all that lives in the seas

against the forces of evil.

King of the Seven Seas.

[instrumental music]

[whoosh]



Deep in the ocean depths

a strange submarine craft
with a bat-wing shape

of a manta ray
glides soundlessly

as if stalking its prey.

Within its sleek black hull

a crew of fearsome Manta Men
led by Black Manta

Aquaman's arch foe

sets a lethal trap
for the King of the Seas.

What is Aquaman's position now?

Our sonar indicates
he is coming into scanner range.

(Black Manta)
'There they are.'

Activate the Whale's
Brain Scrambler now!

thud thud thud



[Tusky barking]

- What's the matter, Aquaman?
- I don't know.

The fish are trying
to tell me something.

[dramatic music]

Look!

A whale running berserk.

Don't worry, I'll handle him.

Instantly
from the Sea King's brain

telepathic commands radiate
toward the giant sea creature.

Don't waste your effort,
Aquaman.

[evil laugh]

Your tele-commands
can't get through

my electronic impulses
to the whale.

[whale screeching]

Oh, dear.

Can't understand why that whale
didn't heed my command.

[whale screeching]

Here he comes again.

(Aquaman)
Watch out!

Move, Mera, fast!

[neighing]

[screaming]

[Tusky barking]

- Mera's safe in there.
- Yes, but we're not, tadpole.

Holy hurricanes, Aquaman,
look there!

(Aquaman)
'Oh-oh. That's Black Manta's
Sea Saucer.'

long enough.

Now to turn up all the juice.

(Aquaman)

on Black Manta's ship.'

(Aqualad)
'There's one on the whale too.'

That's what's making
this whale berserk.

I'll soon fix that.

Within seconds,
the Sea King's command reaches

a great hammerhead shark
cruising nearby.

That infernal Aquaman.

He's broken my control.

Attack them, Manta-Men.
Destroy them.

[whirring]

- Go, Storm!
- Come on, Imp!

[Manta-Men screeching]

[dramatic music]

Behind you, Aqualad!

Attaboy, Imp.

I'll take care of those
two marine marvels myself.

Look out, Aqualad.

[whooshing]

Mumbling morays!
A trapway.

- We're trapped.
- Fight, tadpole. Ugh!

[Manta-Men screeching]

[grunts]

[evil laugh]

The Seven Seas
are now mine to plunder.

- Not yet.

Once more, another of Aquaman's
loyal sea creatures

obeys his silent orders.

(Aquaman)
'Watch its poison go to work.'

- We're free.
- Let's go!

[neighing]

(Aqualad)
'Aquaman, what's that ahead?'

- Looks like a..
- A net of coral.

More of Black Manta's work.

But, but what is it for?

(Aquaman)
It's a trap for ships.

I'll summon the sawfish.

Ah, here comes a fat ship

right into my web.

Aquaman? Cutting my coral net!

Quickly, destroy them!

[dramatic music]

Steady, Aqualad.

Now, close them in.

[Storm neighing]

Keep going, Storm.

Attaboy, Storm.

'That wraps them up, Aquaman.'

But here comes more trouble.

in that blind canyon.

[Storm and Imp neighing]

Now I'll crush them!

(Aquaman)

I'll get him.'

Let's see how you fight
without your fancy weapon.

golden hair.

and the Scarlet Streak.

(male narrator)
A strange drill-nosed craft
streaks out of space

torpedoes down and bores
beneath the Earth's crust.

Now another spaceship
breaks through the atmosphere.

The Rock Men. They went
straight down into the Earth.

Continue pursuit.

We Crystal Men
must destroy them

before they get us.

A short while later
far below Earth's surface..

Weapons ready for testing.

No time to lose.

Commence test now!

From the Rock Men's
weird weapons

electrodes pierce the terrain

emanating beams
of magnetic energy

attracting meteors and comets

which rain down on Earth.

[instrumental music]

Within seconds

the Justice League
is in action.

Hawkman, you find the source
of those magnetic rays.

Roger, Superman.

Green Lantern, let's you and I
destroy that space junk.

Let's go!

Circling the planet

the Man of Steel
and the Cosmic Crusader

go into action
against the deadly shower

of lethal matter from space.

Hawkman scans the terrain
from the sky when suddenly..

Hmm, my hunch says

that spaceship's homing in
on my target.

Hawkman to Flash and Atom

intercept
approaching spacecraft.

'Vicinity of quadrant Z-4,
coordinate 6.'

At once, Flash and the Atom

two more Justice League
champions respond.

There it comes, Atom.

Great neutrons, Flash.
It's going to bore down under.

Hang on, squirt.

[rumbling]

Stop this boring action.

- 'He's stopping the ship!'
- 'Stop him! Stop him!'

- 'Get a hold of him.'
- 'Hey, hold on to him.'

What are these characters up to?

We are Crystal Men from Mercury.

We have no quarrel with you.

We come to destroy our enemies,
the Rock people.

If you Crystal Men didn't cause

The Rock Men were testing
their apparatus.

the nuclear core of Mercury.

the whole solar system.

- We've got to prevent that.

Green Lantern,
you'd better get to Mercury

and destroy that nuclear core.

'You, Hawkman, get to your ship'

'and intercept that beam
if necessary.'

And if possible.

I'll go find those Rock Men

hopefully before they fire
their beam.

Go, men, go!
We'll guard these Crystal Men.

[whooshing]

Tearing down
through Earth's crust

the Man of Steel torpedoes
through layers of rock

hoping to prevent
a galactic holocaust.

back on neutral ground

the warring factions agree
to a lasting peace.

Atlantis will be crippled

[explosion]

[glass shattering]

Now from Aquaman's brain

telepathic emanations
span out through the deep

summoning a giant sea turtle.

You'll have to bring help
from Atlantis, Aqualad

while I track down
those Reptile Men.

Check, Aquaman.

Go, Storm, go!

Guided by watery denizens

who have seen the route
taken by the Reptile Men

Aquaman soon reaches
a remote tunnel

in the ocean floor.

Down streaks the Sea King
through the Earth's core

finally to emerge

in a vast
subterranean air pocket.

Fantastic.

An underground civilization
of Reptile people.

Take him, quickly!
The steel net.

Whoa! Oh!

Now nothing shall stop us
from over throwing Atlantis-s.

We know that for you

one full hour away
from water means death.

So farewell, Aquaman.

[evil laugh]

Storm, go find Aqualad.

'Hurry, Storm.'

As the telepathic message
reaches him

Aquaman's faithful steed
streaks off to find help.

(Aquaman)
'Hurry, Storm.'

Starting to get...weak.'

[Storm neighing]

Lead the way, big fella. Go!

[dramatic music]

Suffering catfish!

He's tied up out of water!

Just another few seconds.

[grunts]

to cover our retreat.

[dramatic music]

out of the pool!

Once more, telepathic waves

reach the sea above

bringing a pair of whales.

(Aquaman)
Head for the coast boulders.

Those Reptile Men will never
get past that barricade.

(Aqualad)
That's for sure.

Okay, squirt, let's go home.
