Alien Highway (2019–…): Season 1, Episode 8 - Arizona Anomalies - full transcript

A recent UFO sighting in Phoenix leads Chuck and the team to Sedona, AZ, where these kinds of incidents occur on a nightly basis. They investigate whether the area's energy vortexes are acting as portals for otherworldly visitors.

Next on "Alien Highway"...

Sedona is a mecca
for paranormal activity.

Somebody in
the higher echelons

of our government

understands
what's going on here.

I saw this bright light.

Over 10,000 people
saw these phenomena.

Military guys just come up
out of nowhere.

Do you believe that
the federal government

may be hiding
what's going on?

Oh, sure.
Yes.

What was that?

That's a helicopter.

Yeah, right there.

Holy ****
Where'd it go?

They know we're here.

There's something
happening across our land.

It's carving a terrifying path.

Right there.
- Whoa! Whoa!

Lawmen don't want
to talk about it...

I have no idea how you
would explain that.

...and the government denies
it's even happening.

The White House has dismissed

a full UFO investigation.

Those who speak up
face ridicule or even worse.

An El Paso County
sheriff's deputy

fired from his job.

They took my badge,
but they can't take my voice.

I'm determined to
uncover what's happening.

Look at that thing!
Do you see that?

I saw it that night.

I listen to people
who are afraid to speak out.

Nobody is
gonna believe me.

I find evidence
that's hiding in plain sight.

This is it right here.

Together with my son
Dan Zukowski...

It's absolutely
moving right now.

...and investigator
Heather Taddy...

We never
really get this close.

...I'm here to find the truth...

I see it!

...along America's
Alien Highway.

Arizona is home

to the striking landscape
of the Grand Canyon

as well as 20
Indian reservations.

It's also no stranger
to UFO encounters.

What's that?

Every year, over 300 sightings
are reported statewide.

Something bizarre
happened in the skies

over Phoenix last night,

and so far,
no one can explain it.

That's over 6,000 encounters

in the past 20 years.

Phoenix ranks as the
number-one city for UFO reports,

raising the question --

What makes Arizona
such a hot spot for UFOs,

and what is the purpose
of their frequent visits?

So you guys have heard

of the 1997 March 13th
Phoenix light incident?

Yeah, it was
a pretty big deal.

Well, we have another sighting
in the same area.

What type of sighting?

It was a high-altitude
commercial-pilot sighting.

Oh.
Oh.

Sweet, so he's a pilot.

He's been a commercial pilot
for a while now,

but I believe he's got some
military flying experience also.

Oh, okay.He's been trained
to observe.

He's a credible witness
at this point.

Now we get an opportunity
to find out

from a pilot's point of view
about UFO sightings.

If they have sightings,

they generally
don't come forward.

They're afraid
of being ridiculed,

or they're afraid
of some type of backlash.

I mean, he's putting
his job at risk,

his reputation.

Blen Green,
nice to meet you.

- Nice to meet you, too.
- What did you see?

It was February
the 24th of last year.

We were going
from San Diego to DFW.

It was the middle
of the afternoon,

bright, beautiful day.

We were, I think,
35,000 or 37,000 feet.

There was a general aviation
jet in front of us,

and we heard this jet
in front of us ask

Albuquerque Center,

"Hey, you know, what plane
just flew over the top of us?"

And Albuquerque Center said,
"We have nothing on radar."

So then Albuquerque
Center asked me.

Maybe a minute later, you know,
I saw this...

the best way to describe
it is a bright light.

I mean, I've been flying jets
since 1987.

I've never seen anything
like it, ever.

When you're at 35,000 feet,
generally,

you're above most of the clouds.

So I mean, there's sunshine,
you know?

I mean, it's bright, and for
something to be that bright,

in the middle of the day,
it's pretty phenomenal.

So it wasn't some reflection
on it, then?

It was actually emitting
its own light?

Yes.
Yeah.

- Not a flare, not a star.
- No.

Do flares even operate
at that altitude for...

From another airplane?

Yeah, but a flare is gonna
burn out pretty quickly.

Yeah.

What about
a high-altitude drone?

No, a drone is not gonna be
as big as another airliner,

and it's not gonna be
emitting that light either.

Most pilots are afraid to talk
about what they've seen,

let alone go public.

Most pilots are probably
just reluctant

to say something

just because of the stigma
attached to it.

I feel okay talking about it
because it's documented.

Four other pilots saw it
in two different aircrafts.

I would just like to know
what we saw.

Nobody ever came in, you know,
in an official capacity

from the government or FAA
or anything.

Nobody ever came
and asked me what I saw.

Well, would you think it would
be a national security thing

if there was something
flying up there?

You would think, right?

I think it's pretty odd

that you
have this credible captain

reporting to the
air-traffic controller

that they now have seen
the same object

that another pilot has seen,

and then they're just, like,
nonchalant about it.

"Oh, okay, cool."

And then they just
keep flying.

Like, I don't understand that.

Did that experience
change your views on UFOs?

In the past, if somebody
said they saw a UFO,

I might, you know, go,
"Right, whatever."

Mm-hmm.

But now
I wouldn't discount it.

I actually know a couple
of people in Colorado

that saw the same thing
that you saw,

but they saw it
from the ground.

It was the same day?It was the same day.

If it's okay with you,
I'd like to Skype them

real quick,
have you talk with them.

Yeah, sure.

It's okay?
Yeah.

I'm Blen, Blenus Green.
How are you?

I'm Pat Staffieri,
and this Maria.

I am Maria Staffieri.

Nice to meet you.

Go ahead and describe
your sighting.

Well, we were up
on Interstate 10,

and we were heading
in a westerly direction.

It was just a bright light,

and it was about 7 miles
when we first saw it,

and we kept heading west,
and it never moved.

It can't be an airplane.

There's no blinking lights,
and it was a large light.

And it just hovered there.

There were people standing

on the side of the roads,
looking up.

Really?

It was approximately 2:00
to 3:00 when we saw it.

I think
it was late afternoon.

Okay.

And it was just
like you said.

It was just this bright light,
and it was weird

because it was bright
all the way around it.

So normally, you know,

if the sun
is hitting something,

the reflection of the sun
is gonna be brighter

than the backside.

Well, this thing,
the backside

was just as bright
as the front side.

All the way around,

it was just one
constant brightness.

That's exactly correct.

That's exactly what we saw.

Yes.
- Yeah.

What I really liked
about Captain Blenus' report

was not only do
we have a pilot

that saw something
30,000 feet up,

but now we have two eyewitnesses
that saw it from ground level.

That really validates
this UFO sighting.

Wow, that's a lot of information
to download right there.

Four pilots saw it.

And not only that,
but...

and then two more people
from the ground saw it.

Well, that light
had to be bright.

So it was bright enough
that the people

from the ground
could see it, too.

And let's not forget
where we are.

This is Phoenix.

This is
a really hot area.

Heather, I think what
we need to do

is do a little research
on the Phoenix lights...

Yeah.

...and see it it correlates
with what the pilot saw.

What are you
thinking, Dan?

I want to get with the tower,
and I want to figure out

where exactly those planes
were at,

get their coordinates,
their exact altitude,

exact time of day.

Maybe between what you get
and what we get,

we can kind of figure out

where these things
are coming from.

I bet there's more up
there than we think.

Well, that's what we're here
to find out.

We've got a lot of work
ahead of us,

so let's go do it.

One of the witnesses
to the 1997 Phoenix Lights

is Dr. Lynne Kitei.

Her documentary on the event
is screening at a local theater,

and she's agreed
to meet with the team.

Dr. Lynne, I want to
learn what really happened

with the Phoenix Lights.

March 13th, what was
so impactful

was that thousands of people
were purposely outside,

looking up...

They were oval-shaped,
like an egg on its side.

The light did not extend
outside the edge.

It was self-contained,

and I thought,
"Wow, an actual craft."

It was just the most
awesome sight I ever saw.

I thought, "Geez, I've got
to get a picture of this

or no one
is gonna believe it."

I started clicking away.

And immediately noticed
an eerie silence.

It actually felt that
something was watching me.

We've seen
special-operations people

show up
armed to the teeth.

Hey, guys.
I've got a helicopter coming in.

I just saw something
over there.

There are currently

hundreds of eyewitnesses
coming forward

in an event now known
as the Phoenix Lights.

It was just the most
awesome sight I ever saw.

I thought, "Geez, I've got
to get a picture of this

or no one
is gonna believe it."

I started clicking away.

And immediately noticed
an eerie silence.

It actually felt that something
was watching me.

It was unnerving.
I started to shake.

I thought, "What is this,
a mother ship or a fleet?"

I mean, it was massive.

There were jets sent out
to intercept

one of these
mile-wide craft.

As they approached,
the lights started to dim

as they got
a little closer.

The entire thing blinked out
and disappeared.

When the Phoenix Lights
happened,

what did the local
authorities say?

After the mass sighting,
there was no investigation.

But we're talking over
10,000 people,

at least that's estimated,
that saw these phenomena.

And a month later, I get a call
from one of the PR heads

from the Air National Guard,
and she goes, "Oh, Dr. Lynne,

I think we know what those
lights were back in March."

You know, she says to me
that the Air National Guard

was in town setting off flares
in Operation "Snowbird,"

which I later found out
meant diversion

or tactical maneuvers
in military terms,

which, hey, they may have
been sending off flares,

but there's not one witness
that has described

any of the flare
characteristics.

It seems like
it's a cover-up.

Exactly.

In May,
former Councilwoman

Vice Mayor Frances Barwood
asked,

"Why isn't there
an investigation?"

She was plastered
by the media,

and there was so much ridicule
and snickering.

When real people are
actually seeing these things,

experiencing these things,

why does the media
make fun of this?

Some people can't deal
with this topic.

Yes.

Some people
don't want to.

And that was one of the
big reasons I came forward,

not only to set
the record straight,

get the data out there,

let people know
they're not crazy.

It's important to share
and not let it fester

when you have
an experience like this.

You've lived in the area
for a long time.

Have you heard of any other
sightings like this before?

Oh, yes.

What's really interesting
is there are Navajo Rangers,

law enforcement.

They have come forward
to acknowledge

that they are happening,
and they need to be studied.

It'd be great
if we could interview

one of the Navajo contacts
that she has.

Oh, absolutely.

While Chuck and Heather

conclude their interview
with Dr. Lynne,

Dan gathers information from
the Albuquerque Control Tower.

My name is Dan Zukowski.

I have some questions
about how you guys operate

when it comes
to your flight patterns.

If I wanted to actually
get information

pertaining to a certain day,
is that possible?

Okay.

Took some digging,
but I was able to obtain

Captain Blenus' flight pattern
for the day.

I'm hoping that's gonna
help us determine

where that craft
was coming from.

Meanwhile, Chuck
reaches out

to Dr. Lynne's contact,

a retired Navajo Ranger
who has been investigating

UFO sightings
for over 10 years.

Navajo Rangers protect

and patrol
tribal historical sights

in the Southwestern
United States.

I appreciate the opportunity
to talk to you.

I couldn't wait
for this interview

because I was pretty excited
to talk with a Navajo Ranger.

I had heard at least
some of them

were talking about
having UFO sightings.

Have you personally
seen anything?

Many, many times.

I've seen orbs.

I was followed by one.

The orb that
was following me

was about the size
of a basketball

at about 2:00
in the morning.

It followed me right down
the middle of the highway

for about 35 miles.

It continued to parallel
my course,

and then it just faded out
and disappeared.

Wow.

In my work, you rely
on your sixth sense,

and all the flags
went up during that time,

and I got this feeling

that it didn't mean me
any good.

Were you hesitant to talk
about your sightings

while you were active
law enforcement?

Back in 2000,
during that time,

the police department

didn't want to handle
those cases,

and they ridiculed the people
that reported them.

My director
instructed us

that we will
take these cases.

We will take them seriously
and investigate them

the best of our ability.

For 11 years, we investigated
these type of cases.

Have you ever had anybody
from the federal government

try to intervene
in your investigations?

We have a long history
of distrust

of the U.S. government.

We've seen special-operations
people show up

after some of
our investigations.

We've seen flights
of black helicopters

flying over the area.

We had a black Cadillac
Escalade show up.

Guy comes out.

He's armed to the teeth,
wearing battle dress uniform.

Then he opens up the back.

He takes out what looks
like an ice chest,

opens the ice chest,
and smoke came out of it.

So I'm thinking dry ice.

He picks up something
off the ground,

puts it inside
and then drives off.

You believe that the federal
government may be hiding

what's going on, you know,
at least in your area?

Oh, sure.
Yes.

Why is Arizona
so active?

I think that there's
some kind of vortex

that's in Sedona

where we have
a lot of sightings.

Things seem to pop in.

The vortex is a really
interesting theory.

We had these lights as large
as an airplane appearing

and disappearing
right over them,

so that's one explanation
why something so big

can just vanish instantly.

After gathering data

from the Albuquerque
Control Tower,

Dan reunites with the team
to share his findings.

So I made contact
with Albuquerque Center,

and I was able to get
some information from them.

Based off of what Captain Blenus
had seen and where he'd seen it,

it looks like
it's coming from Sedona.

That's exactly
where the Rangers

had their sightings.

It looks like Sedona
is where we need to go.

Did you just see the flash
over there?

It just disappeared.

I got a helicopter coming in.

After interviewing

multiple UFO witnesses
in Phoenix,

Chuck has pinpointed Sedona
as a possible epicenter

of these mysterious sightings.

The presence of vortexes
in Sedona could explain

why this is such
a hot spot for UFOs.

Physicist Pete Sanders
has been investigating

the phenomenon for decades.

The vortex is an enhanced
energy site

that makes it easier
to dimensions beyond.

Is there any instrument,
like an EMF meter,

that can detect
a vortex?

We can't use
current technology

to measure the vortexes

because the energy flows
are probably

in the dimensions
beyond...

that superstrings physics
says now everybody exists in.

Superstrings physics
basically says,

everything exists in 10
or more dimensions.

So vortex, you can tap
dimensions beyond

and maybe even connect
with extradimensional beings.

Hmm.

I think a lot of people seem
to think of a vortex

as sort of tornado.

Is that accurate?

It's not measurable
like a wind tornado,

but there's a lot of things

that aren't as physically
tangible as wind,

like electromagnetic
radio-wave signals

or, you know,
pulses from the stars.

They were existing even
before we could measure them,

so, too, these energy flows
and these deeper dimensions

are not currently measurable
with our current technology.

Aliens, then,
could be using vortexes.

Correct.

There's something coming in
and out of this area

and traveling
across Arizona.

The Phoenix Lights probably
came over this area, too,

back in 1997.

They might be using it
to help communicate

by the veil
being pierced a little bit.

While vortexes cannot
be seen or measured,

witnesses repeatedly link them

to the presence
of UFOs in Sedona.

Native Americans have been
documenting encounters

with extraterrestrials
for thousands of years,

reporting mysterious
celestial beings

that are able to manifest
as spheres of light.

Could it be that these craft
are back,

trying to communicate
with modern society?

The team will now be meeting
with a Sedona local

who's been documenting sightings
for the last decade.

So the first thing
is Bear Mountain,

right in front of us.

All of the Sedona locals
will tell you

that's a well-known
UFO hot spot.

And if you go behind
Bear Mountain,

that road is gonna
dead-end to Bradshaw Ranch.

And what's
at Bradshaw Ranch?

Something happen there?

So I have seen all kinds
of things at Bradshaw Ranch,

from UFOs
to black helicopters

going in and out of there,
weird encounters.

A lot of people
will tell you,

they could just be hiking
anywhere around Bear Mountain,

and all of a sudden,
military guys in full gear

and automatic weapons
just come up out of nowhere,

tell them to turn around
and leave

and then just
kind of disappear.

What it sounds like, there's
a lot of stuff going on here,

so it would make sense
that there is military here.

The people that have been
confronting these hikers,

do you think they're connected
to the government?

Some type of government,
probably not the ones

that we think of
as government.

The lights and the craft you see
are in this area right here?

Yeah, Bear Mountain a lot,
Secret Mountain Wilderness,

a little bit on
Wilson Mountain.

So we see a lot of ships
go in and out.

I've got pictures of everything
that I've seen out here,

so I will share them
with you.

So here is a little flyby.

- Huh.
- That's interesting.

Right over there,
Bear Mountain.

So right over there,
Bear Mountain.

Right here is the ships
coming out of Bear.

Now that looks like...

They almost look like
just floating light bulbs.

- Yeah.
- Yeah, that's weird.

That looks bright, okay.
That's what I want to see.

- Whoa.
- Yeah, that's the stuff.

That's what
I'm talking about.

If there's one spot
on that mountain

where there's a lot of activity,
where is it at?

There are several
hot spots,

but I'd need infrared laser
to point them out.

Yeah, we can mark that.

But it won't work
during the day.

Okay, let's set up
for a night watch.

So are we gonna see
anything tonight?

If the sky clears up,
absolutely.

If I flash
the laser at them,

and they flash back,
that's communication.

- That would be interesting.
- Yeah, oh, yeah.

- Yeah.
- Yeah, we want that.

Yeah.

We know that there's something
going on in the area

based on all
the military presence, but why?

What are they monitoring?

Alright, Anita.

What's the game plan
for tonight?

Well, we can all put
our superpowers together

and get the sky
to clear.

That would be awesome.

So this down here,
this is Bear Mountain.

A lot of the contact
that I have made

has been that area
right there.

To the left of there,
there are no roads,

and there are no houses,

so it's really dark
in that area.

A lot of times,
we'll see slow movement.

Like, all of a sudden,
there will be a light

on top of Bear,
and it will just slowly move.

Sometimes it'll disappear,

and sometimes
it'll flash back.

Well, we do have a lot
of cloud cover,

which is unfortunate
for us right now,

but behind me,
I'm starting to see

a couple of stars peek out.Oh, yeah?

I can see one star
in front of us.

Yeah, so I think the clouds
are gonna start to move.

But here's an airplane.

So you can see planes
have blinking lights,

consistent
blinking lights.

So we're not gonna be
mistaking anything for a plane.

Was someone shining
a light over there?

- No.
- No.

I just saw...

It almost looked like
a white light appeared,

and then it went away
super quick.

Where?

Are you looking at it
through the night vision?

No, I was looking
with my naked eye.

Did it...Were you guys
shining a light over there?

- No.
- That was weird.

Hey, guys, come over
here. I see that light source.

Right here, right here, guys.

We're in the middle of a
mountain range right there.

That wasn't in the sky.

Yeah, there.
Right there.

- Okay, yeah.
- There!

Okay, yep.
I just saw that **** too.

It's exactly what I saw!

Yep.

Right...
Oh, it disappeared.

Did you guys get that on film?

- Yeah, I got it.
- It just disappeared.

That was ****
weird, no.

No, that was weird.

Where did that light go?

It looked like

a light from over there
was shining,

almost like a car light,

but there's no cars over there.
- Hmm.

What's that light?
Oh, that's...

That's a helicopter.

Hey, guys, I've got a helicopter
coming in.

What's a helicopter
doing here now?

There's no reason
for a helicopter

to be out at nighttime

unless it's search
and rescue.

And if it were that,

he'd have a light
down on the mountains.

It's moving pretty quick.

That sounds military.

Hey, guys, I've got
a helicopter coming in...

- Who's got...
- To the left.

It's right behind Dan.

What's a helicopter
doing here now?

There's no reason
for a helicopter

to be out at nighttime.

Here, you want to look
at this, Dan?

Maybe you might be able to I.D.
it better than me.

Hmm.
It's not a Black Hawk.

So it looks like
a military helicopter,

but I don't see
any markings on it.

That's kind of suspicious.

Where he goes...

While conducting
a night watch

in the Sedona mountains,

the team witnesses
an unidentified light in the sky

followed by the appearance
of a mysterious helicopter.

There's a lot of things
we saw tonight,

and there were a couple of
things that I couldn't identify.

We all three saw something,
that one.

I mean, once again, it was a...
- Yeah, that was weird.

It was a flash of light.
- Right.

But you know what?

What I saw tonight tells me
that this is the right area.

It really is.

We need to do some more research
to find out what houses

are over there, what power
sources are over there,

if you can, in fact,
drive a vehicle up in that area.

I want to get close to the area
where we saw the lights

and get a perspective
from over there.

Yeah.

Get on the ground
and do some groundwork.

We need to figure out
what's back there.

Yeah, absolutely.

Following an eventful night

of unexplained activity
in the Sedona mountains,

the team meets with a local

whose extensive knowledge on the
history of the Bradshaw Ranch

might prove a connection
to the area's UFO activity.

So what can you tell us
about the Bradshaw Ranch?

Well, I have cowboyed not far
from there

for a couple of years,
to the west of there,

and I'm a professional
guide in the area.

The Bradshaw Ranch

was once privately owned
by Bob Bradshaw,

and he operated out there,
cattle for years.

The Forest Service started
trying to push him off

using environmental law

and trying to get
ahold of that ranch,

and no one really
understood why.

Eventually, the Forest Service
pushed him and pushed him,

and they ended up
selling out,

and now
it's under lock and key.

No one goes out there,
and no one goes in there.

Now mid-to-late '90s,

there was a rash of people
coming in contact

with what would
be described as soldiers.

Private security?

Possibly, yeah.

Why would
the U.S. Forest Service

need that type
of security?

I don't know.
That's a good question.

Have you heard reports
of government vehicles

going in and out
of that area?

There's military
vehicles, tanks,

Bradleys that were
unloaded off a train

that disappeared up into
the wall of Pine Mountain Range.

The gentleman I interviewed
was a prospector in Kingman,

and when he went
to look at the area,

he saw this train
parked with,

like, 90 cars on it,
he said, just full of tanks

and military Hummers
and Bradleys and whatnot.

And when he came back
two hours later,

the cars were there,
but all the equipment was gone.

And I followed
the tracks.

It went up a wash,

right up into the wall
of Pine Mountain Range.

There's no history
of them

doing military maneuvers
in that area?

Nope.
And he went home,

and he looked on his map
of where he could prospect,

and that whole area
had been blacked out.

It was now
government property.

90 vehicles is, like,
a brigade combat team.

It was an orchestrated
operation.

So something
is drawing the UFOs

either to this area
or there's a base there.

So there's rumors of tunnels
under the entire area.

Sedona has been known
since the '50s

as being a mecca
for paranormal activity.

Whatever is going on
at the Bradshaw Ranch,

somebody up in the higher
echelons of our government

understands
what's going on here.

We've interviewed
a lot of witnesses,

a lot of people who've
seen sightings in this area.

We've heard about
underground bases,

military presence,
vortexes.

We actually saw lights
in the sky.

Everything we've heard,
everything we've seen

is pointing towards
Bear Mountain

where
the Bradshaw Ranch is.

That's where
I want to go.

We know
that there's been

a strong
military presence there.

There's also rumors

that there's an interdimensional
window there

that all this activity
passes through.

So it seems like
a pretty active place.

I wonder what it is

about Bradshaw Ranch
and Bear Mountain

that draws
all this activity.

Like, what is it
about that area?

Well, if Bear Mountain is
the stem of the activity

since it's near
Bradshaw Ranch,

I think I need to get up there
and check out the mountain.

It's super slippery right here,
so be careful.

I'm sorry, guys.
I just saw something over there.

What'd you see?

It looked like a dark shadow
flying through the trees.

After meeting
with multiple UFO witnesses,

the team has learned of
a strong military presence

in Sedona centered
around two locations --

Bear Mountain
and Bradshaw Ranch.

There's
military-type people

up in
that mountain range.

There's stuff going on
up there.

That's where
we need to to be.

You want to go up
that mountain?

Oh, yeah.

I need to take a couple
of cameramen and do a recon,

try to find
some of these tunnels

that we've been
hearing about,

anything that doesn't
look man-made.

While you're doing that,

there's another witness
that we want to talk to.

She's over
by Bradshaw Ranch.

I think we should interview her
and then kind of scout

that whole area out to see
if we can find anything.

That's a good plan.
Let's do it.

Alright.
Let's do it.

The Bradshaw Ranch is located

4.2 miles north
of Bear Mountain.

There were some claims
about a military base

or some sort of base
inside the mountain,

so I've only got a couple hours
of light left

so get as high up
there as we can.

See if there's any openings.

In an effort to
explain the strange lights

the team saw in the mountains,

Dan will scale the peak
in search of any structures,

lights or hidden tunnels.

There's one thing
I can already see --

There's no houses up here.

There's no street lights,
no cars.

Think we're making our own path
right now,

so we've got to get moving.

Dan,
what's your status?

We're about 200 yards or so
from the base of the mountain.

Alright.
How far are you going up?

I want to get to the top.

Alright.
Be careful.

Check back
in the next 15.

Copy.

You want to go
down this way?

Yeah, we're about what,
5 minutes out?

Yeah,
we're pretty close.

It's super slippery around here,
so be careful.

Almost hand in cactus.

This might be
a stopping point for us.

Dad, this is Dan.

Hey, what's up, Dan?

I'm at a stopping point here.

I'm about, I don't know,

15 feet from the top,
but I can't get to it.

There's just cliffs.

Do you see anything
unusual up there?

Yeah, so we've got a couple
of little cave things up here.

I mean, they could be something.

A cave?

Can you get to it?

Nah, I can't get it
from here.

It's too far away.

It's on the ridge
right across from me,

but I can't get to it.

Alright.
Copy that.

There's nothing man-made
up here.

There's no houses,
no electricity, no lights.

There are some caves, though.

I think we have a mystery
on our hands.

I can't explain
what we saw last night.

Hey, Dan.

If things get interesting
at the Bradshaw Ranch,

we may be a little late,

so let's just meet back
at the truck.

Copy.
We did our recon up here.

We're heading down now.

Copy that.

Chuck and Heather
meet with another Sedona local

who is very familiar with
the mysterious Bradshaw Ranch.

Northern Arizona
University leased the land.

Oh, it's interesting that
there's security cameras...

Oh, yeah.
...up there.

I can see them.
Yep.

That's probably to keep
everybody off the property.

And the speculation that
this whole idea

of the university
being here

is another cover-up for what
may actually be happening

or still investigating
by the government or other.

In 2003, the Bradshaw Ranch
was purchased

by the government
from Bob Bradshaw.

It became famous for its
unexplained phenomena

and recurring UFO sightings,

and now it's rumored to be
under government surveillance.

Have you talked to anybody
from the university

that's actually
been here?

No, I have not.

I'm just wondering
if that's a cover-up

or there
actually is people

from the university
working that area.

Well, based on
what you see out here,

something is happening,

but we don't know for certain
that people are here 24-7.

There have been
any odd occurrences

that you've heard of?Yes.

When I first moved to Sedona,
the first story that I heard

about Bradshaw was of
a Forestry Service ranger.

He knows this land
inside--

He knew it
inside out.

There's no reason for him
to disappear,

but that's, in fact,
what happened.

He came out here, probably
to check on something,

and never returned.

And they never found him. They never found him.

What about
military presence?

Have people seen any type
of military presence here?

Yes.

When I was with my boyfriend
at the time,

we just did
a roundabout thing,

and we didn't even go
through the front.

We went through the back
and got on to the property,

and we were accosted
by, like, three or four,

I can't remember exactly,
military...

I don't really know for sure
if they were military

because they actually
had white on.

White?
Yeah.

Did they order you off,
or did they tell you to go?

They asked us what we were
doing there, basically,

and, you know, hiking.

And they told us,

"No, you need to turn around
and head back."

They didn't say why?Nope, wouldn't tell us.

No reason at all.
You didn't ask?

No, they had the big...

ARs?
Like an AR-15 or...?

I'm not familiar
with the names of them,

but I know that
it was just big gun.

I mean, why would they be
out here with guns?

I know.

I couldn't tell you.

What puzzles me is,
why here?

Why this ranch?

Why the security cameras?

Why is this closed off?

You're amongst a lot of us

that would like to have
that answer.

So who are they monitoring
by the camera?

Us or something
inside the ranch?

I think it's both.

What was that?
The windmill?

But the windmill
is over here.

I thought the windmill
was over there.

Sounds like a fence
being opened or something.

It sure sounded like
something metallic moving.

I'm sorry, guys.
I just saw something over there.

What'd you see?

It looked like
a dark shadow

flying through the trees
and then down.

What was that?

I'm sorry, guys.
I just saw something over there.

What'd you see?

It looked like
a dark shadow

flying through the trees
and then down.

And you saw it just
right through there?

Just right between these
two trees in the back

towards the mountain
with the snow on it.

Oh, my gosh.

Lina, where is
the entrance to the ranch?

Like, is there a gate
or something?

Yes, it's actually

just to the right
of where we came in.

I want to go see where
that sound came from.

I'm really curious.

Can we get through this way?

Oh, there's a fence.

I just want to rattle
this real quick

and see if that could've
been the sound.

I don't know.

I can't re-create that sound,
and I want to know what it was.

I want to know
what that sound was.

It could've been something
inside, too.

That's weird.

It looks like there's
a camera facing the ground.

I don't understand why
they would have a camera

facing the ground.

That's kind of weird.

Let me see what's this way.

Oh, yeah,
there's another fence.

I don't see any cameras here.

I see a sign that says,
"Closed to public use."

This gate is locked,

but I think this could be where
the sound is coming from.

I really think that sound was
someone going through this gate,

but we didn't see
anybody pass by here.

It's like somebody opened
the gate and just disappeared.

Yeah, it's really...

It's really odd because
no one else is down here.

Our whole crew was up there.

We're back.

Were you able to find out
what made the noise?

I found the one fence here,
so I rattled it a little bit.

I think the sound we heard
was someone opening the gate,

and that's the entrance
into the ranch.

I noticed they had a camera
pointing to the ground.

It really feels like
whatever is going on out here,

the government wants
to keep it as a secret.

One thing I can't understand
is why that camera

is facing the ground.

Why aren't they facing, like,
the entrance, you know,

to look for violators?

No, they're pointed
in another direction.

Doesn't makes sense.

Do you guys see that
light above the mountain there?

That could be...a star
that just popped up.

Pretty bright.

Yeah, it is.

Wait, did you see...
Wait, the light is gone.

Yeah, that light is gone.

Holy ****

Where'd it go?

It's gone.
I was watching it.

I looked down for one second,
and I looked back up,

and it was gone.

Oh, my gosh.

They know we're here.

That was some good activity
to end the night.

I want to know
what that light was.

That's a good question.

After a night
of unexplained noises

and strange lights
in the sky

over Bradshaw Ranch, Chuck and
Heather rendezvous with Dan.

What did you see up
in the mountain?

Found some caves.

I saw one big opening
that was probably

about 2 or 3 miles away
from where I was.

I couldn't get to it.

It looked pretty big.

It looked like you can fly
an airplane into it.

Did you see anything
that could've explained --

You know,
we did that sky watch,

and we saw that light right
over where you went up today.

Yeah,
there was no lights.

There was no houses.

There was no electricity
anywhere

running into that whole area,
so those lights that we saw,

I don't know
where they came from.

Well, at the ranch, we saw
something we couldn't explain.

We saw a light.

It lingered there so bright,

brighter than anything,
and it just disappeared.

What do you mean
disappeared?

It disappeared.It just went out.

Alright.
Look at this.

See it move?

It's gone.
- Oh, my God.

- When was that?
- It just disappeared.

That is what we call
a UFO there, guys.

This type of activity

is exactly what people
have been seeing

at the Bradshaw Ranch.

The Native Americans
have been talking

about this type of phenomena
for centuries,

so it's nothing new.

We just happen to be at the
right place at the right time

and captured it on film.

Do you guys think that
this light is somehow related

to the vortexes in the area?

There are a lot of UFO sightings
in this area,

and I think vortexes
are a big part of it.

They're using the vortexes
for something.

To me, this is why there's all
the military presence

in the area,
stuff like this.

It could be.

I mean, we talked to a lot
of witnesses

that have seen
strange vehicles,

strange planes
being around this area,

like, as if
they're watching over it.

I think this is one
of the things

that does trigger
military presence in the area.

I mean, I believe that,
you know,

if the military is there,
they're monitoring it.

This is stuff that's been
going on for a long time.

It's consistent,

and we captured
part of it on camera.

Good job, guys.

Yeah, there was a lot of stuff
on this one.We did really good.

This was a really
good investigation,

and I believe this is one

we're gonna have to
come back to.

Yeah.

Does the amount
of UFO activity in Sedona

indicate that the city
might be a gateway

for interdimensional
alien craft?

And if so, will there
come a time

when Earth becomes more

than just an intergalactic truck
stop on their travels

and instead,
a final destination?
