is preparing for raids
on undocumented people.

the U.S. Immigration and
Customs Enforcement Unit
of the Department of
Homeland Security will
target and deport hundreds of families
who have ignored immigration court orders
to leave this country.

she sat up in the bed called the nurses
and told them she was ready to leave
because my dad was
coming to take her home.
The nurses just disregarded
it and I went home
with my grandmother and,
a few hours later she
passed away in her sleep.
