Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–2000): Season 4, Episode 18 - Heartbreaker - full transcript

Dylan gets Suzanne a job at the Peach Pit as a waitress, which takes a different turn when Nat is hospitalized after a heart attack. Dylan then learns that Nat may lose the Peach Pit when Nat's cousin Joey arrives in town wanting to sell it. Meanwhile, Brandon is asked to be a candidate for a college task-force on education to go to Washington. David seeks treatment for his drug use while trying to find a substitute for his radio shift and finds Steve, who does a bad job. Meanwhile, Andrea's not sure she can tell Jesse about her pregnancy, and Cindy becomes involved in university life as a courtship instructor.

Welcome, Brandon.
I'm Dean Trimble.

Well, this certainly is an honor.

So tell me, Brandon,
how does it feel to be chosen

the California University
representative

for the National Task Force
on Higher Education?

Well, I'm very honored
and surprised and happy.

Good. So do you have any concerns?
Any questions?

Yeah, do I really get
to meet the president?

Meet and advise.

At the end of the semester,

when the task force presents
its findings at the White House.

That's great.
I don't know how to thank you.

Listen, just do a good job, son.

Number one son, right here.

Let's hope he doesn't forget us

when he's lunching
with governors and senators.

I think he already has.

Do I know you?
You look kind of familiar to me.

Your brother has every reason
to be proud of himself.

Yeah.
Any time every group on campus

agrees on something, it's an event.

That's the part I don't get.
You spit on the Greeks,

you snub your nose
at the Progressives

and yet you still get picked.

Well, don't look
for a rational explanation.

The world just loves Brandon.

So, what are you gonna do
for us students?

You tell me, Mom.
After all, I am your representative.

- Time-out. You're whose what?
- Didn't Brandon tell you?

I got accepted
into the master's program

of Child and Family Counseling
at CU.

Hey, that's great, congratulations.

The campus can always use
another pretty coed.

Steve, please don't encourage her.
She'll just go on and get her Ph. D.

I love it.
My whole family's in the school.

I should get
some kind of a discount.

Well, Citizen Walsh.
How you doing, man?

Listen, you know,
this is how Bill Clinton started out.

- Same tie too.
- Yes, you're right, Dylan.

It started with a trip
to the White House

at a formative young age.

My father's told me that
a thousand times.

At least I can say
I gave him his first job.

Oh, yeah, speaking of that,
are you still looking for a waitress

to replace Nadine
while she's in Mexico?

I'm beyond looking. I'm desperate.

You know, you and Nadine
were the only two

that really understood this place.

- Don't even think about it, Nat.
- You're in luck, Nat.

Suzanne, a very good friend of mine,
happens to be in the market for a job.

And since I found you
the best help you ever had,

you can trust me, right?

So bring her in.
The sooner, the better.

Thanks.

I've heard of people changing,
but David's mutating.

Well, he definitely has some problems
right now.

I know he's not perfect,

but if my date in Big Bear
proved anything,

it's how much I want David back.

I think his feelings
are a little confused.

Yeah, he did ask us
if he could stay in the apartment.

- That must mean something, right?
- Maybe.

But I think it's a little more complicated
than you think.

I guess he was ashamed to tell you,

but David's started seeing
a psychiatrist.

Well, I barely scraped by finals
so I'm on academic probation.

I took too many sedatives
and lost my little sister at the park.

My living situation is the worst.

I just dumped my girlfriend
and now I want her back.

It's a lot to deal with all at once.

Sometimes getting out of bed
in the morning

is a lot to deal with all at once.

Yeah, that too.

So, what role do you think
drugs played in all this?

Well, no role really.

I mean, there weren't enough hours
in the day

and a little speed gave me
enough energy to function.

I thought you said
you were taking sedatives.

Yeah, well, I guess I was taking
whatever I could get my hands on.

But it's not a problem anymore
because I've stopped.

That's a big first step.

Keeping it that way
is gonna require some hard work.

When I teach yoga exercises,
I see the body in many pieces

like links of a chain.

No, I think I'm too Western
to be this Eastern.

Where'd you get this anyway?

It came in the mail today
from my mother.

- Your mother?
- Yes.

Since when is she the queen of calm?
She makes coffee nervous.

I didn't mean to interrupt.

No. Sorry, we were just...

Laughing.
You don't need to apologize.

Listen, Donna, there's something
I really need to tell you.

Kelly already knows.

I'll leave you two alone.

Thanks.

What is it?

For the past few weeks,

somehow I started doing
crystal meth.

You know, speed.

So I could stay awake
for my stupid radio show.

Well, I guess
it really screwed me up.

And I just wanted to apologize
for everything I've done.

I know I've been a real jerk.

Well, now you know.

Well, are you okay now?

Well, I'm clean
and I'm seeing a shrink.

I'm glad to hear that.

Listen, I know I took a good thing
and trashed it.

And if you want to toss me out,
well, who could blame you?

But if there's anything I can do
to fix things, please tell me.

I just want you to get well.

Yeah, me too.

Hey.

Do you have a minute, Kelly?

Sure, I'll try to tear myself away

from the typology
of primate phylogeny.

This better be good.

What's going on?

Are you okay?

Not exactly.

I'm...

I'm pregnant.

Oh, my God. Are you sure?

Yeah, yeah. I'm sure.

What are you gonna do?

I've just started college.
I don't feel like I have a lot of choice.

Kelly, have you ever had to?

- Did you get...?
- An abortion?

No, I haven't.

I don't mean to sound rude,
but do you know who the father is?

Jesse.

I know exactly when it happened.
One time.

One time without protection.

And what does Jesse say about it?

That's another problem. I...

I don't know
if I should tell him or not.

Kelly, he comes
from this huge Catholic family.

I'm sure he's not exactly pro-choice.

Maybe it's not as bad as you think.

I mean, he wasn't too religious
to sleep with you, right?

However it turns out, you know
that you can count on me for support,

or money, or whatever.

But, Andrea, don't you think
he deserves to know what's going on?

Yeah.

Yeah, I guess.

Hey, Nat, you remember my friend,
Suzanne, yeah?

Suzanne, this is Brandon.

- Hi, Suzanne.
- Oh, hi.

- The well-dressed one.
- Hi, how are you?

Listen, I appreciate this opportunity
to interview for the waitress position.

Okay.

You have good references.

Forget the interview.
The job's yours.

Just like that?

If you're as good as Dylan says
you are, I'm home free.

Well, thank you.
And the hours are perfect.

- I can pick up Erica after school.
- Excellent.

Come on, I'll show you around.
Excuse me.

I tell you, man, Suzanne,
I told her I'd help her out,

she says she wants to get a job.

That's a good sign. Give her
a chance to set down some roots.

Yeah. Thank God for Nat, huh?

Oh, look, he's giving her
the same tour I got.

"You see this?
Some people call this silverware.

Why? It's not silver.
And other people call it flatware.

- Why?
- Why? It's not flat. "

- So do you miss it much?
- Nat? Yes.

Serving food to strangers
at minimum wage? No.

Well, you're a real mover
and a shaker now.

Thank you.

Here it is, the moment of initiation.
The passing of the tray.

Then, you know,
here's your old knife and fork.

And then...

- Call 911.
- Yeah, you got it, buddy.

Look out.

Nat, you all right, Nat?

Yeah, we have a possible
cardiac arrest at the Peach Pit.

Can you get the address?

Okay, great, yeah.
As soon as possible. Thanks.

- Oh, no.
- All right, they're on their way.

- No pulse, man.
- All right, let's go.

One, two, three, four, five.

One, two, three, four, five.

Come on, man.
They're gonna be here, come on.

One, two, three...

I'm just glad he's a vet.
He's got some kind of health plan.

Yeah.

What do you think's going on in there
right now?

I don't know.

I got a feeling we're going to find out.
There's his cousin Joey.

- Good, good. You're both still here.
- What'd the doctor say?

You know doctors.
A lot of $5 words.

But it sounded hopeful, okay?

Nat's gotta be in the cardiac care unit
for a few days at least.

And then he's gotta get strong enough
for bypass surgery.

Poor little Butch.

- Butch?
- Yeah.

It was a nickname
his father used to have for him.

You know, growing up,
I used to look after that guy.

- Well, it's great you could be here.
- Of course I'm here.

Hey, Nat made a special request
to see you.

I thought the doctor said
it was immediate family only.

No, no, it's okay, he cleared you.
Go ahead.

Okay. Thanks.

- Tell him I'm pulling for him, bro.
- Will do.

I guess some people will do anything
to get a little attention, huh?

Yeah, he wanted me to tell you

that we won't be needing
any dairy deliveries.

No, no, none at all.

All right, any accounts receivable
you have,

you just forward them
and they'll be settled, okay?

That's right. No deliveries.

Hey, thanks, Karl. Okay, bye.

You know, Joey,
you could tell them what's wrong.

I mean, these people all love Nat.
I'm sure they'd wanna know.

Just let me take care of the dirty work
so there's no mistakes, okay?

I mean, the last thing he needs

is to be running up a tab
with his suppliers.

Hey, Brandon,

thanks, huh?

I mean, if it wasn't for you,

I would never have found anything
around here.

Yeah, well, I pretty much
ran this place for Nat this summer.

I know my way around.

You know,
he's lucky to have a friend like you.

He'll be back.

Yeah.

Andrea.

Hi.

So I guess this is it?

What are you talking about?

Usually when a girl says
"We've got to talk,"

and she looks like you do,
it means it's all over.

I hope it's not all over.

Thank God.

I thought you were going to break up
with me.

Anything else I can handle.

What do you say
we do this over lunch?

Great.

I usually talk better
with my mouth full anyway.

Come on, let's go.

What are you doing?
Wait, what are you doing?

Jesse, it's amazing.

Well, it's an amazing day.
The best of the best.

Why, what's going on?

Okay.

A couple of months ago,
I applied for a clerkship

with the Federal Court of Appeals.

Everybody does it
so I didn't give it much thought.

Then this morning I get the call
from Judge Meinor in San Francisco.

Jesse! Oh, that's great.

- That's wonderful.
- My mother is convinced

I'm gonna be the first Latino
Supreme Court justice.

Well, you have my vote.

All right, sit, sit, sit.

So... congratulations.

You are hitched
to a future power player.

Hitched?

Okay, hitched is probably
the wrong word.

But I think you should spend next
summer with me up in San Francisco.

Say you will.

Jesse...

Say you will.

Okay, I will.

All right, so fire away.
What'd you wanna talk about?

Nothing.

How you holding up?

Well, we'll see tonight
when I'm on the air.

You're doing the show?

I thought your therapist said

to avoid places
that got you into trouble.

I know.
And the radio station's ground zero.

But I've got to start
being responsible.

I made a commitment
and now I have to exit gracefully.

Well, if it's going to be too big
a risk for you, I can do it.

Thanks.

But you can't handle
the graveyard shift either.

Look, Howard will be back
in a couple of days. I can make it.

What's only for a couple more days?

Well, Donna thinks I should get a sub
for my radio show.

What? And you didn't ask me?

The Aladdin of the airwaves,
the ayatollah of rock 'n' roll?

I am the original Wolfman Jack.

Bro, I was weaned on show biz.

Steve, it's more than just weaning.
It's equipment to run.

FCC regulations. Playlists.

You can make a list
for everything he has to do.

And a playlist.

If I can learn how to run
the equipment in 15 minutes,

I'm sure Steve here can.

Who's gonna know who's playing what
at 4:00 in the morning?

And this way,
you can take a night off.

Okay, fine. All right, Mr. DJ,
but stick to the playlist.

No problem.
This is gonna be so cool.

I can't wait to tell my frat brothers.
Muntz, Keith,

I'm gonna be on the radio.

Great, nobody's gonna know.

Dr. Kravitz,
you have a visitor in the main lobby.

Dr. Kravitz,
a visitor in the main lobby.

Hey, Nat.

- Hey.
- How you feeling?

- Better.
- You look better.

I brought somebody to see you.

- Hey.
- Just don't tell anybody I was here.

I had to sneak past
Nurse Ratched out there.

Listen...

You saved my life and I don't know...

Nat, there'll be plenty of time
for that.

Hey, we brought you
something, Nat.

No more of these
in your diet though, huh?

See, everybody signed it.
Donna, Brenda, Kelly...

All my kids.

They can't wait to see you.

So, what's going on at the store?
They deliver the eggs yet?

I don't know. Joey's handling all that.

He didn't open up in time
for breakfast, did he?

- Things were a little hectic.
- What time did he finally open?

Lunch, right?

Nat, don't worry
about that now, okay?

Come on, just worry
about getting well.

In all the years,
Peach Pit's never been closed.

People count on it.

- It's a part of their lives.
- Don't you worry about anyone else.

You just worry
about getting better, okay?

Yeah.

Yeah.

- Hey, Bren.
- Hey.

Mom and Dad went to the movies.
But they won't be back late

because it's a school night
for Cindy.

So she's getting
on your nerves already, huh?

Brandon, how could she not?
I mean, everywhere I go, there she is.

Oh, come on, it's a big campus.

She wants to go to school.
What else can she do?

I hear they have
great correspondence courses.

Hey, you watch it.
You're talking about my mother now.

So how is Nat? Not too hot, huh?

Nat's Nat. Peach Pit's his whole life.

He's more worried about the New York
strip steaks in the freezer going bad

than he is about his own health.

That sounds like him.

Well, you know, without the Peach Pit,
he really doesn't have much of a life.

I'm really glad
he's got the store to go back to.

Otherwise, I really don't think
he'd make it out of the hospital.

What?

I can't believe Joey didn't tell him.

Tell him what?

Brenda, tell him what?

Brandon,
you did not hear this from me.

Dad and Joey
had a big meeting today.

Did you know Nat's cousin Joey
owns 50 percent of the Peach Pit?

No.

Well, he and Dad were saying
that the only realistic option

is to convince Nat to sell it.

Sell the Peach Pit?
They wanna sell the Peach Pit?

They can't do that. That'll kill him.

That's what they're planning
on doing.

Hello. I'm Steve Sanders,
your host for exploring our...

Good evening. I'm Steve Sanders,
your host for exploring our world.

Tonight we'll take a close look
at the new world of communication.

We'll meet some of the individuals
that are actually living

the interactive future today.

Let's go straight to our first guest,

a pioneer
on the interactive superhighway.

Hi. Are you ready to party?

Only $3 per minute
and you know I'm worth it.

Press one to continue,
or hang up now.

Come on, Steve.
Hang up the phone, please.

- Hey big stud. What's your name?
- Steve.

- Silver. What's yours?
- Kinky. With two K's.

Is that like one K at the beginning
or one K towards the end,

or is that like two big Ks
right in the middle?

Whatever you want, baby.
It's your money.

David, are you listening to this?

Yeah, Steve Silver. I'm toast.

I'm lying here
in my lace panties, Steve.

What are you wearing?

Well, you may not believe this,
but I'm wearing lace panties too.

He needs a hobby.

It sounds like you really know
how to have a good time.

Well, you're not just
saying that, are you?

Because I think we may have
something really special here.

Oh, that must be my girlfriend, Velvet.
She really loves to party.

Can you hold on?

I got a better idea.

At $3 a minute,
why don't you call me back?

Well, there you have it, our first
experiment into the electronic grid.

I hope you learned something
because I did.

In any event,
I'll be back to take some calls

from any of Kinky's soul mates
out there,

but in the meantime, how about
a little music to feed your mood?

I should have my head examined
for thinking I could count on Steve.

Well, I kind of pushed you into it.

Yeah, well, it's just one more thing
I wish I would've done differently.

I mean, all along, with you...

I should have been more open.
We should have talked more.

Is that what your therapist
has been telling you?

No, that's what I've been telling him.

I missed you so much.

What happened to the radio?

Hey, what's the big event today?

They asked me to sit in on a luncheon
with some Nobel Laureate.

He has some ideas about improving
science education or something.

Can I come?

Did you talk to Dad
about the Peach Pit?

No, you said not to.

Since when did you start
listening to me?

This is officially the last breakfast.

I have an 8:00 class
three days a week

so from now on, you're on your own.

- We can manage.
- Anyone know where Lindley Hall is?

Lindley Hall. Lind...

Brenda, isn't Lindley Hall
where half your classes are?

It's directly across the quad from
the Student Union. I'll see you there.

Well, if you wanna wait a second,
we can go together.

Oh, you know, I can't.
Donna's picking me up. Bye.

Well, more for us.

She really hates me being there,
doesn't she?

No, Mom, I wouldn't say that.
She did give you the right directions.

Well, that's a start.

And I wouldn't worry about us
getting our own breakfast either.

I think we'll manage.
Nat won't be in the hospital forever.

And well,
we'll always have the Peach Pit.

Listen, I think you should know
Nat's cousin Joey came in to see me.

He's convinced the best thing to do
is to sell the Peach Pit.

- What?
- He couldn't be more wrong, Dad.

After looking at the books,
I'm afraid I'm inclined to agree.

So you're saying it's okay for Joey
to stab Nat in the back?

- You're not really listening...
- I'm not listening to you.

- I'm not really liking what I'm hearing.
- Joey's not the bad guy here.

He happens to be an equal partner
with Nat.

With no money coming in,

the Peach Pit is gonna be
out of business in a matter of weeks.

Joey just wants to make sure that Nat
has something left when he gets out.

Sure. By selling off the one thing
that means anything to him.

What Nat really needs
to concentrate on is getting well.

I'm sure all anyone wants
is what's best for Nat.

Well, then why doesn't somebody
ask him?

Hi, Kel.

Hi, did you see this article
on Brandon?

How could I miss it?
His picture is all over the front page.

So how did it go with Jesse?

It didn't come up.

And it never will come up
unless you say something.

- Kelly, I can't.
- Andrea.

He just received a clerkship
at San Francisco.

What was I supposed to say to him?
Oh, I have a surprise for you too?

So that's that?
You're going it alone?

I'm gonna make an appointment
for next week.

When you were volunteering
at RAPline back in high school,

didn't you ever have any pregnant girls
call up and ask you

how to break it to their boyfriends?

- Yeah.
- And what did you tell them?

To be honest.

Shouldn't you take your own advice?

I don't know.

Dr. Forrest, dial 112, please.

Dr. Forrest, please dial 112.

Hey, you look sharp.

Another power lunch
with the big boys?

Actually with a Nobel Prize winner.
A physicist.

So how you feeling, pal?

You look a little more human.
No more tubes.

Yeah.
They say they're gonna move me

into a semi-private room tomorrow.

Then why you so down?

Looks like
we're gonna sell the Peach Pit.

They talked to you, huh?

Yeah.

I love Joey like a brother
but he's probably right.

But it still hurts.

He's not right.

Who are we kidding?

Every day that place is closed,
it's costing money I don't even have.

And my doctor leveled with me.

There's five risk factors
for heart attacks.

I got them all.

So you'll change your lifestyle
a little bit.

You'll start exercising.
You'll take a few aspirin.

You change your diet.

How about a low-cholesterol menu
at the Peach Pit, huh?

That's not a bad idea.
Not that we're ever gonna do it.

Excuse me.
I need to be alone with him for a while.

- Okay.
- Brando.

Don't worry about the Peach Pit.

Everything will be all right.

All right.

Chin up, Butch.

Hey, David. Where you heading?

I'm going to the radio station

to see if I can get someone
to cover my shift tonight.

- That sounds like a good idea.
- Yeah, well, my shrink thinks so.

- How is that going?
- Well, he says it's all your fault.

Right. When do I get to talk to him?

No, actually, he says it sounds like
I have some pretty nice roommates.

Well, that's more like it.

Well, hey, I've been talking mostly
about Donna,

so don't let it get to your head.

Well, Donna is nice.

Yeah, you know, we actually had fun
together for the first time

since before Christmas.

That's what she said.

Yeah, well,
maybe we'll get back together,

maybe we won't.

But even if we don't, the one
good thing about us not having sex

is that we really have a shot
at just being friends.

And we'll continue not having sex.

- You make everything sound so easy.
- Well, I'm hoping it is.

Just remember.
When Jackie first got off drugs,

she thought everything
was gonna be easy too.

Kelly, whatever you went through
with Jackie, it's not me.

I know.

I just don't want to see you
tumble again, you know?

Yeah, well, I'm only gonna be
at the station for a few minutes

so I should be okay.

- Okay, I'll see you back at the ranch.
- Right.

Silver. Let me guess.

Here to check the complaint calls
from your show last night?

Yeah, well, it won't happen again.

Jackson, I was wondering if maybe
you could cover my shift tonight.

Tonight? I don't think so.

Come on, man,
I've covered for you before.

- All right. If you're really stuck.
- Thanks, man.

Hey, listen, go into Howard's desk

and get the Emergency Response
packet, will you?

It's time for "this is only a test. "

Come in.

- Hey, chief.
- Hi.

Is this a bad time?
Should I have called?

No, Brandon, you know
you're always welcome. Come on in.

Thanks.

So how is Nat doing?

Worse since his cousin started talking
about selling the Peach Pit.

Nat wants to sell the Peach Pit?

No, Nat doesn't wanna sell
the Peach Pit.

Nat's sick and he's scared

and he knows that without
somebody to run the place,

there's not really much good
in holding on to it.

Sounds like the end of an era.

Maybe not.

I'm thinking about running the place
myself.

Brandon,
there has to be another way.

I'm the only person
who knows how to do it.

The problem is,
I just got on this task force

and I wanna meet the president.

But I'm thinking there's a way
I can squeeze it in.

I mean, you'd find a way,
wouldn't you?

Andrea?

Hey, what's the matter?

What's the matter?

Nothing.

Nothing, except that I'm...

Right now,
I'm not able to do anything.

Brandon, I'm pregnant.

You're pregnant?

Last year at this time
I was on my way to Yale.

And now...

Now I'm getting ready
for an abortion.

Andrea, I'm sorry.

How's Jesse with this?

I can't tell him.

You haven't told him? Why not?

I'm afraid of losing him.

I mean,
he's an amazing guy, Brandon.

He's funny, he's smart

and he's got his whole future
ahead of him.

And I don't wanna ruin that.

I love him.

Does he love you?

Yeah.

Well, if he loves you,
he's not gonna leave you.

I mean, if I was Jesse,

I'd want to be the one sitting here
right now.

- KXEO.
- David?

Donna.
How did you know I was here?

I didn't. I was just calling around.

I got worried.
Kelly said you'd be home soon.

Yeah, well, I couldn't get anyone
to cover my shift

so I'm just gonna have
to do it myself.

- Are you sure you can?
- Oh, yeah, I'll be fine.

I'm actually... I'm looking forward
to doing it. It'll be fun.

Do you want me to come
and keep you company?

No. No, listen, you don't have
to keep an eye on me. I'll be okay.

- I'll see you in the morning, okay?
- Okay. Bye.

Getting a jump-start
on the new semester?

I better.
I feel like I'm already 20 years behind.

Well, you're not gonna learn anything
like that.

You need the right equipment.

First, the official Condor pencil.

And your books are gonna need
the proper attire.

You're looking a little
underdressed there.

You know, I mean,
you might get a little chilly.

And always, always, wear a hat.

So...

You're all right with this?

Now I am.

Look, Mom...

It's a big campus.

I'll try not to cramp your style.

All right, forget it!
I'm sorry I even brought it up.

Oh, that's it, walk away. Very adult.

Okay, all right, Mr. Walsh,
it's your dime.

I've got nothing else to say.

So that's it?

You're gonna drop out of school,

you're gonna give up the task force
so you can run the diner?

How many times do I have to tell you,
I'm not dropping out, I'll fit it in.

You can choose to do something
incredibly stupid with your life

and I can't stop you.

But I'm not gonna let you
walk around in a dream world.

If it was a full-time job for Nat,
it's going to be a full-time job for you.

I'm not gonna let Nat down.
It's that simple.

What is it about the Peach Pit

that always leads
to these kind of arguments?

You wanna know what it is?
I'll tell you what it is.

Nat is the only person I know
that has never disappointed me.

- That's not fair.
- Yeah, well, that's the way I feel.

Now, if you'll excuse me,
I got to get up early tomorrow.

Hey.

Hey, come on in.

It's my old roommate from Yale.

Yeah, at least I got San Francisco
and not Boise.

I don't mind breaking ground

but have you ever tried finding
a decent chimichanga in Idaho?

You know what I mean? Yeah.

Yeah.

What's that?

Listen, Peter,
I'm gonna have to call you back.

Yeah. Yeah, thanks.
All right, see you.

Andrea.

This is hard enough, okay?
So just let me say it.

I'm pregnant.

I wrote it on this piece of paper
in case I lose...

In case I lost my nerve
to tell you again.

I kept telling myself on the way here,

that I'd know exactly how you felt
about me by the first thing you did.

Hey.

How I felt about you?

I thought you already knew.

So with one hour left in the show,
I'm feeling tingly all over. Why?

Because I am made
of charged particles

traveling at the speed of light.

So here I am, trying to keep
trillions of particles moving

at 186,000 miles per second.

Because if they slow down
for a millisecond, I'm dead.

And my shrink wonders
why I'm on edge?

Wake up and smell
the mochaccino, man.

- Sorry about the noise.
- What was that?

I don't know, Mexican death rock
or something.

You having problems getting up?

I'm not sure I even went to sleep.

Brandon, look, is there anything
that I can do to help?

No. And, yes,
I would tell you if there was.

Don't tell Dad I asked you this,
but am I insane?

No. Not for helping Nat.

And believe me,
I'd tell you if you were.

Good.

I just wanted to be sure.

I'm sorry,
we're not open for business yet.

So when do we open for business?

Steve?

What are you doing here, man?

- Hey, guys.
- Heard you needed a hand.

- How did you know about this?
- How do you think?

Should've known.

- Thanks, sis.
- You're welcome.
