Britain's Got Talent (2007–…): Season 15, Episode 2 - 2022: Auditions 2 - full transcript

Are you sure
we're in the right place?

Yeah, positive.

I spoke to Amanda
to see what the judges were up to

and she said, "Greece is the word."

Well, let's just enjoy
a taste of Greece, then. Yep.

MUSIC: 'Grease Is The Word'

GEARS GRIND

I don't remember that noise
in the movie!

# It's got groove,
It's got meaning... #

Oh, my God.

Oh!
Oh, my goodness!

Sandy!

MUSIC: 'Tutti Frutti'

Sandy!
I know.

Pop in.
You do look strangely attractive.

I know. No need for the "strangely”,
I think just "attractive”.

LAUGHTER

# Oh, rootie

# A wop bop a loo bop
A lop bom... #

You idiot. She meant Grease
The Musical, not Greece the country!

I'm gonna just pull up. Here we are,
look, here's Simon's house.

BRAKES SCREECH

You're up to...
# You're the one that I want!

# You are the one I want
Ooh, ooh, ooh, honey! #

How long did it take you
to get ready?

Well, I was wearing this
this morning anyway,

so it worked out well.
OK.

BRAKES SCREECH

By the way, the driving's dreadful.
Whoa!

Sorry.

I actually feel sick.
Is it my perfume?

This is the most fun
I've ever had in my life.

BGT, let's go!

# You gotta let love lead you... #

Are you ready?

You know what, yeah, I'm ready.
I'm ready, I'm actually ready.

The best outcome, for me,
is no red buttons.

I think you can win, honestly.
You reckon I can win?

It's getting close to the time now,
I'm getting really nervous.

My heart's like, uh-uh-uh.

We are The Brit Kidz, we're
a dance group from Port Talbot.

We all love Britain's Got Talent,
we watch it every year,

and it is our favourite show.

I wonder how loud
the audience is gonna be.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
ANT: Hello, everybody!

Welcome to
Britain's Got Talent 2022!

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

Imagine if you get a Golden Buzzer.

I know!
It'd be amazing.

Amanda Holden!

And Simon Cowell!

# You gotta let love shine... #

This is, like, huge.

I'm gonna be speechless, like,
seeing actual Simon in real life.

Simon, Simon Cowell.

Hello.

Very simply, just be badly behaved,

just boo anything David says...
LAUGHTER

...and have a great time.

The judges are ready, let's do it.
It's all yours, good luck.

Have fun. Good luck.
Enjoy it.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

Yay!

Hello.

You look very excited.
Yeah, we are.

OK, so Brit Kidz,
what does that mean?

Erm, kids from Britain...

LAUGHTER

I got... Again, I got that.
We're British kids.

You couldn't have guessed it,
could you?

When I say, "What does it mean?",

I mean, are you, like,
singers or dancers?

We're dancers.
You're dancers, great.

And how do you split the money
if you win?

I think we would probably go on
a big holiday together as a family.

Are you gonna win?
Hopefully!

OK, no more questions. Good luck.

# Amen

# It's raining men. #

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

It's what Britain's Got Talent's
all about!

# What I want you've got

# It might be hard to handle. #

Aw, I love it!

Well, well, well, well, well.

We weren't expecting that.

Let me go to Amanda.

Do you know, it was literally like
watching our lives

flash in front of our eyes.
Like a greatest hits. Yes.

Alesha. Oh, your energy is amazing,
I really loved it.

All of you put in such hard work
and time and dedication to this,

and I felt that. So, well done.

ALL: Thank you!

David.

We loved it because it was about us.
LAUGHTER

The wedding was very moving,
I thought, as well.

LAUGHTER AND CHEERING

There was one in particular
who stood out, second row.

Yes. I'd like to see more of you.

All right. Let me kick this off
with a big, fat yes!

CHEERING

Alesha.

It's a yes from me.

Amanda.

Definitely a yes from me, well done.

You've got four yeses.

# You make my dreams come true

# Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh

# Oh, yeah

# |'ve been waiting for you, girl

# Oh, yeah

# You make my dreams come true

# Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh... #

I have to say, about this show,
the acts feel home-grown.

Yes, I like that.
You know what I mean?

It's like they've done something
specifically for this,

and I like that.

Listen, go and celebrate,
you did a great job.

That way. Well done, everybody.

# You make my dreams come true. #

Gonna go out there and kick it!

You ready to come and perform?
Yes.

He is.
Brilliant. Come with me.

PRODUCER: Happy? Happy, everyone?

LAUGHTER

My name's Dante, I'm 13 years old
and I'm from Liverpool.

# Welcome to Wonderland,
Look where you're at... #

Are you excited about performing
in the Palladium? Yes.

What do you think's gonna be
the most nerve-wracking bit for you?

Speaking in front of
that massive crowd.

I'm Rachel, I'm Dante's mum.

Dante was born with brittle bone,

which obviously prohibits him
doing a lot of things in life.

Erm, well, it's meant to stop him,
but it kind of doesn't stop him.

I have broken 97 bones so far.

Everyone says
you can wrap me in bubble wrap

and it still won't protect me.

Remember, be yourself.

Mum's super proud.

Dante, he just, like,
melts me heart.

Don't make me cry again.

He just doesn't
let anything stop him,

he just fights and shines
in everything that he does.

# Laughing
Till the morning comes... #

Today, I'm gonna be
sending a message

that you don't need
to let your disability stop you.

Dante!
What are you doing for us today?

I'm singing.
You're singing?

Just don't give up on your dreams
cos one day, they will come true.

Listen, they're ready if you are.
Are you ready to do it?

Yep.
Yeah?

It's all yours. Onto the star.
Good luck, pal.

Have fun out there.

# Now that I must leave

# With a heavy heart

# Oh, Wonderland

# I love. #

Hello.

Hello.
What's your name?

My name's Dante.

Oh, I love that name.
How old are you, Dante?

13 years old. Are you supposed
to be at school at this minute?

Yes, I am, but...
LAUGHTER

However...

Yeah.
Do they know why?

Not really, no.
Ooh.

OK.
LAUGHTER

We'll keep it a secret.
HE LAUGHS

And what is the reason
that you decided

to come on Britain's Got Talent?

So, I was born
with brittle bone disease

and I've came on
Britain's Got Talent

to show other people like myself

that even if you've got some sort
of disability or disadvantage,

that you can go as far as
your imagination wants to take you.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

How would you spend the money
if you won Britain's Got Talent?

I would buy my mum a giant house.

ALL: Aw! Is that
who's in the wings, your mum?

Yes, I wouldn't go anywhere
without her.

Well, the stage is yours. Good luck.

Thank you.

Oh, bless him.

# I am just 13 years old

# 1I've broken 97 bones

# The hospital's my second home

# But I just wanna say

# Don't feel sorry for me

# Cos I feel sorry for you

# I get to go on the rides
In Disneyland

# While you're stood
In the queue... #

LAUGHTER

# Don't be surprised
If your girl gets home

# And you find my number
In her phone

# No, don't

# Don't feel sorry for me

RAPS:
# I've been in Buckingham Palace

# I've rode up and down

# The closest you'll get
Is watching The Crown... #

LAUGHTER

# When you wait for a train
In the cold and damp

# I'll be getting on first
Up my cute little ramp

# When I got my new wheels
They looked so ace

# I was happy like Simon
When he got his new face

# So, so0, so

# So

# Don't feel sorry for me

# Cos I feel sorry for you

# Last birthday
I blew 13 candles out

# Simon had 62!

# Now I'm here on your TV

# Ripping it up on BGT

# So don't

# Don't feel sorry for me. #

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

You are very naughty.

That's brilliant!
Yes! Very nice.

God, why did I get it?

LAUGHTER

Me and Dante know each other.
Oh, do you?

We've met a few times,

cos he said, "Could you write
a book about a boy in a wheelchair?"

And I dedicated it to Dante.
Is that why you didn't insult him?

LAUGHTER

Did you write that song yourself?

Yes, in lockdown.
It really captured you,

how cheeky you are,
how special you are,

and how much you do
to inspire others, too.

So I loved it, Dante.
Thank you, that means so much.

Yeah, you're amazing.

Very, very cheeky. Your laugh is
really naughty as well, isn't it?

LAUGHTER

What is there not to love about you?
Well done, Dante.

Thank you.

Comedy often has to make you think
or make you go,

"Oh, God, are we allowed
to say that?"

And that's
when it's the best comedy.

That was a really funny song,
well done. Thank you.

Yeah, you know what,
it was just a great audition.

And if we put you through
to the next round,

can I help you write the lyric
about someone on this panel?

You'll have to wait and see.
LAUGHTER

I always say a great audition
is one you're gonna remember,

and I'm gonna remember this,
it was great.

Can I be the first
to say yes, please?

# And I'll be gone
Gone tonight... #

It's a yes from me, Dante.

I'm saying yes, Dante.

And it's a yes from me,
so that's four yeses, well done.

# The story of my life
I take her home... #

Thank you!

# To keep her warm
And time... #

Brilliant!
Well-deserved.

What a lovely boy.
Such a lovely boy.

What more can you ask for
as a parent?

There are nice people in this world.

Not on this panel,
but in the world there are, yeah.

What just happened?!

I'llL tell you what happened,
you got four yeses, my friend. Yay!

# Les oiseaux dans la charmille... #

My name's Louise Geller.

I'm 29 years old, I come from Bath,
and I work as a doctor.

I worked for two years
as a junior doctor

in different specialties,

and then I took some time out

and I applied for
the music colleges in the UK,

and I got a place,

and I went to study
opera performance.

And whilst I was doing that,
I also kept working in A&E,

so, yeah, it's tough at times.

VOCALISES

Now, we have a little surprise
for you.

I have a co-star
who's gonna be joining me.

He has a lovely voice,
and loves to join in at home.

Jasper. Jasper. Come on.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
Hi!

Hi, sweet!

Thank God for that.

Simon likes dogs, doesn't he?
This one's for Simon.

Oh, Jasper!

He looks like Barry Manilow.

# Les oiseaux dans la charmille... #

Think the dog's gonna sing?

I hope so.

LAUGHTER

# Jeune fille... #

The dog's not doing anything.

Oh, Jasper, give us a tune.

Just one woof.

He does not like that!

LAUGHTER

He wants out.

LAUGHTER

I don't think he likes
your singing very much.

AUDIENCE BOOS
It's true.

Why are you booing?

AUDIENCE BOOS

So, I'm gonna say no.

BOOING

Oh, shut up.
LAUGHTER

I think today I'm gonna say no.
AUDIENCE: Aww!

I'm so sorry.
And we've got to remember,

we're looking for an act
that can go on live television,

that can sing for the royal family.

He'd be great on live television.
LAUGHTER

So, are you saying no, David?
Yeah, no I'm gonna say no today.

Nice to meet you all.

I can see why
he didn't say anything.

There's a lot of pressure on him.

I mean, that was hilarious.

Aw, he didn't quite do it today.
Jasper! No.

Stage fright.
Yeah, exactly.

This is a bad start for dogs,
though, right?

LAUGHTER

# God only knows
What I'd be without you... #

My name is Amber,
and this is my dog Nymeria,

and we are from Holland.

I dance with my dogs.

Yes!

Nymeria is my best friend.

She's kind of tied to me,
and I am to her.

She gets all the attention
from everyone.

I would love to perform
for the royal family.

That would be the best thing ever.
LAUGHS

Yeah.

Oh, she's gonna lie down!

# God only knows
What I'd be without you... #

Winning, I never thought about that.

That would mean the world to us.

APPLAUSE
Who is it now?

Three, two, one - go.

# God only knows
What I'd be without you... #

I'm really nervous, like,
it's now or never.

Ready, sit.

GASPS
Oh, hello!

Hi.
Who are you?

I'm Amber.
And who is this?

This is Nymeria.
Hello, Nymeria.

KISSES AT DOG

What kind of dog is she?

She's a border collie.
Wow.

Gorgeous colouring.
Thank you.

And where are you both from?
We're from Holland?

OK, and how...

LAUGHTER
Here we go.

Why have you come
on Britain's Got Talent?

Oh, it's always been
our biggest dream

to achieve something like this,

and now standing here,
I'm almost crying.

Oh!
I'm so thankful to be here.

Thank you.

How old is Nymeria?
She's two years old.

And how often
do you kind of rehearse?

Mostly every day.

This routine took, like,
seven or eight months.

Wow. OK, this next two minutes
could change your life.

Good luck.
Thank you.

Are you ready, girl? Ready?
Twist!

Twist! Yes!

Sit. Good girl.

Right, ready? Sit pretty.

Go. Stick 'em up.

So cute.

Very, very cute.

Right, ready, sit pretty.

Oh, that's amazing.

SONG: 'Let's Twist Again'
by Chubby Checker

# Come on everybody
Clap your hands... #

Ready, go get it.

# Looking good

# Gonna sing my song
It won't take long

# We're gonna do the twist
And goes like this

# Come on, let's twist again

# Like we did last summer... #

We love a dog act here on BGT.

# Let's twist again

# Like we did last year

# Do you remember when... #

Wow, that dog is quick!

# Yeah, let's twist again

# Twisting time is here... #

I love the shoes.

# Round and around
And up and down we go again... #

CHEERING

# Twist again
Like we did last year... #

Oh, that's so cute!

CHEERING

# Who's that
Flying up there?

# Is it a bird?
No!

# Is it a plane?
No!

# Is it the twister?
Yeah! #

CHEERING

# Like we did last summer

# Come on, let's twist again... #

Look at it! Look at it!

Come on!

CHEERING

# Come on, let's twist again

# Twisting time is here... #

CHEERING

# Baby, make me know

# You love me so and then

# Come on, twist again

# Like we did last summer... #

The dog's walking backwards, guys.

# Like we did last year

# Come on, twist again

# Twisting time is here. #

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

# I may not always love you... #

That's one of the best
I've ever seen.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

Yeah!
Yeah!

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

Good girl, good girl!

What a dog!

# God only knows
What I'd be without you... #

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

# God only knows
What I'd be without you... #

Oh, thank you!

My God!

That was incredible to watch.
I'm speechless.

I mean, honestly,
you've done an incredible job.

Unbelievable.
Thank you so much.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

There's obviously such love
between the two of you

that it's wonderful to see.
It's not just a talented dog,

it's a very talented owner, too.

And the chemistry you have
is absolutely fantastic.

Thank you.

APPLAUSE

You know I love dog acts,

but this was in a different league.

I mean, it's the best dog act

we've had since Ashleigh and Pudsey.

Wow, thank you so much.

And I could tell the dog was smart
before we started.

I read this article the other day
where they're saying that in years,

collies will evolve so quickly

that they could be, like,
a dentist or something.

LAUGHTER

Where is he reading that?
In the Beano?

This is, I think, proof of that.

This is proof that a dog
can do dentistry?

LAUGHTER

Yes.

OK.
LAUGHTER

Right.

# God only knows
What I'd be without you... #

We're gonna take a vote.

This is the easiest yes of all time!

CHEERING

It's a yes from me.

Thank you.

It's a yes from me.

Four yeses!

Thank you so much.

CHEERING

And you were amazing.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

She was so quick.

And we saw stuff
we've never seen before.

How did that feel out there?

Crazy. It's a dream come true,
SO, WOW.

Good girl, yes.

Oh!
You did so well!

# Without you. #

You've got this exceptional talent.

It was absolute perfection.

And you get this.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

# Oh, sometimes I get
A good feeling, yeah

# Something's got a hold on me
Yeah

# Oh, it must be love... #

You could do anything
you put your mind to. Anything.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

# Let me tell you... #

Performing in front of royalty.
Oh, that would be brilliant.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

Aw!

Hello.
Hello. My name is Joy Weir.

I'm from a town called
Whitburn, West Lothian.

In fact, I'm about two miles
from where Susan Boyle stays.

Oh, really?

How old are you, Joy?

77.

Fantastic.

Have you brought anyone
along with you today?

My two granddaughters.

Where are they?

Ah, there they are.

I've a lot more.
How many do you have?

21 grandchildren.

Yes, Joy!

37 great-grandchildren.

Wow, that's amazing!
APPLAUSE

What a blessing.

So, what made you decide to enter
Britain's Got Talent?

It was my grandkids.
Love it.

So, I've got to do it for them,
haven't I?

Right, well,
we wish you the best of luck.

We can't wait to see what you do.
Thank you very much.

Sorry for having an opinion!

You have three yeses,

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

I just find it unthinkable
that anyone could buzz that.

Would you like me
not to have an opinion?

I think everyone would.

Yes!
LAUGHTER

Which judge do you want to impress?

Definitely Simon.

Simon, yeah, you have to get him.

He's moody and he doesn't wanna,
you know, dish out any love.

What's your name, please?

My name is Oswaldo Colina.
Where are you from?

I am from Venezuela,
but I live in Mexico.

What is the dream?
Maybe be famous.

Thank you.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

Hello.
Hello.

How are you? I'm not too bad,
I'm not too bad.

Good. What's your name
and where are you from?

My name's Axel Blake
and I'm from West London.

So, Axel, what made you sign up
for BGT this year?

I've got a 12-year-old son,
he's in the audience.

Nice.
Yeah.

Hi!

So I just wanted him
to believe in yourself, you know?

Put your mind to it
and you can make it happen.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

And do you have a day job?

Yes, I do property maintenance.

If you need a kitchen done,
Simon, let me know.

I do actually, Axel.
Give me a call.

I will.
Good.

I want a good rate.

No, no.
LAUGHTER

Come on, we're friends now.

Yeah, OK, cool.
Press that and we're cool, yeah?

LAUGHTER

HE LAUGHS

I'm really curious with you,
cos you've got your day job,

this obviously is what you wanna do.
Has there ever been a moment

where you've almost
lost your confidence and thought,

“I'm not gonna do this?"
100%. 100%.

There's been that time.

But when you have family
that's looking out at you

and inspired by you,
that's what keeps you going.

So, my son and my daughter,
that's the reason.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

All right,
well, we wish you the best of luck.

Go for it.

How are we doing, ladies
and gentlemen? Make some noise.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

I was gonna drive here today.

I realised I don't have a licence,
SO...

Don't worry, I drove anyways,
I drove anyways.

LAUGHTER

I took the Tube, I took the Tube.

I've got a love/hate
relationship with the Tube.

I love when it's empty,
I hate when it's packed.

I can't stand it.
Fight people off of the armrests.

Have you ever done that?

No, you don't.

This old lady's strong.

LAUGHTER

Have it, have it, Margaret, have it.

LAUGHTER

Some people do their make-up
on the Tube as well.

Make some noise if you've ever done
your make-up on the Tube?

CHEERING
Legend.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a woman,
she was doing her whole make-up,

a few stops later
she was a whole new person.

I was so impressed,
I started clapping.

I was, like, "You know what?
Yeah, you know?"

She looked down on me, like...

HE IMITATES SCOFF

I thought, "Huh?
You may be a nine out of ten now,

"but you was a -2
at King's Cross, love."

LAUGHTER

Boom! Yeah.

LAUGHTER

THEY LAUGH

I walked off the train like this.

In style, yeah.

On a brighter note,

just recently, my fiancee gave birth
to a little baby girl.

CHEERING

Don't clap, Simon, don't clap.

I didn't say the baby's mine, did 1?

LAUGHTER

I'm joking, she's mine!

Pandemic baby as well.
Aw!

Yeah, so I wanted to give her
a fitting name.

So we named her Pfizer.
LAUGHTER

I call her Pfi-eesha.
LAUGHTER

Oh, he's very good.

Technology is moving
at such a crazy speed.

Evolving crazy.
You've got the Metaverse,

you know,
you've got crypto currency.

I still get excited about my
contactless card when I use it.

LAUGHTER

I do. When I use it... beep!

Whoa-oh-oh!
I love the noise.

I've got a jacket
with a pocket on the arm,

sometimes I'll leave my card
in the arm.

And I'l pay with my arm.
LAUGHTER

Just to confuse the cashier.

"That will be £19.13."

Beep.

LAUGHTER

AXEL IMITATES GASP

Next week I'm going back, I'm gonna
leave my card in my back pocket.

"That'll be £22.60."

Boop!

LAUGHTER

APPLAUSE

Yeah, yeah.
THEY LAUGH

Then I walk off...

in style.

LAUGHTER

Yeah.

Who's in a happy relationship?
Make some noise.

CHEERING

Me and my fiancee have been together
for years.

Years, years, years.
And my friends ask me,

"How do you do it? How do you
keep it going for so long?

"Through the pandemic, baby..."

And I just say you find your woman
that, you know, loves you,

understands your flaws,

and find your woman has
a good sense of humour.

Just make sure those three women
don't find out about each other.

LAUGHTER

That's the trick.
But we don't really have issues.

In fact, the biggest issue
we have is,

I hate it when she would imitate
my voice in an argument,

and it sounds nothing like my voice!

I can't stand it.
She comes up to me,

"I ask you what time you're coming
home. And you said to me..."

LOW MUMBLING: "I don't know
what time I'm coming home."

LAUGHTER

I don't sound like that.
LOW MUMBLE: "Yes, you do!"

What I do now, I've got a way
to get her back.

I imitate her voice back.
And guess what?

She don't like it.

I did tell you what time
I was coming home. And you said...

LOW GRUNTING: "Well, make sure
you come back at a decent time."

LAUGHTER,
HE LAUGHS

"I don't sound like that."
LOW GRUNTING: Yes, you do.

She gets angry.

"Get out of my face!
Get out of my face!"

I say, "All right,
I'll get out of your face.”

But how do I do it?

In style.
ALESHA CHEERS

In style!

My name's Axel Blake, thank you.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

We like him! Good job.

Back in 2015, IMD actually hit

Britain's Got Talent,
big semi-finals.

I can now reveal
the act with the most votes

going through to the final is...
We worked so hard for it.

...UDI!

We lost out by an audience vote.
I think it was 0.9%.

It was heartbreaking,
seeing those young people in tears.

I don't wanna think of that,
cos it makes me emotional now.

We wanna come back and show them
that we've improved since then.

Are we ready to do it?
Yeah, yes.

Shall we get you on?
Yeah.

Gang, it's all yours.

Have fun.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

Erm, we work hard.
We train back-to-back.
