo.
I'm going to bring Lianna to you."
I unblock Lianna, and we made plans.
Maria was going to drop her off at my house.
The day comes. These girls are on their way,
and she says that Maria pulled over,
because she was fighting with her boyfriend.
So Lianna says, "Listen.
I'm just gonna walk to you."
I went outside, and I looked both ways.
And I didn't see her anywhere.
So I went back inside, and then I didn't even call her,
and she didn't even call me.

- So please tell me you have not talked to her since.
- She contacted me about a month ago,
and I kind of fell right back into it to be honest.
- She stood you up three times.
- Yeah.
You know, she was saying she'd give me another chance.
So at that point, like, I did invest time into you,

and making all these fake profiles?

So we did a search for Kayala [bleep].
Now, this brought us to a Twitter account.
There aren't any pictures of her,
but whoever had the Kayala [bleep]
Twitter profile at some point changed the name to kprincess.
So we kept searching, and we found this Instagram
for kprincess, and sure enough the name is Kayala again.
It's locked. It's private.
So all we could see is that she's using SpongeBob
as her avatar.
Not sure what that means, but okay.
Do you know anyone named Kayala?
- I don't. - Right.
That name doesn't ring any bells to you.
Now, it could have just as easily been
a fake account that someone started.
I'm not sure there's any way to really decipher that.
But who is posting them? Who is Kayala?
Is she the girl in the pictures?
How, if any, is there a connection
between her and Lianna?
We don't know yet.

- So and then we sort of though, "Okay.
Let's go back and do the phone number.
So we searched the phone number you have
and the one that you text,
and the first hit we got
was for someone named Kalynn [bleep].
Does that-- - Does that name ring a bell?
- No.
- Well, according to this,
there is a Facebook page linked to her info.
So here's Kalynn.
Kalynn is 29.
- You don't recognize this girl?
- No. No, I got no idea who that is.
- Right. You've never seen her before?
- No. None of that's ringing a bell.
- The one thing that jumped out at me
was that her background here is a SpongeBob photo.
So that made me think, "Okay. Wait a second.
And if you go back to the Instagram
and Twitter that we found, it's a picture of SpongeBob."
- Kayala and Kalynn are similar names.
They both have SpongeBob in their profiles.
I mean, it could just be, like,
a silly coincidence, but--

- From how I'm looking at it, I got catfished.
- Yes, it's definitely not a good sign that
the phone number comes back to a different girl named Kalynn.
There doesn't seem to be any trace of, like,
a Lianna anywhere other than the Facebook page
that you're friends with.

So we sent some messages to some of those guys
just in the hopes that we might get to
talk to some of them, and one of them got back to us,
but he basically just said, like,
"Yeah, I've seen your show. What's up?"
And so I messaged him back asking if maybe he could talk,
but obviously I haven't heard back yet,
and so that's kind of where we left it.
- We just hit up all those guys,
but we never hit up Maria.
- Oh, that's true.
Maybe we should try reaching out to Maria.
- But assuming Maria and Lianna are the same,
and then we could be tipping off.

You know, we ended up starting to talk,
and we kicked it off,

So we eventually got to the point where we wanted
to meet each other, and we go ahead and meet up.

I'll be there in 2 minutes,"
and then everything is blocked.
- And when you talked, did she ever mention her friend Lianna?

- I've been talking to Lianna
and pretty much the same exact story you just said.
She stood me up a couple times.
Then Maria got involved.
They talked me into trying to chill
with both of them it was supposed to be.

- You know, it kind of hurt me.
I was so, so excited to see this person,
and out of the blue, this girl
Tracey messaged me on Facebook
stating that she was actually
behind the profile of Maria.
- Tracey? - Yeah.
- Not someone named Lianna or Kalynn?
- Nope.
- Who the hell is Tracey?
- Have you ever video chatted with Tracey?
- I mean, I've tried video chatting with Tracey,
but she's never actually showed her face,
and Tracey, she was like,
"You know, I have a lot of money.
"I came into a lot of money.
"Please let me take you out.
Let me buy you a house.
me buy you a car..." and... - Huh?

she is the one that was pretending to be Maria
and that she felt badly that she had lied to you

all this ghosting and playing games,
and it's like mind games.
It's not fair to me.

connection with this girl, Maria,
and all the while, it sounds like
she was doing basically the same thing with Eric.

She's got Crohn's disease,

That is my life,
so I think I was trying to give myself a different life,

I wanted to get rid of it so many times.
I was getting myself more upset and depressed
even liking somebody, because then I'm like, "Okay.
Now I'm waiting all day for somebody to call me"
and all that.
It was, like, I'm more or less lonely.
Then I ended up started liking, like, especially Eric.
I ended up liking him.
And I was looking for somebody to be with, like,
have that connection and just vibes.
- I'm sure you feel that way right now,
because it's all in front of you,
but, like, honestly, I don't know
heads from tails of your stories,
except for that it's all a lie.

- Even though you are seemingly very self-aware
about different aspects of this,
I think that there are a lot of deeper issues
that need to be worked out internally.
Like, woman to woman, I just have a feeling
that you've been going through this
and feeling this for a really long time.
We need to shave off some of that insecure feeling,
because it's keeping you from being able to make true,
genuine relationships
and even just a relationship with yourself.

but, like, no one should have to feel this bad
about themselves that they need to do this.
- You say kind of a lot of the right things about knowing
that what you were doing was wrong
and feeling bad about it, but at the same time,
I don't think you really get just how hurtful
what you're doing is, and Eric--
- No, I do exactly know how hurtful it is,
because you're playing with people's emotions.

- You told us you only had two profiles,
but do you know how many other people
you've been leading on these past few months?
- I don't know.
- Well, what you could do is,
you could post on each of the profiles and say,
"This is who I am. I've been lying this entire time.
I'm sorry, and I apologize,"
so that way you can apologize to everyone.

You need to give everybody involved
or affected by your lies the courtesy of the truth,
and putting yourself in a position to,

and be accountable is part of building up your confidence.
